Hi,
I'm just wondering where you bought your vogue ? I live in Germany and I've never heard something like a htc vogue. There isn't one in ebay.de..
All I know is that there is a HTC Touch. But nothing else ?
Does it have another Name in Germany ?
Could the German Vogue also boot linux ?
HTC released the Touch, which is the official name, but was released in both CDMA and GSM models.
Vogue: CDMA
Elf: GSM
okay then, but is it possible to start linux like on the vogue, just on the touch ?
I really like the touch, maybe I'll get one..
It might work, not sure, check through the Linux thread.

HTC has issued a ROM update from WM5 to WM6 for the P4000.
It's available for download on the HTC America site...
http://www.america.htc.com/support/p4000/software-downloads.html
I hope this comes as good news to those of you waiting (as I have been) for the update to WM6.
Cheers,
Mick
AWESOME FIND!! this is what i've been waiting for since i bought my p4000!
I been checking the Screen Capture in the WEB PAGE for this ROM at HTC and comparing with mine (I Have a MOGUL) and there is some difference with my ROM installed (the last one for the MOGUL, with the SPRINT MUSIC STORE), look a little more updated, I'm just wondering if i can install this ROM (supposedly only for TELUS) in my Sprint MOGUL without any problems.....THANKS
Well, as with the GSM HTC devices, you may need to play with your carrier ID... basically, every carrier brands their devices so that you don't "mess up" and install an update for the wrong device (if its the wrong hardware, the update WILL brick your phone).
Since the Telus and Sprint device in question are the same hardware, it should work. The trick is to fool the updater into working.
This isn't simple, and I'm not sure if anyone has done it yet with the Titan.
QUESTION FOR THOSE THAT HAVE INSTALLED THIS:
are you getting the bluetooth bug that is plaguing the spring Mogul users? How about the directdraw problems?
Does any one still have the ROM?
The site does not exist. HTC has removed the upgrade for this phone... I was wondering if any one still has the copy of this rom?
Has anyone out there had sucess with installing Blackberry Connect on the US version of the HTC Touch Dual and operating as designed? I had blackberry connect working on my two HTC Touch's but need to have it on the HTC Touch dual since this is my new primary business phone. Can anyone lend some direction on the situation?
Regards,
Jay
bb version
I am trying to get to work with the neon200, which it seem like the same model as the U.S version. What version of bb connect have you try? With the previous HTC touch that you got it to work, was it flash with custom ROM or was it original ROM?

Does it have to be WM6.1? What Rom are you running. I´ve made a custom rom for the Neon, you can try that. I dont have a blackberry account so i really cant try.
I´m trying to port to wm6.1 and i´ve asked if someone would be kind enough to dump a rom of a US Touch Dual but so far no one has been kind enough to do so.

My original HTC Touch was equipped with the orginal ROM and I used the 4.0..97 BB connect. It worked on both of my touch phones but this touch dual is different. I wouldn't mind using another ROM but I do not want to loose my radio version because it is configured for 850 which I need here in the states. My windows mobile is 6.1. I really like this phone but I need BB connect to be operational on the unit otherwise I cannot be efficient with my business.
Below are my device specs:
ROM Version: 2.21.422.04
ROM Date: 05/06/08
Radio Version 1.65.20.19
Protocol: 25.86.40.04w
I couldn't get it to work with the stock Rom on the Touch Dual I bought at Best Buy. I don't know why it works with some phones like the Tilt but not others.
I was able to install it but when I tried to get BB Connect Active Sync to configure my Enterprise server config I got the PIN 0 error.
I remember wasting so much time with either the Wizard or another phone last year and just don't have the time to research further.
Same here. Have had it working on another Touch, as well as other WinMo phones, but don't want to spend a ton of time again to get this working. Why must RIM be such idiots and make it so hard?! Create one client, limit the capability so a RIM hardware device is always better somehow[like 10 email accounts in BIS, versus only 3 on the WinMo client], but don't limit the devices that can use a BBC client! It makes no sense really...
well, it apears that htc took down the link for the rom flash for the touch cdma. anyone here have it or a link to where i can get it? i am going to list my phone on ebay soon and i want to reset it to like-new specs and remove all of my personal touches. thanks!
You my friend have a CDMA HTC Touch which is NOT an Elf, but a Vogue.
Head over to the Vogue forums here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=389
or the forums at ppcgeeks has a nice community as well for the CDMA Touch -> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48
Is it possible to detect which hardware version a certain HTC phone is? Like if it is a RHOD100, RHOD210, RHOD300? Or if it is a T7373 or T7377?
I don't mean going by what the ROM says, because you can flash a T7373 ROM on a T7377 and the T7377 will think it is a T7373 in some places.
Could someone with an unbranded HTC Touch Pro2 tell me which processor is listed in hardware information? My Tilt2 says 7201A, does the unbranded show something else?
i want to send my sister this phone and i want to make sure it works in mexico.
also i want to make it only android, it has windows mobile but i can make it android but i always have to keep the phone on. XP
hi, im from México and i have a T-mobile htc hd2 fully operable on Telcel but you need to do a carrier unlock there are some sites where you can buy the code, just to get the phone working on México Carriers (telcel, movistar and unefon) the only thing that will not work is 3g cuz in méxico the baseband is different so you cant use it anyways you can use EDGE plan (you need to configure this)... thats for the usa version of htc hd 2 T8585 anyways no doubts it will work just fine i recommend you to use windows mobile 6.5 cuz if u sister shut down or take the battery off to put the chip it will reset and back to winmo 6.5 unless she know how to boot android hehe, pm me if you need help (english and spanish) k cya ^^
It does work if the phone is unlocked. Just make sure the carrier is GSM. Will work with Telcel but only in 2G bands, won't work in 3G.
You can't make it Android only because at this time there's no way to flash the NAND to Android. Everytime that she turns off the phone It's going to start in WM
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
ok then, yea well i guess ill see what happens then, and that kinda suck that u cant keep andriod. XP i own an evo but my dad either wants to send an iphone to her or a htchd2 XD thanks for the help.
Hey I have the same doubt... I want to buy an hd2 but idk if it will fully work here in mexico! and so mexico doesn't have 3g wow we suck!!
In mexico works HD2 tmobile just unlock it before or buy it unlocked, don't work the 3g, if you want 3G work buy the Telstra version that support the 850 frequency, but is more expensive.
htc hd2 works
hello i have one HTC HD2 LEO working with telcel...
also i have just run android froyo but after rebooting comes back to WM there is a cople of apps that can make android to run after booting i will post links here...
but i want to warn u because after i rebooted HD2 i cannot install anymore apps because of a certificate problem i am getting an error that cannot instal .cab because is not a trusted certificate and also cannot run android
soft reset doesnt help...there is a couple links that says to resolve that but instead to resolve it now i cant sync outlook
i want to make a hard reset but i am afraid that i am going to loose unlocked feature and doesnt accept anymore SIM from telcel!!!
any help?

Telcel Internet
APN: internet.itelcel.com
Username: webgprs
Password: webgrps2002
the t9193 will get 3G with those settings, the t8525 EDGE only.
Certainly yes!
I was in Cabo first week of March and my phone roamed to Movistar in San Jose Del Cabo and Telcel in Cabo San Lucas without a problem.
Or, you could just buy a sim for either prior to going and set yourself up once there.
