I've installed it on my TyTN and it works fine with the LVSW ROM I'm running.
Man this rapidshare site sucks. Always slow and never give you chance to download. Either the time out or download tries ends or the link is invalid. what the hell. you have this forum's ftp then what is problem
Please note this does NOT work for the Hermes, or at least not for me. Had to uninstall it because I couldnt start my dialer after installing this cab.
no problem in my hermes, seens cool with the htc touch today
I've just noticed that if you install the dialer skin you'll lose the "G" or "3G" in the top bar.
does this version of the dialer support vid calling?
Assuming not if it was originally done for the wizard
Anyone can confirm the missing 3G icon anomaly?

It's not supporting video calls as the HTC Touch doesn't support it.
No Video calling - and the line where your manually dialed number is displayed is much too dark... (dark numbers on dark background)!
yeah it removes the icon..seems it slows down the phone also since it wasnt made for wm6

Could anybody help me? I want to uninstall cab but it can't. I got the message "The Equinox Wizard reTOUCHed Dialer could not be uninstalled completely...".
And the Dialer has still the reTOUCHed skin... =(
Softboot etc. has no effect...

Lost the 3G/E icon as well. After uninstall and soft reset, all seems to be well.

Hello everybody !
Is there a way (with regedit) to have this dialer skin with the right size on a HTC Touch HD screen ?
Call Status Issue
I am using a Wizard (with Herald ROM port) and I am having a peculiar issue where in the "Call Status" screen none of the icons are showing on the buttons. The buttons seem to be working fine but they are just blank. The only thing showing properly is the background and the blue call information box. Anybody had this issue before?
PS. this is happening only on the call status screen. The mail (dialer) screen seems fine.
Nevermind, had some registry issues and got them fixed. This is an excellent skin! I only wish it had a soft key for call/end

Is there a way to customize the layout of the TC dialpad? For example, I would like to remove the Video Call button and/or resize the number keys. Can this be done?
Yes it can be done. Have a look at bepes WM6.1 ROM thread. He uses a different dial pad than the original htc ROMs do. I just dont know how, all I know it can definitely be modified, changed and skinned.

Hello, with schaps advanced config you can change dialpad. Just disable the phone skin and after a soft reset you've got original wm6 dialskin.

I miss a very comfortable "silent" button available in all mobile phones which switches off the ringtone while sb is calling you. any idea how to create such an option with TC?

i use aebuttons to remap volume up to button 2 (browser button). it works.
Is there a large dialpad similar to idialer but with smart dial (so spelling out a contacts name will bring up their number) ? or even a way to enable smart dial?

You can try Yota Dialer (search here), except it's a little buggy for me.
thanks for replies guys but Innosoft doesn't seem to have smart dial otherwise was good and ya yota is just a bit too buggy (not to mention it takes up as much space as the regular htc dialer)

There isn't one really.
I've been looking for the same solution for a while.
Put a request for a developer here instead. I'll put my hand in for the graphics.
iconsoft phonex has smart dialing and a large keypad, I think the latest version uses a lot less ram too a simple dialpad similar to that would be great to replace the small wm dialer

phonex is not bad but when receiving it interferes with the windows 6.5 lock screen, otherwise it was actually pretty good, had smart dial n everything
o3touch seems to be a keyboard not a dialer so cant really comment on that

its a VGA touchflo 2d dialer, the dial screen is perfect with smart dial and good buttons, as well the incall screen works great.
forgot to test out how it works with an incoming call and the wm6.5 lock screen (though it probably wont work that well)
but the big killer for this is that its not finished and in wm 6.5 when using smart dial the contacts all wash into eachother and become unreadable (the names will just constantly overlap eachother so its unreadable)
anyone know of a dialer similar to this but JUST the dialer, the incall screen is nice but not a big deal but any kind of custom incoming call screen will just screw with the wm6.5 lock screen
i've seen a boat loads of dialers for qvga (minimal dialer being really good) so their has to be something similar for VGA, or if their are any developers who could make 1 for 6.5
its the same dialer as 6.1 but because the lock screen already has slide to answer built in and an incall screen built in we only need to skin the actually dialer itself
and of course if anyone has a dialer they really like please share

I am using Iconsoft Phonex as my dialer. Its a super dialer. My problem is it doesnot integrate with the People tab provided on Touch flo. Clicking on the call button in the people tab doesnot initiate a call. It appears to become a dummy if i have Phonex running. I think it is because TF3D doesnt know it needs to use Phonex dialer to initiate the call. I am sure there is some registry key i need to modify to get this working.
Anybody aware of this? Any known fixes available? This would make my phone perfect!
I am on Dutty 3.3 XT ROM.

I'm usingthe stock ROM, PhonEx 1.4 and what you're describing works OK for me. Trying my home landline from TF3D/ People dials home and goes straight into the PhonEx dialling screen. I know that this is no consolation to you at the moment but I would try a complete uninstall and reinstall. HTH.
micken thanks for the reply. I just did an uninstall, reset, reinstall reset... still the same problem... maybe its the rom version i use? i never tried it with the stock rom i had.

One thing.. when you disable phonex, do you get the standard wm dialer working in all its glory? For me the dialer comes back but i cant see the call list in the dialer.. its all blank, though i can dial and make calls and even scroll down the blank list!

I have a problem with the phone canvas slider (not tachi phone canvas) with a WM6.5 (my own rom cooked)
When an incoming call happen, an incall popup appears few seconds and after the slider appears. I want to disable this pop up but how ?
I have a second problem : When lockscreen is activated, new sms are not notified (by a ring or vibrate) until the screen is turning on. And when an incoming call happen, it waste some seconds before the phone is ringing, how to short this delay ?

as far as i know HTC phone canvas doesn't work with WM6.5 for now because of that popup/lock screen issue. Best option for now is use the default dialer with a nice skin

OR just don't lock your phone and use standby instead that way you should be able to use the HTC phone canvas + Slide to unlock
as for text messaging and notifications i have same issue where messages and notifications don't make any noise/vibrate until screen is turned on (usually phone is in standby and locked state)

For lockscreen, I removed the animation (the slide to unlock) with the cpr files. Now, it's like on WM6.1 with the WinMo locker but it works well with calls or sms.
For the dialer, I finded how to fix the issue when we scroll contacts in the dialer but this popup stay there.
I tried the tachi phone canvas but this popup appears just one time, quickly.
try this cab..i got it from ppc geeks..so no thanks to me just passing it along. Its seeming to work for most people though. I had the problem with a custom dialer, and the original WM incoming call notification bubble pops up. Worked for me...
