will this version work on qvga (240x240)? i remember the last version wasn't soo......? lol
missing link
The program looks good and it feels good. Maybe I'll make a mistake but (MDA TOUCH, WM6) The phone button responds with a error (File not found \windows\vtkey.exe). Same error when trying to use the battery button, \windows\power.exe.
Is there a solution ?
Now all we need is an iphone like photo viewer, what you can navigate with your fingertips..
Any idea?

Yes its different for most devices/Os's so go into the \windows folder and find out which files do what and simply change the config1.txt file

NICE APP
Grumps,
VERY NICE APP. I am using it and it is great. Works well with S2U2 version too. My input for cometics only:
a. Can we put the operator name closer to the signal bar? This will allow room for other indicators such as Wifi and BT.
b. Can we have BT and Wifi indicator on the top bar? These two will make the SW going from COOL to WHOA!!!!!
Thanks and cant wait for your next release.

I can the only problem is what do we do if the operator name is too long mine is HSDPA Vodacom SA and I made it so its just fits??
If i make it smaller it might say HSDPA Vodaco or something and ill hear more people crying? Any suggestions
And yes only QVGA, I dont have a VGA device to develop with sorry
This is a great app except...
There's no animation when you launch something. Or highlight. So sometimes you press again while waiting for something to start up.
Can we please get some sort of feedback when it's accepted the fact you pressed a button? Not sure how this works on the fruit based phone but I'm sure there should be some feedback.
Thanks.
ok just want to say great app.
here are some suggestion for you on the next version.
add scrolling to the app so if you want to add more icons on one page you can.
let it pick up default icons from the programs so you don't have to waste anytime on picking an icon for it. (but you can if you want too.)
scroll with finger to go right or left to go to the next page.
i have some other ideas and i would like to share it with you. if you are interested please P.m.
thanks,
the changelog says it has animations now. I just can't see any. What is meant by "animation added"?
Great work anyways.
BTW: Being able to scroll only one of the horizontal lines from left to right would be great, for, let's say, less important apps. So you have 3 rows of static buttons and just one row that can be scrolled by finger gestures... Saw that on iPhone, looked amazing...
I Concur
IMO, it would be great to have a scrolling launch page. Either horizontal or vertical. Also, annimation and vibrate with icon color change to reflect program choice.
Does the calendar icon keep up with the actual date??
Thanks,
CG
Thanks for such a GREAT app - assigned a button to it and it works like a charm. I do have one question \ request: is it possible to move the title bar elements up a bit? I use an app to hide the Windows Start bar and the softkeys (it is one of Vijay's tools) and your app then acts as my home page for most running applications (there are a few exceptions but overall it works great). The only issue is that the elements on your app (clock, battery, signal indicator, etc.) are a little low (2 pixels or so) so things look a little "off". I was hoping it was or could be a user changable setting.
Please don't take this as a complaint! Your app, combined with S2U2 provide an excellent UI experience. Thanks again for such excellent work.

Good idea to assign it to a button, I was trying to figure out how to integrate it better as a complete solution. Only problem is that on the Touch there is only really one button I can use and I was using it for the Full Screen Keyboard and to hold it down to get voice dial. I'm sure I'll work something out though.
I saw the link in the first post talking about how to get the .lnk files right and I assume that means for the Phone/Calc/etc which do not have .exes that I can easily find. I'll do some research to get that working.
Thanks for a great app!
Thanks for the info

Grumps,
Thanks for the info. I can see the name is an issue. If it is moved left align one space right after the signal strength then it will be good even with the longer operator name. If it is done that way, then if the BT and WiFi indicators are needed, that is when they are turned on, then they can be arranged to the left of the clock. These will cover the last portion of the long operator name but I think it will be acceptable because many things operate in the same manner due to the fact that there is not enough space for everything.
Thanks again for this VERY NICE APP. IT ROCKS!
I would just like to start this thread to post some idea's I have that I think need to be included in a future release of the Settings app for S2U2.
1. Ability to choose any wallpaper on the device. (JPG/GIF) Not be just stuck to having to copy/paste into the GFX directory, as the filename of wallpaper.gif or wallpaper.jpg.
-FIXED: Use Slide2View posted here to change the wallpaper easily enough. I've known about the registry edit, but wanted a more streamlined solution. Guess this is it!
2. Have theme type files. Kinda like the tsk files for the today screen.
Few more I'll post later as I think of them.... Just post more ideas!!
theme
How bout if you can to themes like pocketcm does it and you can change themes like pocketcm.
lennysh ur suggestion works since forever, you have to edit the path in the resgistry. i dont remember where exactly, that way u can run the wallpapers from SD..

