Hi, I have an HTC P4350 with WM6, ROM version 4.17.405.2 WWE, I need to downgrade to WM5. What i dont know is if this device came originally with WM5 or WM6, but what I need is to downgrade it.
Can anyone help me?

if it's a stock HTC device (or basically, not a tmobile wing) it came with wm5.
look for the RUU for your device. and flash it
Find a stock rom. flash it. It will take the device to wm5.

To be honest, I don't know.
I thought the i-mate rom was in a different format - not cabs. It didn't work on my 2i with tomtom either so I had to downgrade back to the original rom.
Does anyone out there know for sure?
The unit has been constantly freezing and it takes about 20 reboots a day so would like to try it on its original Rom does anyone know where I can find this.
I have found the WM6 upgrade but would firstly like to see what its like on wm5. Currently running the black rom but freezes.

There is no UK T-Mobile WM5 ROM available.
The closest you will get is to download the German version and use the English CAB.
It will restore it to appear just as good as the WWE ROM, however, if you are requiring this for a warranty return, as soon as the engineer hard resets and finds it to be German... could cause problems...

I have been told by HTC that once you upgrade an X7500 to WM6 that it changes the bootloader and you can NOT go back to WM5??? Has anyone successfully gone back to WM5 from WM6?

if you are looking for an official English Vodafone Qtek 9100 wm5 Rom (WWE),you can get it here in this link,but if you want to upgrade to wm6,there's no official stock wm6 upgrade available,for that you'll have to flash a custom build wm6 rom,but then you'll have to SIM/CID unlock your phone first and upgrade.You'll find latest wm6 roms in the "Wizard mobile 6" forum.

zabardast_1 I tried this link below... but it gave me an Error [260] Update error while flashing the rom. And Ive noticed that everytime my phone starts to load, the connection between PC and phone is lost... and that same error popped-up.

You can flash the ROMs with the RUU in the ROM package, should you have trouble with upgrading, try Mun's RUU (thanks for the tip Boto).
Download Mun's RUU from the above link and replace it with the RUU in the Rom which you want to flash.

Hi i am very new at this, i've read a lot of post on how to upgrade Wm 6.0 to my orbit, but I am still very comfused about CID unlock and things like that. What are steps by steps how to upgrade it to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 if possible. Could anyone please help me out. I don't want to bricked the phone. Thanks in advance.

yes it is possible...but with other rom,so find one that is wm6.1

to unlock the CID follow the instructions in

and then choose a room you need (since you want WM6.1 for orbit) it will be not official, so you need to find a rom you want and then flash it.
I want to switch back to WM5 and require the official WM5 WWE ROM, where do I get it. (CID/SIM unlocked). I also need the official/best radio/GSM for it. any links? and do I need to downgrade my SPL/IPL version for it?
or does the ROM includes the Radio/GSM?
ok installed K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship and it solved most of issues.
