Note:
Compatible with polaris, but at the and of the process, in HTC Rom tool you have to write POLA***** not KAIS*****
Of course, you have to use a Polaris base rom....
(With this I succesfully reconstruced the 1.28.457.2 dumped polaris rom)

i also try to follow jcespi2005 guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337066
but not success

Hi fktsndr,
according jcespi2005
3. Download the modified version by Alex of Kaiser Kitchen here, that allows to reconstruct the ROM from the dump. The Kaiser Kitchen allows to cook a ROM from a dumped one and from base NBH shipped one. You need to put the NBH file from the step before in the BaseROM folder, and put the RAW files too. Then execute the KAISERKITCHEN.CMD and choose the next options from the menu it this order:
could u tell where i can get the NBH file?

Extract it, you will find an RUU_Signed.NBH file.

Or you just flash the Rom from link above, if you send your polaris for service they dont know what rom you had in your device? right

Or ask the HTC Cutstomer Service to send the rom you have.
An xda-user, Uton did this, and he got the 1.28.457.2 rom.

I stick with the manual for the Hermes.
Tried the kitchen, but it is not very clear to me.
Can you tell me how to get a ruu_signed.nbh for the Polaris?
I tried using a downloaded custom ROM, nenaming it to ruu_signed.nbh, but that ROM is WWE and my cooked
ROM will be Dutch (NL).
Ok, tried the Kaiser Rom kitchen.
Looks like this is the best option.
I managed to create a Dutch ROM and reflash my device. But it is slow as hell compared to the 6.1 WWE version i tried before.
My ROM lacks radio. Does someone know which file to use when creating the rom.
I'm looking for the radio.nbh
I'm trying to dump my Spanish Polaris ROM and I'm following the steps showed by 'session' but this is the response that I obtain from the DOS session: "Copying D:\Instalacions\hardware\HTC\ROMs\ROM utils\itsutils.dll to WCE:\windows \itsutils.dll
Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is inuse?
try restarting your device, or restart activesync or maybe your device is application-locked."
Any idea? Someone can help me?

Thanks for the information, but actually my question is how to convert dumped files to a flashable ROM using modified Kaiser kitchen. I know how to dump the ROM.
Nobody has an answer?
you can read all about it in the first post, in the wiki-pages and in the kaiser kitchen readme as well.
worked for me.
OK. Thanks. I'll check the readme of kaiser kitchen, because the first post here does not explain what need be changed for Polaris.
After reading readme of kaiser kitchen I have some more questions:
1. If I just want to convert dumped raw files to flashable ROM then I don't need to extract RUU_signed.nbh from WWE "shipped" ROM and put it in BaseROM folder. Instead of this I put Part01.raw and Part02.raw from my dump into BaseROM folder. Is this correct?
2. Does RUU_signed.nbh resulting from the execution of !Cook.cmd script contain also original radio and SPL or OS only?
3. What do I do with Part03.raw and Part04.raw files?

Dumped rom is here. As I know, for reconstructing dumped roms need rom kitchen Also need at least one original rom, downloaded from toshiba support site for litle hacking. This is a litle help, but we still don't know what type of flashable file uses toshiba and still don't have any original rom.
Another thing, "maybe" (I'm not 100% sure, not even 10%) toshiba tg01 is htc based device. "If" it's, can somebody try to enter bootloader mode - if it exist

hey all
As xda will not have a dedicated sub forum for Toshiba tg01 (a pity), I suggest you all got to MoDaCo.com which now has a dedicated sub forum for the tg01. It was this forum that made i900 what it is today.
http://TG01.MoDaCo.com
If you look in the i900 section, you can see that huge activity and rom cooking going on there a, so don't be fool by the new topic. http://www.modaco.com/category/342/i9x0-omnia-http-omnia-modaco-com/
Come on mates, post your experience here http://TG01.MoDaCo.com
Got TF3D from topaz running just fine on TG01 right now. Gotta patch a few programs to bypass valid-htcdevice checks, and it'll be a sweet ass phone. Have to install all via cabs for now though, as we really need to program this device. May not even need a hard-spl, as some devices don't even check for valid signatures. But we do need to know what RUU method is used, so please someone post up a valid tg01 flashing program to dissect it.
Until Toshiba releases a software upgrade, there's no RUU (or DSUU in Toshiba terminology) available to the public to dissect.
Chances are DSUU will be similar to one Toshiba had used with their other PDAs G900, G910 and G810. You could start looking at it to get an idea of how upgrade process works...

I don´t know if this is any help, but there seems to be an software update in form of a .tiu file (SP-00 > SP-01) available for the Docomo T-01A, which is the japanese Version of the Toshiba TG01.
It should be the update that patched the error where you couldn´t dial some numbers. But maybe there are some other useful information inside for you.
Have a look at it here:

Is this information true
http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/0,39029453,49302940,00.htm
If so, the TG01 will get the WM6.5 OTA update. But when ?
Yes, i´ve read that on many sites, so i guess that should be true. Since WM 6.5 is available it shouldn´t take too long?