Hey lennysh, you should check out S2V (Slide2View) also by A_C. This is a cool picture viewer and one of the options is to make the currently viewed picture the wallpaper for S2U2!
I created a folder under My Pictures called Wallpapers. I put all my jpg and gifs (even animated gifs) in that folder. I can then browse those pics with S2V, and select one to be my wallpaper for S2U2. Very cool!
Hope that helps.
I think S2V should eventually be built into the S2U2 settings program.
An option I would like to see is password protected unlocking so that after you slide a dialpad shows up and you have to enter the password to unlock the phone.

there is an exclusion feature but it's accessed via a registry edit. go HKCU/software/A_C and there is a bunch of reg keys that start with "Exclusion1, Exclusion2, ....
Just add the name of the EXE that you want to exclude.
It would be nice if this was added to s2u2 settings via the gui but for now it works.
icon on screensaver?
First, Awesome app.
Now, when I launch S2U2 it works fantastic, but, there is a little icon that resembles a text document with a check on it and a number seven in a red circle just below it??? this is located just above the right corner of the unlock slide. Any thoughts?
just turn off task count in s2u2 settings
S2U2 and it's counter part S2V are both fabulous apps as far as single apps go. Yes S2U2 requires a regedit to use the directory of your choice unless you also install S2V..which begs the question...why?? I think they are both great apps but I am not sure I see the point of two separate apps when you need one to do something specific like choose the directory to use for pics.
So..what I would like to see is a merge of the two or make them two separate programs entirely. On that note, it would be nice to see a few of these great developers merge several of their apps into one nice compilation. There are obviously several "popular" apps that all perform entirely different functions. A compilation of these "popular" apps would make for a rather nice experience. And when I say compilation, I don't mean a .cab that includes these apps together, I mean one united program with all the functions streamlined and working together. Something like a mix of S2U2, Pictureflow, PocketCM and what ever all bundled seamlessly into ...say...a PointUI app or something along those lines.
guap,

it's somewhere in the s2u2 settings, set it to "off". otherwise, you may try to mark your "unread messages" in your inbox to "read messages", so the task count won't appear.. hope this helps.
thanks
I want S2U2 to be PointUI-ized.
It would be great if S2U2 could have an owner info on the start screen. Maybe an icon (similar to the weather icons) or as a small text below the slider.
Awesome apps, but the only problem faced by me in my iMate JAQ is changing the orientation of the setting screen. As directed I have changed to path clock to clockH, but it still doesn't work. Any help there?????????????
Slide2View is nice. I have both S2U2 0.98 and Slide2View in the same CAB file, with the additional clocks included. If anybody would like a copy, just let me know. I will also try and include some more stuff if I find some. It is set to use the HTC theme in S2U2.
Got it! Thanks for the info....I kinda hate to admit it but I did not know that the options was a scrollable page. After that I found it no problem. What a great app!!!
If not too much
s2u2 is a very great application.
if not too much..can he include a preview button in the next s2u2 setting? ok, maybe i'm too lazy too save and exit the setting before i can see the outcome of it. but it could be a nice add on in the next release.
thanks to A_C!
Hello Friends
One more time sorry for my english
My pourpose is the next one: When you close S2U2, it appears a window with message " S2U2 are closed", and a ok button to close it.
It's posible that the window disapear automatically after few seconds?.
Thanks.
The ability to either key in a simple pin or a strong alphanumeric password when you slide to unlock.
Invoking the WM6 one is messy/untidy.
Also create a Today plugin for S2U2 so you can invoke the lock directly off the Today screen.

"Don`t" Forget the HTC Cube, but I made this with "UltimateLaunch". It rotates smooth every kind of screen, icon or pluginin in a cube.
Looks nice. Can we try it? Any demo?
Can you put photo speed dials like htc cube?

