Phone Dialer not "available"

Hi!
Big problem!!..phone MDA Vario (Qtek9100) with molski ROM
When i press phone button to switch on phone dial application i just see white background...I tested many skins for phone dialer and all as ok, but than ...at once...i tested one more and i get white background..if i see my last call history or quick dial, it's everytihng OK, just on main screen with dial pad, there is "whitness"...i can press buttons, it's work but i'cant see them..
If i use some skin with black numbers, than i see only numbers...again all other white...
I tested Today Background in transparency with 0%,but after that i put transparency back to normal (i choose another wallpaper and set transpareny to 65%) .....if this have any connection with my problem....

Dialpad Skin WITH smartdial

hey all
i tried jimm98y's Vista Dialer and whenever i install it, i dont get the smartdial window.
can ANYBODY help with this.
or, point me in the direction of a dialer skin which incorporates a Smartdial function and is BLACK and has big buttons.

but just seen this msg in teh archioves, have you tried in the phone dialer going menu/ Smart Dialing Options, and ensuring its enabled? Works ok for me int eh Vista dialer on WM5

Spb as default today screen

I am using HTC touch can anyone please help me to make spb mobile shell as the default today screen i went to the posts of spb mobile shell but they are soooo big that i couldnt find anything.........all i want that spb interface to be my default today screen.... thanks in advance

You mean the 3 sided one where you can flip through?
You can't really have it as a today screen. You can however set it to display on wakeup so every time you turn on your phone it's there. And when you lock your phone it is also there.

no all i want is the first one the analog clock one with the weather and all plugins i dont need the spb menu and the speed dial contacts

This can be happen and after soft reset. Just edit the mobile shell's shortcut in the windows\startup folder with a file manager(I use total commander) and remove the "-noshow" option. If there is not exist an spb mobile shell shortcut, just create one from the executable.
The problem is that starts in launcher screen and not in Now, and I didn't find until now how to change this. Maybe there is a command line parameter but I don't know which is.

please sum1 only tell me how to bring the now screen (the analog clock one only) as the today screen i dont want anything else...........

you cant. search through the millions of mobile shell 2.0 threads. the closest thing you can do is that reg hack, or go to mobile shell settings and set the now screen to appear on device wake up. it cant be set as your today screen.

There is a shortcut to the Now screen. If you look where you can assign buttons it allows you to choose the Now screen. I am not sure where it is as an exucatable.

You can go to the Now screen with the "\Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\Menulauncher.exe -now" command. You can assign it to a button, or a FTouchFlo gesture.

1.) Copy the "MobileShell.exe" application from \Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell, and
2.) create a shortcut "Shortcut to MobileShell.lnk" in \windows\StartUp, then
3.) Perform a Soft reset.
Now the Mobile Shell Spb Menu (Application) screen auto loads after the soft reset. No Reg edit required for this...
I have not seen or heard of a Now Screen edit as of yet but I'm sure one of these great Programmer / Chefs has one in the works... Have you seen what they are doing so far?

The above mention instructions does not replace the Today Screen but only bypasses it after a reset. If you close MS2.0 at any time, it will take you back to the Today Screen. As far as I know, you can not totally replace your Today Screen.
Good luck and keep on reading... The XDA Google search function can do wonders....

Thanks for this! With this I achieve to make the device starts in now screen after soft reset with the help of mortscript.
I made a shortcut with above command, and after I write this script:
Code:
run ("\Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MobileShell.exe")
Sleep( 10000 )
Run ("\Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MenuLauncher.lnk")
I put a shortcut of the script file in windows\startup folder and reset the device.
Now I have the now screen after every soft reset.

I modified the memwatcher sdk sample to launch spb now screen whenever user gets to today screen. Install the CAB file and every time when you return to today screen it'll quickly put you back at spb now screen.

Be careful when using this cab.
I installed this tool on my german htc touch and now the device freezes all the time.
There is an error message saying " can`t open file MenuLauncher. Perhaps this file is not signed or one of its component is missing".
Then my device is showing the rotating icon for searching and doesn`t accept any input. How can i get rid of this without having to hardreset my htc ? After soft reset the device is still running in this error message, and active sync will not recognize my ppc to uninstall from there, so I need some help please.......

Contact tab on my Today Screen?

Hi guys, I have searched and searched but cant find.. Is there a prog that can fix so I can have lets say five contacts on my today screen? So I just tap them and either get some options, sms or call up. Or it just calls them up.
Hope u understand what I'm out after =)
Of course I mean the today screen with the TF3D disabled =)

If you are looking for an appliacation without TF3D, for a normal today application then try SPB Shell.

sadly speaking all doesnt work on manilla... only 1 i have awork around is icontact and changing the left key to icontact... but i really love mobile shell contacts

You can definately use it with "2nd Today", I am using SPB Traveller with 4 different clocks & VOIP on the normal Today Screen.

I run SPB Mobile shell, it's not active as a plug-in, I can still use the slide move from "Start" tho ( 15 extra fav contacts and stuff ), and by using Fantastic Bytes Softkey Manager 1.1 my right softkey is set to SPB contacts, works like a charm

SPB Mobile Shell & HTC Sense?

I have SPB Mobile Shell installed and have HTC Sense as my Today screen. I have tried to resequenced them in Start-Up and still works as such:
1. When I boot up SPB MS shows but then HTC Sense Today (ST) displays.
2. I have a shortcut/Icon to get to SPB MS on HTC ST screen. However, if I go to SPB MS it takes me to that screen then immediately returns to HTC ST.
3. If I change the shortcut/Icon to SPB Carousel it does take me to the carousel and I can select any screen except SPB MS and it will stay/display that screen until I go back to HTC ST.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this so when I go to SPB MS and still use HTC ST I can stay there on SPB MS?
On my Omnia I900 I can do basically what I want, however, I am using Omnia Home Option 1 or 2 instead of HTC ST. Tried comparing the two sequence and that is the same on boot-up.

download shell switcher (freeware) from omarket works perfectly ..just select the shell that you prefer either spb, htc sense or windows..alternative would be go to settings and de select sense from today screen options.. its best if you save spb on the device rather then storage card also please note if you select spb you would not be able to access the htc sense today screen only.sry if i misunterstood your question.hope that helps

Thanks! I tried that months ago and must have had an older version since it was not very responsive. Trying the latest that I downloaded and installed, and it seems to work better.
I only wish there was a way to go directly back and forth without making a selection each time. I will play with it to see if there are any options to set default, i.e., SPB SM to HTC Sense (if on SPB SM) and/or HTC Sense to SPB SM (if on HTC Sense) without making a selection each time. Meaning if you on on SPB MS have an Icon to take you directly to HTC and vice versa.
The options shown are:
1. Switch to Selected Shell (but you have to go to the Shell Switcher and Select HTC Sense or SPB Mobile Shell then Switch to that (SPB or HTC Shell.)
2. Switch to Classic Today screen such as: Resco Today Plugin, Pocket Player, Iconsoft PhonEx, Google Search, Skyfire, ElecontWeather, Windows Live, Bing, Instant Messaging, SPB Diary, SPB Backup, SPB Traveler, etc.
Do appreciate your help. My Shout!!

Definitely, I will post here. I been on YouTub looking for a solution, too. I thought I found one where a bloke posted about SPB MS V5, but it was not V5 and it wasn't showing how to switch back and forth.
