Hi guys,
Waiting for HTC Touch Diamond to be released on Orange or T-Mobile. So decided to dig up my wife's old HTC Charmer and have a play. Nice and informative website btw.
I (unfortunately) upgraded the ROM to 3.8 from T-mobile, and have not been able to sync with Windows Mobile Device Centre in Vista ever since. I have tried various things but nothing so far seemed to work. I'm thinking about downgrading to the original ROM again but it won't install, either via the "normal" route or in bootloader screen. The programme just says the ROM I'm flashing with is "not compitable with my device". Any ideas?
Adrian
you can try a fresh install of active sync

I recently purchased an AT&T SX56 and had it unlocked so that I can use it with T-Mobile service. It works great but it still has the old AT&T software on it Pocket PC 2002. I would like to upgrade to PPC 2003 which is available on the T-Mobile site, but I am concerned that flashing the device with T-mobile software will kill it. Has anyone had an experience with this? Will it work?? I can d-load the PPC 2003 from siemens for AT&T but I would rather have T-mobile.
Download it but only flash the ce rom part of it, dont flash the radio if you have a good working phone already, there is nothing there to damage your phone, people on this site have used roms from everywhere without problems, it is better to use the sd method for flashing using xdatools.
I tried the t mobile upgrade
but it told me my rom version was not compatible and aborted the upgrade. I have an att sx-56 that I unlocked by loading the special rom 3.17 ENG. So I'm running on that rom until I spot the next plan on here.
This rom is cool but can anyone tell me how to get the buttons to work when the phone is off again? Also the calendar language is not english any idea on where to set that?
Thanks love this site and the great people on here!

Use the kitchen at http://xda.weblink.net/ to cook a TMO 4.01.16 ROM and use the SD card method to over come the version verification.
Finished... for now anyway
Did as suggested above and then used t-mobile released version to upgrade radio... Now have the official t-mobile version of OS ROM and Radio. I miss the old special edition rom already!
Thanks everyone!

I have a Rogers HTC Touch and I downloaded the cooked 6.1 upgrade from the forums. I also installed the CID unlocker. I ran the CID unlocker which went fine. I then did the install of the 6.1 ROM which went through no problems.
Now my phone does random reboots. I've tried doing hard resets and everything....the phone still does random reboots and I have no idea why.....Can anyone here help me? has anyone else had any problems like this? is there something I did wrong?
Thanks,
DiSkO
I had the same problem with my rogers phone until it just quit working (locked up on the color screen). Good thing I backed up my ROM and my data.
Would you be able to hook me up with a copy of the Rogers ROM by any chance?? I didn't know how to back up the current ROM so i never got a chance to.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
DiSkO
yeah if you have the original rom for the rogers touch I would benefit from having that available as well.
I foolishly didnt back up the rom before i started and now i'm using a asia rom
Hey!
My Brother got an HTC Artemis from T-Mobile (the one without WLAN) and he flashed it with the wrong Rom i think (some Windows Mobile 6.5)... now his Artemis freezes sometimes....
I tried to flash back to the old Rom which i got from wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_Upgrades
but it always says Wrong Model ID now.
But flashing to other Roms found here are still fine...
Someone here had the same Problem as me?
Don't know what to do at the moment, i tried it with USPL, but still says Wrong Model ID!
Hi all, I have been having many problems with my HTC HD2 which i got with the o2 UK network. So I tried to upgrade it to 1.6 Rom (unofficial o2 update) which i thought may fix alot of the problems which it has not. So I have to return it back to O2 now, so how do I change it back to the 1.4 Rom that this phone came with? Oh yes if you have not guessed im not techy at all, so please explain in very simple language, thanks!
hd2 rom development section, Leo official roms thread, first post first link, 1.43 folder, download one of the two roms that says O2 UK (theyre both the same, of one doesnt work try the other)
connect phone to pc, when connected, run the O2 Uk .exe file, , , this will reset the rom and radio to stock.
Next, run HSPL2 (download if you havent already got it, theres a link im my sig) and in the dropdown list, choose 1.42.0000 OK,
job done. The phone is now stock.
newbee to HD2's .....
I've recently got a t-mobile HD2 and got it unlocked. At the moment i'm using it with an O2 contract till november.
Have installed opera 10 (not installed as standard) but it still wants to use this silly WEB'N'WALK. How do i remove this ?
The only other thing thats getting on my wick is the T-MOBILE startup screen wish it was the original HTC one. How can i chnage this ?
Have tried to upgrade ROM from 1.43 to 1.48 but it wouldn't work. Got 10% but error couldn't complete came up.
can anyone help
cheers
chris
Install HardSPL on the device (check ROM forum) then pop the default splash screen on. Then put a non T-Mobile Rom on the device, take your pick from standard 1.66 or custom and u should be all sorted