Looks amazing, can it have multiple plugins per cube, and if so when/where can we get it.
Ultimate Iphone Cube
I made it with the new "ultimatetaunch" from germany, this is the first launcher with touchflow.

it can do speedial, an you can add multiple plugins in each tab(Sides of the cube). The cube can have hundreds of sides. It IS the ULTIMATE Launch.
I made this special iphone-version for everyone and you can upload all icons and more here: http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showpost.php?p=1029815&postcount=459
There ist a full working demo-version of ultimatelaunch and you can buy it for 10 Euro:http://pocketland.de/39534/UltimateLaunch.html?SID=d1c64539375a8f367ebbea8474956206
UltimateLaunch is an app that can be downloaded. You may register but may also trial it for free, with no time limit nor feature limit. Merely a "not registered" writing here and there.
It's extremely configuration and you can have multiple plugins per cube as well as variable numbers of sides for the cube.
It is pretty fast and smooth no doubt, and is very close to replacing HTC Cube.
How do you do photo speed dial?

Ok I see, this is the UltimateLauncher program, sorry I misunderstood. Do you or anyone else have any idea if it is possible to have more than one Plugin per cube, right now I have SPB Weather but it only takes up a small portion and I would like to add more smaller plugins to fill that cube instead of making more cubes for small plugins (1-2 lines)???

This is indeed a great plugin. It made me disable my cube, task bar and softkey bar.

Photo Dialer is not problem at all. A few layers and gradients in gimp and you can have a few faces on glassy buttons as a speed dialer.
Cheers,
nc.
The Ultimate Launch is a blessing for the screensize-impared treos. Ahh... finially the scrollbar is gone. Instead of just having it scroll down, I just made the bottom half of the screen the ultimatelaunch and rotate it out. Looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g
Wow nc that's some beautiful interface.
Thanks for sharing!
Still very interested in how to make the photo dialer though, since I'm currently using SPB pocket plus for it, and that's ugly...

Photo dialling is a little tricky but there are a few ways to achieve it.
You need to change the format of your photos to .ico with a good photoshop tool - GIMP is a good freeware tool to achieve this (make sure you reduce the size of the photo to icon size say 60x60).
Then you need to link a program to do the ringing. Again there are a few options around:
1) cprog.exe -url tel: 12345678910 (this takes you to an editably box where you can change the number before dialling)
2) vijay555's dialler (which will automatically dial the conacts number)
3) gotocontact (which will take you to the default contacts page and give you options to ring mobile/home/business or send a text message).
It is a little tricky, but luckily I don't change my friends too often!
I have to agree that this is great software. I have stopped using cube launchers - as this is always running, is totally customisable and low on memory.
Thanks Lynehammike for the clarifications!
I don't change my friends often either so I'll give your options a go.
Thanks so much since I've been trying for quite awhile to figure out how to do this!
Btw, what's "gotocontact"?
Bloody hell, thanks mate! I kept wondering what the combine was for and found it strange that I could not add more than one plugin.

