lost my battery cover for 8125. Where I can get another?

I pulled my phone out of my case yesterday and it felt kinda weird to me. Took a look at the back and the battery cover was missing. Turns out I lost it at a bar the night before. A friend saw it on the ground there, but didn't realize what it was until I was asking if anyone saw it the next day.
I called the bar. They said no one turned it in and odds are it got swept up and tossed.
I called the store I bought it from. They said they can't order that piece.
I called Cingular. They say its an accessory, so its not under warranty and they dont sell them anyway.
I tried calling HTC Texas earlier, but no one answered.
Right now I have electrical tape holding the battery on. Please, please, please somebode help me.

The only thing I can think of is if you can get one from those dummy units for sale on ebay?

I think the dummy phones are all one piece. If not, I may just have to head into a cingular store and end up with the cover in my pocket somehow.

Thanks Xenos. My battery cover is on its last prong so as soon as I saw there was a place to call to order this part, I was on it. Once again, thanks.

would they sell to europe?
Due to my dual sim adapter my cover has a bulge now. Id like to try to modify it, but not until i have a spare cover (just in case!)

Just spoke with the people and they said they would.

I contacted HTC Europe (via www.htceurope.com contact form).
They sell the cover as well: GBP 10 incl shipping/handling to The Netherlands. You can pay by creditcard.
Just ordered one, waiting for payment details.

It was replaced 2 months ago by HTC so its near perfect. I unlocked it for use on T-Mobile, put WM6 from HTC and used it. 2 weeks ago I started to get the No GSM error. Sometimes it works sometimes it loses signal. I tried to do a few things (radio roms) but became impatient and bought a wing. So I have an extra hermes with HTC WM6 with battery available if someone is interested... Make an offer or trade for?

Magnetic stylus + ballpoint combo

Hmm.. looks like the thread about stylus/ballpoint that I posted a couple of days ago got deleted/rollbacked along with the server shuffle, so I'll post it again - basically I'm looking for a magnetic stylus that has ballpoint/pen. Someone posted a link earlier but there was some mix up as to whether its a ballpoint/stylus or simply a regular one.
I looked around the net and found some made by Styra or Songtak, but not whether those are magnetic. If they are not, wouldn't they fall off the phone? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've been waiting for these to come on eBay, and yes, it's there now... you can get these for $5 max.... but they don't ship to Canada and i only need 1... can anyone buy these the package of 3 and share it with me?

I bought one of these when i ordered my video cable. Ive had it for months and i love it. I keep it in my shirt pocket at work so i can easily mess with my phone or write.

Its not magnetic though. I also had to gorilla glue the middle from pulling apart because it didnt stay together that well. but i love this pen now.

hey man, Thanks for the offer. I'll take it if you're getting them from eBay. the ideal price would be $3/each including shipping (that's the price I got for the stylus of my tilt)
But you have to be careful, the stylus of a Fuze is slightly different from a Touch Pro

I go one from ebay, the listing said 3X so I assumed there would be three of the stylus/pen units but there was only one! For $10 it is one expensive stylus!

maybe is 1 package of 3 stylus
that's what I got for the Tilt... but it's better if you check with the seller.

Buy 3 get 1 ... Is it a magnetic one by the way? I've been asking around, and discovered that most of them aren't. Wouldn't it fall off easily without the magnets?

i haven't got the chance, because i used my girlfriend's ebay account to order (she's from USA), and i dont have her password. =(

I complained after the package arrived and they sent me 2 more! AAA+++ for this seller, don't see that level of service on ebay much these days

Here is what I wrote:

They sent me a tracking number the next day along with a friendly email to let me know they were taking care of it!

I bought them and they are not magnetic and they fall right out of the Fuze.

anyone know where to get the stylus that comes with the Touch Pro? I lost mine none of them I have found seem to look like the OEM. I'm sure they work but I would like the OEM to replace it with.

my digitizer is dead so I need to replace it. Found one from Ebay, but for the P3450. just wondering if it is the same or will it work ???

Your P3050 from Telus is the Vogue(CDMA) while the P3450 is known as the ELF(GSM)
Where the digitizer may be concerned they may be the same, but the phones are completely different while a search on EBay for "P3050 digitizer" came up with 12 hits for the item your seeking
basically, if you have to ask "do you think it will work?" you probably are better off not trying and getting the hardware that fits rather than spending cash on something that may or may not work unable to get a refund and having to spend more to get the right item to start with...
Im assuming your asking this as you already attempted to go to the Telus location near you and dealing with them and or your insurance ( you DO have insurance on delicate electronic equipment that has a high degree of gravimetric interface issues (aka gets dropped and broke easy) LOL

That's a very good price. Jump on it if you need it. When I was looking for them a couple of months ago I couldn't find one for less than $50. Of course, that price included a case that I didn't need...

Ironically, I JUST bought that same digitizer from that same ebay seller this week, and installed it last night. I have an HTC Touch from Sprint, but this new digitizer worked perfectly. Right fit, easy to connect. Took 4 days to get the item from the time I bought it. Couldn't recommend them more.

Cracked LCD - Repair Help

I'm pretty sure I cracked my LCD but before I go on a man hunt I figured I'd check here first.
I tripped and rolled on my phone yesterday causing this to happen, when I turn on my Nexus you get a few colors but mostly the screen is black. The top glass is not broken.
I called HTC (my phone is still under warranty) and they said it'd be 155 bones to get it fixed.
Any idea where I can buy the LCD to fix this myself for cheaper?
I searched but couldn't find anything really.

I have a broken one too, fell 2 floors down from stairs onto marble floor, though only amoled broke and i bought a new one for $100 cuz it was the only one who shipped to my country

Yep sounds like your LCD is broken. It's an easy enough fix if you wish to do it yourself, you should be able to get one on eBay for relatively cheap. I've actually got one spare that works perfectly if you want it. I'm based in the UK so it may be cheaper to get one on eBay if you're not around the same area.

I tried calling HTC as my phone is still under warranty for another month. They said it was a known issue and would most likely be fixed for free. So I decided to try that route. I'll keep ya'll posted.

It surprised me to, haha!
Supposedly they've had issues with people using their nexus and the LCD just breaking underneath the glass and that's what the rep said they would put in the ticket even though I had told them the real story.

Good stuff, sounds like you got a pretty decent rep to handle yours

I just had this same repair done by HTC. On the first information-gathering call to HTC, the rep told me I'd be without my phone for 2-3 weeks. So then I considered trying to repair it myself using an AMOLED screen from ebay, but saw they ship from China and didn't feel like waiting for that either.
In the end, HTC pointed out that they could ship me a replacement phone before I sent mine in. I received a working phone two days later, shipped mine and then approved the "repair" via a support website. Obviously, they then repair the damaged phone and dump it into the repair pool.
It cost $115 and I was very happy with the process.
Hope all goes well with the free repair!

So, I called in today to check the status. My nexus is on it's way back repaired and all...FREE OF CHARGE.