[Q] ROM HP iPAQ Glisten-AT&T dump?

hi,
it seems to be that the next gen of 914c has released with the wm 6.5 os.
does any one use this phone?
can you dump the rom and upload here.
It will be useful for cooker to make the "like HP" rom for 914c.
The phone is only avaible in America, ut if someone manages to dump to rom pherhaps we could have a native 6.5 kernell for the 9xx series?????
highly doubt you can have native kernel as nk.exe is very specific to one device. most likely the best you can do is take some software from the dump

can you download this tool:
mediafire
after unrar, run the command prompt in the folder, then run the following command with activesync connected to your device:
.\Tools1\pdocread -l
.\Tools1\pdocread -t
and paste the result here so we can determine the size of rom that you need enter for the next command. thanks
if the second command (pdocread -t) return something similiar to this:
real nr of sectors: 163840 - 80.00Mbyte, 0x5000000
where 0x5000000 is your rom size (in this example, this is 61x rom size)
then run this command (repalce 0x5000000 with the size you obtaind in the above command:
.\Tools1\pdocread 0x0 0x5000000 diskimage_Ver.nb0
and upload the nb0 file to somewhere for us =)

I suppose Part03 is your program storage, you can verify by checking your main storage size in setting->system->memory.
ok try this to extract the imgfs (suppose to be part02):
pdocread -w -d DSK1: -p Part02 0 0x77c0000 Part02.raw
I think part01 is the xip, you may also extract it with this command:
pdocread -w -d DSK1: -p Part01 0 0x340000 Part03.raw
if there is error you can add the -b 0x800 switch to read using specific sectorsize
e.g
pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part02 0 0x77c0000 Part02.raw
seems like the setup looks alike to ipaq21x...for fun you can also try using different hardware button(s) to see if you can get into bootloader mode .etc (not that i will build a rom for it haha..)
I have dig some more detail from pdadb apparently this device is manufactured by Pegatron (an ASUS division that do ODM (i.e built device for other brands) )
Hi, did you successfully dump the ipaq glisten? Dumping the ROM can unlock the phone? Mine is still locked with ATnT. Can you guys help me unlock it?

we are still waiting for the dump, and dumping the rom does not mean unlocking...unlocking is a lot of more complicated and I have no idea on that
i got a hold of the rom dump from a member, mediafire is too slow now so i probably upload later when I back home.

qtek 9000 (storage?) problem

Hello!
I'd like to ask you (advanced users) for some help.
I'm experiencing some strange problems with my Qtek 9000 (original ROM 1.30 WWE).
Last week I was taking some photos, these photos were written onto the internal storage. Unfortunatelly taking photos completely drained my battery, and my Qtek didn't manage to save the last photo.
After recharging I have copied all the photos to free some space. Unfortunatelly now I experience the following problems:
After some time (an hour or so) the backlight goes to its maximum, and usually I'm not able to continue my work (for example I cannot save documents in Word Mobile: not enough memory). When I go to settings it shows, that available memory is less than 0. I cannot run any programs, some icons are damaged.
After reset everything is OK, but after another hour or so the same problems occur.
I've tried the "reset to the factory settings" method, but it doesn't solve the problem.
Please, help me.
PS. Sorry for my English, I'm not native speaker.
Welcome to forums
I can think on this recommendations:
- Check your battery is not too old
- Do hard reset (take out SIM and SD before)
- Try to flash to another faster stable ROM (WM6.1 will do it)
All you need to know on how to here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567017
Hope it helped and good luck,

I have changed my ROM to WM6.1 but I still experience the same problem:
after an hour the backlight goes to its maximum, the device is almost completly frozen, I cannot save my work in Word Mobile (out of memory)
In Settings->Memory I get
Storage:
Allocated: 0.03 MB
In use: -32.83 MB
Free: 32.86 MB
Is there any utility like scandisk for windows mobile?

There's something wrong with these partitions, I guess: too many and overlapping.
Could someone tell me, please, how I could recrate partitions, and restore raw sectors from original ROM?

How to choose WM6.5.x BASE ROM and drivers for cooking my own ROM ?

Hello devs,
I need to cook my own ROM for my device (digibee SP1) which doesnt have any custom ROM (And you cant find any info regarding this device in google search ).
And this device is based on Marvell PXA310 processor,
256 MB ROM,
256 MB RAM,
3.6" WVGA Display,
3.0MP primary and 0.3 MP secondary cameras,
Bluetooth 2.0,
Wi-Fi 802.11b/g,
GPS (SIRF III).
These are the specs,
Now i want to cook my own windows mobile 6.5.x ROM, can you please let me know where to start and which device base ROM need to be used?
I have found that Omnia i900 uses same processor, can i choose i900 ROM for my project?
And i my device registry i have found then many driver .dll file names contain zylonite (eg:- zylonite_lcd.dll), and these zylonite name based driver files were also present in samsung Omnia i900.
And is there any way to find what hardware parts were used in my device? like audio chip model, what peripheral controllers were used, etc. So that we can use the drivers from the respective devices.
Please guide me guyz.

Are you aware of the whole work-flow of replacing a ROM? Cooking a ROM is just one part of it - and not the most complicated one since we have OS Builder. You have to solve the following challenges:
dump the existing ROM, so you get all the need OEM packages
rebuild that one to see if you can do it
upload the cooked ROM
now you can pull another ROM from another device, you best pick a widely used one which is similar to your device
Do a XIP and SYS port with OS Builder (a lot of traps to catch here)
upload the cooked ROM
Each of the above steps has several challenges on its own and you need different expert know-how for each of them. Best is to find a dedicated forum for just this device and discuss there.
Most users here have HTC devices or (from their history) ASUS. It is a hard life for those not following the mainstream..

Thank you for your info, is there any guide which help me to start my work.?
No there is no guide for the full work-flow. Care for the steps individually and seek around the various sites - including this one. This is a project for experienced hackers only - nothing to pick a recipe from a book and start cooking.