What is it? I tried this forum, google. ...Cannot find it anywhere?
How can I disable the bottom bar with available tabs?
Hi all. I am new on this great forum.
There are some stylus-free application but I would like that there is a complete stylus-free application for everything on a windowsmobile (not only the contacts or the music player) so can we make a project to use our WM without stylus?
PS: I know there are pointui, and other ui but they are only UI so I want (if possible) a complete stylus-free application
We already have some applications:
pointUI for the UI
Icontact or pockeetCM for the contacts
the music player from the touch or the manila player
and now what about the others applications?
Internet browsing: opera 9.5 from the manila
best virtual Keyboard stylus-free: ?
So, my wish is that we make a .cab with as much as possible finger-friendly application to have a better and faster control for all WM.
I hope you agree and we (the community) make a complete stylus-free application for all uses on WM.
EDIT: If you didn't understand what I mean, I would like that the TOUCH developper get together and create only one powerful application and not creat many more (I think there are more than 10 UI apps) even if they are great I think it will be better that you make one complete application.
brilliant idea
couldnt agree more bud
thanks!
I'm waiting on developpers
SO you know all the fingerfriendly apps, so what is this thread about ???
Are you waiting for a developer who makes 4 cabs to one ??
Are you to lazy to install 4 cabs or what ? Sorry man, this is junior bull****, install pointui, opera, pocketcm and thumbcal, this canĀ“t be to difficult also for noobs.
I've already installed them. They are great but for example I must use the stylus for the calendar, the start menu, the settings, the pictures/videos gallery...
And I want to never have to use the stylus.
Thumbcal is a great Calendar wich is made for "touchfeeling"
so you can find her thumbCal ,a completly fingerfriendly calendar and with point ui, ultimatelaunch or thousands of other launchers here you dont need starmenue, settings or something like that, so again, what is this thread about ,
here is a list of some apps i use:
PointUI
thumbCal
PocketCm
s2u2, s2p, s2v
diamond keyboard
opera 9.5
SO PLEASE SEARCH ! If you really tried all this apps then i dont know why you need your stylus ? To make on GUI out of all this isnt usefull because every user whats something special and installing the applications YOU want is so easy. the easiest and most powerfull GUI ist pointui, then you use thumbcal., for media the s2-apps (or the HTC Apps) and for browsing opera 9.5 (or opera mini) and another keyboard thats it.
This is the collection I'm using on my tmobile wing right now:
0. Pointui 1.51a
http://www.pointui.com/Home.aspx
This is the most complete UI replacement for WM IMHO. Besides the Home Task Bar gives users a feel of consistency when launching apps, settings, etc. The new version is much more stable than previous versions, and almost bug free, almost. Check pointui forum for more details.
Be aware! Most of these have *opposite* vertical scrolling than pointui. However I think pointui scrolling is SUPERIOR because I can scroll much faster
1. S2U2 - for full screen caller ID (indispensable) and lock, so when unlock it goes to whatever it was before locking instead of Home
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381588
Pointui theme:
http://forums.pointui.com/viewtopic.php?p=4468#p4468
The analog clock is exactly the same - looks almost unreal, and also can be customized by pointtweaks as the default lock program
2. S2P - music player, exactly like what Iphone has (too close to iphone than what I like)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=37762
3. S2V - picture viewer
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358187
can be used with parameter such as "\storage card\my documents\my pictures" (without quotes) to open that directory on default, also use to assign pictures to contacts
The nice thing about the slide 2 series is their task bar has a similar look with pointui task bar, sweet!
4. ThumbCal
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373971
can be customized as the default calendar and task manager using pointtweaks:
http://forums.pointui.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1309&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
5. IContact 0.73
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395829
With theme support
Mac OSX theme or iphone theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398660
6. IPhone dialpad
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380466
Really iphony... very nice and big buttons and very responsive. Caution: last number redial doesn't work, smart dial works after hiding keypad. Hey who needs last number redial when the pointui call history is SOooo... nice.
7. Touchpal
http://www.cootek.com/download.aspx
You can always use the free version of it. Big buttons, and tons of extra functionality (copy, paste, internet suffix, symbols, etc). Best for fat fingers like what I have.
Caution: you may need SIP changer to make it default after soft reset:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271008
Not so finger friendly but still good enough with finger navigation:
1. Total commander
http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
The most powerful file manager for WM, period. Using large icons it can be quite finger friendly, and with the combination of a touch-flo rom, no need for stylus. Also use as registry editor.
2. Opera Mini
http://www.operamini.com/
If you don't know what opera mini is then you're missing the good stuff. Works best with Esmertec Jbed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394227
Not so finger friendly at first glance but totally cool with pure finger operation.
Finger unfriendly software but still worth mentioning:
1. TCPMP

