Hello. Hopefully this is the right place to post this.
I recently upgraded my Tmobile Wing to Windows Mobile 6.1 but it seems to make my phone slow and sometimes freeze. I was wondering if there was anyway to downgrade back to Windows Mobile 6.
All the help would be greatly appreciated. I need this fixed ASAP. Thank you.

you should try using a custom rom I use open touch v3.0 very fast, every thing you would need to know is posted there to flash it .... check it out ....
there's an official 6.1?

my g4 wizard will connect to the computer but not to activesync. right now it has windows mobile 6.5
someone help 6.5 is way too slow and i want to get 6.1 on there someone tell me how? do i have to hardspl it again??
i'm having the same issues, plus a display problem, but taking it one at a time, some advice would be greatly appreciated
Hello, I'm new in this forum, I have a problem with my LG KS20 SFR France, everything was OK till I tried to upgrade my wm 6 to 6.5, so I had after the reset the message (illegal use) (unavailable otp block) I solved the problem by restoring my old wm 6.5 but the problem is that my mobile doesn't recognize any network wether manually or automatically I'm afraid that I can't repair it, What do you suggest me? Thanks for trying to help me, for reading my message and being intrested.

Maybe you should take a look at this site, this is made for the LG maybe they can help you overthere.

Hi Everyone,
I'd like to upgrade my current WM 6.5 Pro into 6.5.3 ROM using the default Windows Update on the device, but somehow i got this error whenever I'm trying to check the update.
see the detailed screenshot for further error message and my device info.
Any kind of help for updating the OS into 6.5.3 Pro would be greatly appreciated.

You will not update your rom with Windows Update. It is so called "death" service.
To update your rom you will have to do it with your PC, go to ROM section of this forum, there you will find informations how to do it.

so what's the preparation for the backup before loading custom ROM into this phone ?
in case the upgrade process went crazy due to unknown reason because i don't want to brick my new phone.

I have a UK version, HTC SNAP running Windows Mobile OS 6.5 that I need to downgrade to Windows Mobile OS 6.1 for a particular application to load/work.
I am a complete novice to this and I am hoping someone here can give me a clue whether 1) it can be downgraded and 2) a simple explaination how to do it.

I'm pretty sure that this question has already been answered but after going through many threads, I still don't get it, haha.
I have got a MDA Touch Plus (Htc Touch Dual) from T-Mobile UK which is set with Windows Mobile 6.0 (version from 2008, the oldest one I believe). I'd like to update it to WM 6.1 or above (6.5 ?) but I have no idea how to do that.
I tried to get the official version of WM 6.1 from the htc's website, it said that the software wasn't suitable for my device.
I managed to download it anyway using another HTC Dual Touch's serial number but I don't feel confident trying to install it when the website stated that it wasn't suitable.
Here are my questions then:
- Is there a risk of damaging the mobile phone if I try to install the official version that wasn't apparently suitable for the mobile phone ?
- Where can I get a version of WM 6.1/6.5 that will work with my phone ?
- Is there a guide to install it ?
- My phone is unlocked so I can use my Orange's Sim as well, by updating it using an unofficial version of WM, will the phone stay unlock ?
I apologise if my questions are quite silly but I haven't got any experience in customing ROMs and all that kind of stuff ^^"

I checked that post and that's how I made my way to the Main HardSpl/uspl (whatever it means) thread actually.
I found some interesting stuff on how to proceed, I'm just not really sure of what I'm doing.

with flash HardSPL ROM you will be able to flash anything to your device!
