Hello everybody. I have been checking out the forums for a while until I decided to join in. I recently got a Tmobile wing as a "gift" and after checking the forums I decided to flash a new and better rom. I did it and everything went fine but now Im looking at some other more interesting roms but I cant remember which rom is the one that I have on right now. As far as I remember and for what the startup screen tell me, I have the Touch-It rom or something like that. anyways, my question is how can I check what rom version or kind do I have...

Hey thanks for the reply. I did that but for some reason all the tabs in the device information are empty. Nothing, nada.. The version, Hardware, Identity and the Call Duration tabs are all empty.. HELP!!
I'm not sure y that happened, but I'll try to remember how the stock rom is setup and get bac 2 u.
I just noticed that if I go to the "About" section in the settings of my wing, it shows some info but comparing that to the "Device Information" icon, still nothing.

i used to find Radio Roms... so is it compatible with my jamin or not. does it have any advantages!!!

Radio ROM - Radio firmware
Contains the all of the drivers for radio equipment (WiFi, Phone, Bluetooth...ROM - Main OS
Contains Windows.
Both are device specific. Do not flash something not intended for your device!

I recommend you try some
My favourites at the moment would be:
Cloudyfas Build 19213 ROM
Gullums Throttle IV
Cloudyfas Build 19701 Full edition
Mr. l3v5y i tried Cloudyfas Build 19213 ROM as you advised. It was really amazing in the beginning. Suddenly, 2 days later the mobile's signal decreased to be zero & a message showed up says "the phone is off. Turn it on and try again" asking me to enter such as code. After trying many codes i tried to press CANCEL. The message disappeared but the signal didn't get back.
However, I couldn't reach to Phone from settings cause it force me to enter the code.
I downloaded to ROM one more time but no benefit.
What's the problem with it?

Try to use a different Radio ROM (see the wiki )
Hiya guys,
Have been reading up about flashing my touch HD for the last week now, and am pretty ready to flash my Orange HTC. I will most likely go down the USPL method.. but my question is trying to find a 1.19.61.1 WWE Orange original Rom in case I need to go back?
In the wiki it has a rar file for it, but it does not seem to llok official or tested? Does anyone know how I can either back mine up? and possibly post it here? or is anyone in the process of getting a RUU file for Orange 1.19 soon?

that file on the wiki is the signed nbh file
it has to be used with the custumRUU thing
ive not tested so i cant tell you for sure
This would be useful for me as well as thinking about flashing mine
I'd find it useful too, although I've always flashed new ROMs even if I didn't have a way back to a stock ROM
did a search again today and it seems like people did try the one in the wiki.. so am gonna try flashing today!

If you use the one in the wiki you will be fine. I've tried and tested this.
flashed to dutty v2 for now, thought I would wait til the bugs are ironed out for the latest one.. But anyone got all the settings for Orange? I can not get onto Orangeworld anymore as it does not think I have an Orange phone.. have searched and found a few cabs but they did not seem to work.. if anyone has the internet connection settings that would be great..

Have you tried Rabdo's Orangeworld fix ????? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316763
Same problem here, flashed from orange 1.19 to Davideuk V-2 Topaz and am now denied access to orangeworld. Tried the 1.5 settings and fix from Rabdo linked to above but made no difference. In HD Tweak there is a section to select stock HD id, Orange HD id or another (I forget which). This didn't work either
ended up calling them up and getting all the settings. told them to addd touchHD settings to the web though so hopefully they will do this. If i get a mo, will write settings down here.. thanks for finding the rabdo cab, will try it next time I flash!

I acquired the 'leaked 2.1 update' and flashed it to my Streak.
It goes through one status bar, resets, goes to a nice graphic of an unpacked box and another status bar, resets...and reboots into a fresh stock original ROM.
I'm not fussed that i've lost data & apps as the phone is taking a back burner to my HD2 - what does annoy me is that I was REALLY looking forward to playing with the 2.1 OS.
Any ideas why this is happening? I don't need to root the thing first do I? It doesn't suggest this is the case on the modaco thread, just to put the .spk file onto the SD card etc etc etc.

Hi there r u sure it's not the 2.1?
The 2.1 still has the o2 bubble screen on it, the way to tell is when the home screen loads if u have the lock slider on the bottom right and the sound slider on the top right then u have 2.1
2.1 makes the streak much better-faster n fun to play with. Another way to tell would be to hit the middle button on right n hold, get up the wall papers n there will be a sub folder for live wallpapers (really cool) if u have that then u have 2.1
Or just goto about n it will tell u ur firmware version.
If u don't sound like u have an incorrect rom. But u must try the streak with 2.1 its amazing.
As for ur apps all u have to do is log back into app store, hit downloads n ur apps will be there(ok u have to re-install them)

It turns out although the update I was downloading was 'suggested' to be the 2.1 update - the numbers in the filename are different from the one that I have now found and successfully applied.
At a guess, this may have actually been the stock O2 ROM for those people who required to change to stock O2 first and then move to 2.1, but that's a pretty big guess.
Anyway, I can happily report i'm now running 2.1 and the first thing i'm going to do is apply the VR Tunnel live wallpaper.

Whilst searching for the reason why my upgrade wouldn't work I stumbled across the actual file.
I'd suggest you do a Google search for "Dell Streak 2.1 O2" and have a look through the results. You'll likely end up having to get the file from MediaFire or some other file host.
As long as you've got an O2 Streak and you find the correct upgrade .spk (the one I downloaded from the original forum thread was the one that kept putting me back on 1.6) it's really easy to do.

I'm pretty new with this Android device,
My friend sent me an Application that making the battery indicator shows percentage.
But the icon is added as extra and not replacing the original.
When I asked him how his Galaxy S's got the percentage indicator replacing the original he said something that I need to do it from boot something and its a little complicate.
Any way, I searched a little and found out this guide:

So I saw there are 4 ways to do it.
I tried the second one through the Astro, but couldn't find any "System" folder any where.
Started searching on the SD card, then went to "asec"? .. and also found nothing.
So I went to the first option and as the first level says: Download the ROM you are using.
So my phone's software is not original (bought from a advance programmer dude)
And I don't know exactly what ROM I got, so how I check that out?
On Settings > About phone > Software info:
It says:
Kernal: 2.6.35.13 LeeDrOiD GB V3.0.3
Build #: 2.36.405.8
Software #: LeeDrOiD_HD_GB_3.0.3
Thats the main important I think.

you bought LeeDorid ROM? its free in the Development Section, go back to him and take back your money!!!!
But anyway, just go to the KITCHEN WEBSITE, click on 'File Upload' and either choose your ROM (if its in the kitchens list) or upload the ones it tells you to upload).
The just add the MODs you want, and flash it!

Haha, no I meant I bought the mobile from an advanced programmer and of course he had it on before I bought it (secondary hand mobile)

the ROM works great and is really fast, but the problem is, that i cannot call or send SMS (or recieve) for some reason...
I have installed and changed many roms on my last phone the S2 I9100, but never encountered such a problem.
I don't know what to do and need help

First of all check if your IMei number is there or not by dialing *#06# if it shows random numbers like 01010 or blank then i guess you efs folder is screwed
If not then just go ahead and try flashing the rom again or try a new radio

U can also try putting phone in air plane mode for 10 sec and off see it u get signal
