softkeys

Hi,
i was just wondering, how do you change the softkeys on the imate jamin?

start -> Settings/Einstellungen -> buttons/Tasten

i want to change the buttons on the today screen from calender abd contact to something else.

Try this.
1.Unrar.
2.Put it in \windows.
3.Go to Start>settings>system>softkey and do whatever you want . :lol:

Where did the attachment gone?
Can someone put it there again.

For some reason on myJAMin I can never execute Messaging from the Messaging.lnk file in Start Menu>Programs - it simply doesn't work. So when I use your applet to set the left key to Messaging I need to manually replace Messaging.lnk by \Windows\tmail.lnk in your Open value for Key 112. I have also replaced the Messaging.lnk in Start Menu>Programs by a shortcut to \Windows\tmail.lnk and renamed it to Messaging.lnk. All of this is sure strange because on my Treo 700W it all works OK.

Thanks worked for me too. Also have the same problem though when assigning the send sms button to one of the softkeys.
Also another question : how do you assign speed dial to a soft key can not find it in the list.

Thanks alot, it worked with my Neo. But I cannot assign "New SMS and New MMS" to the softkeys, any solutions for this bros?

New SMS being assigned to the Softkey comes up with the error saying tnsms.exe file missing. I believe that APPLET is ripped of some device where there new SMS were started within this program. Any solution known yet?

I had the same issue..
Just copy the file attached (unzip first ofcourse) into your windows folder (on your mobile)
Works like a charm!

I made a CAB to automatic install of SoftkeyAppletEX.cpl (from BuzzDev). Now you can put it into ext_rom

Shortcut cant work with program in SD Card (CHT ROM)

I upgrade my O2 Mini English version to DOPOD 828 Rom (1.12.06 CHT) with bigstorage. Everything thing is OK but shortcut in program windows is not working with program in SD Card. By checking the shortcut properties path it show as following:
"\???\Limelink\CELunar.exe"
It seems that shortcut cant create correct path as ??? should be "storge card" (in Chinese). Try to amend ??? to "storge card" (in Chinese again) but it didnt work since it still show ???.
The program can run if it is click from "File Explorer" program.
Hope somebody can help to solve problem. :?

Voice dialing with 2.24 ROMs

Hello everybody,
please, do you know how to add new voice tag for a program with any 2.24 ROM (Mr. Clean, Orange...)? When I used Voice Dialer for a first time, it told me that there is no voice tag and I had possibility to add voice tags for Contacts or Programs. Now when I would like to add new voice tag for program, I have no possibility. I can add new command for contact by entering Contacts and choosing "Add voice Tag..." from context menu. But what about programs? In the older ROMs there was shorcut for "learning mode" of Voice Dialer under Start->Settings->Personal, but neither in Mr. Clean nor in Orange 2.24 is such a shorcut anymore. Any ideas? Could anybody with older ROM try to find out something about this shorcut for learning mode of Voice Dialer? Thank you.

I have communicated with the people from Cyberon. Their hint was:
Dear Sir,
1. Please rename VoiceTagCPL.cp_ to VoiceTagCPL.cpl
2. Please copy VoiceTagCPL.cpl to the PDA directory "\Windows".
3. Reset the device.
The Voice Speed Dial settings program icon will show in the
Settings->Personal. We release this file to every manufacture. We are
wondering if they forget to put it in \Windows.

Unfortunatelly, from their message I could not recognize where to locate VoiceTagCPL.cp_. But I found VoiceTagCPL_0409.ini in my Windows directory. I opened that file and there was path to the file CVDSetting.exe in the Windows directory. I have opened this file and voala, that's it! So I have created shorcut of this file and now I ma sattisfied :wink:

HTC Tytn Voice recorder button cannot be activated

Hi,
Yesterday I installed Vito Audio Notes, but also removed it after some testing. But now I cannot get my hardware button for voice recording get back to work. In my windows\Appbuttons folder there is the record.lnk file but in the settings and then the buttons options, from the pull down menu this cannot be selected.
I already restored the link with Sprite Backup, but this was not the solution, I guess it must be somewhere else.
So I want to have button 5 (hold) again be dedicated to record voice notes by holding down the button, and stop recording when I release the button.
Anybody an idea how I can easily fix this?

Copy that file to Windows\start menu\programs. This made it available as a selection for the button settings. I used the radio button and it worked. Just lick, not sure why it works that way.

Mapping Voice Recorder Button (Tried but still does not work)
Please Help. I looked in the location mentioned and copied the "voice.ink" file and placed in the "Windows"-"Start Menu"-"Programs" folder and even soft reset the system but still the "Voice" selection does not appear when trying to map the button. Not sure what to do. Also is there a way to map the other 2 soft buttons? Please help. Thank you in advance.

OK, this is strange. I noticed the voice.ink file is an invalid shortcut and does not work. Also, I found the record.ink (but no .exe file anywhere on the device), but copying it to the windows/programs directory and assigning it to a button doesn't work. I have the newest official ATT/Cingular ROM.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I hate quoting myself, but I did some more digging.
It looks like the record.ink points to a file called hotvoice.exe. Unfortunately, the shortcut doesn't work because trying to execute the hotvoice.exe file doesn't do anything.
Was something done to the new ROM that removes the abilty to voice record directly from a button?

It worked for me
Double check you actually copied the file. I used the total commander copy function and it didn't work. I had to copy the file to the clipboard and then past it into the start menu folder. It works fine now.

Microsoft Voice Command fails to install heeelp

Hi just test if the system worked I download the 5 day trial version of MS Voice Command versus 1.5, because if didn't work I don't was pay 40 euro for it.
Anyway I run the installed until I get the following error popup
"An unrecoverable error occurred in Setup. Reset the device and try again."
What does this mean? And i possible to fix? Will I encounter the same error if I take out my creditcard and by version 1.6 from the Music website?

MS Voice Command Fail to Install
I've been able to get Voice Command to work after that error. First, check in settings/personal to confirm that he Voice Command icon is installed. If it has, make sure Voice Command is enabled in the settings.
Second, navigate to \windows\startup in file explorer and make sure "voice command is in the startup folder.
If both are OK then it probably installed correctly. I have found that the install fails because it cannot assign the default "long press of the send key" to be the voice command. Particularly true if you have a key remapping utility installed.
You'll need to assign a key to the voice command function. Easiest is to use settings/button to assign one of the two hardware keys below the screen to voice command. If you'd prefer to have voice command initiated by a long press of the send key try the following:
In \windows\startup copy the voice command link. Navigate to \windows and paste the link. Rename that link to "Long_Send.lnk". Now when you do a long press of the send key, voice command should beep and wait for your input. (Note: I find it a bit easier to do the rename by copying the Voice Command shortcut to my desktop, renaming there and the copied and renamed link into the X1's \windows folder)

are you saying that there exist an official rom which contains VC 1.6?? Is it multi-language? I am danish

I don't know of an European ROM with VC. I have a US OEM ROM and added on the Voice Command Program.