A project stopped a long time ago (because they went commercial, kinda like where pointui is leading). Good player for youtube and avi files when bundled with flashvideobundle
http://discussion.treocentral.com/showpost.php?p=1319431
However because d-pad works well during playback (up/down for volume, left/right for rewind/fast forward) therefore still handleable
2. QuickMenu
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340358
Not finger friendly at all; but very powerful. Mainly use d-pad to operate but because it also has task manger function and assign OK to close programs, quite useful from day-to-day
I have also created folders in my windows\start menu so now programs of similar groups (office, internet, etc) gets put in their respective folder. This greatly reduced the clutter when trying to launch programs from either pointui or quick menu.
Now the only time I draw out the stylus is when I need to scratch on the note - finger just can't do that, at least not yet
Speak to Schaps - he's currently looking for beta testers for a new Touch Menu UI he's been developing for the past 6 months...
Link here: Schaps new Touch UI
I don't think this is a good idea because there are tons of finger-friendly apps...
And you have only to chose the one fits better to your needs....
So you must try them to figure out which is the best for you.....
All these apps are great, but there is a big problem:
it is not always possible to use them all, because there are many features which are double implemented.
for example: pocketcm ist not just for contacts, also for sms, etc.
pointui has a gui for contacts too but not for sms, and so on...
it would be nice, if those developers will make a new project together and each of them will do what he can do best (pointui-team should make the gui, pocketcm-developer the contacts, etc.).

1. TCPMP

Too bad its not for herald or any other device.
Thank you for the apps. but I wanted that the developpers make one cab that complete changes the WM so all these apps in 1. Because If you activate the ui, you open the webbrowser, you sand a sms, .... you have space memory problems. For example: with my touch (p3450) if I use pointui home and then listen to music, the touch is very slow,..
So I would like that the developpers (I'll help them if I can and can be a beta-tester) make one app that COMPLETE changes the WM from the ui to the sms app, settings,...
Please, I hope you understand what I mean, thx.
What I'm getting from this is you want every single "touch" developer to get together and create what would essentially be one HUGE interface application, with everything built in? You're asking way too much here, just appreciate the fact that there are so many separate developers and applications for you to pick and choose from.
Edit:
Forgot to suggest waiting to buy a Touch Diamond or Touch Pro. That's my plan, haha.
^^ Yes you're a bit right... it's not necessary to use these apps but yes I want an everything built in application because when I install many touch apps, my PPC has some bugs and goes slowly...therefor I want a complete app
EDIT: haha I can't because I've bought another phone for 2 weeks^^ (n*kia N82)

Hi,
For all who are using S2U2 on diamond and are looking for original TFLO3D skin
i have made this skin from skratch after i have lost hope to find proper VGA diamond skin.
There are tons of QVGA skins and few VGA ,non of theme has the exact clock and fonts.
Installation: after you install S2U2
1- copy clock numbers to any clock folder under gfx folder and select that folder later in the settings
2- copy and replace lang.ini OR modify yours to make clock format = hh' : 'mm for 12h format and HH' : 'mm for 24h format
3- copy wallpaper.jpg to gfx folder
3- from settings select one of the mentioned above time formats.
4- i prefere to disable the top curtain option for better look.
Notes:
1- this skin has been tested on S2U2 1.22
2- still no landscape wallpaper (will update it later if you liked this skin)
3- 12h time format does NOT show "AM or PM" due to numbers calibration and spacing issue. (will work on it later)
4- anybody feel free to modify this skin and share it with us.
enjoy.
Ammar
Thank you! Been looking for this flip clock for S2U, just am not good at photoshop and such.
Will install when I get home.
Hopefully someone will come up with a transparent clock, or the one from the jewelery theme?
made some more diamondish buttons, too
edit: sry first time buttons.png did not work
How about the slider with just a diamond? Do you have something like that? I think a carat would look really nice behind a black wallpaper and no slide 2 unlock texting.
Slider
Here is a button you might like
U made something that i was going to do But i had no time to finish clock ;D But U made it Congratulations ! looks great You read in my mind. My skin was going to look the same.

How can you disable the date? I have the date apearing on the top of the clock, in fact covering part of the clock.

edit lang.ini file and delet one of the date formats that you don't use then go to S2U2 settings and choose the blank format that your edited.
originally you will have:
s_DefaultDateFormat1=dddd', 'd MMMM
s_DefaultDateFormat2=dddd', 'MMMM d
s_DefaultDateFormat3=d MMMM', 'dddd
so you can delete any of them and leave it blank.
example:
s_DefaultDateFormat1=
s_DefaultDateFormat2=dddd', 'MMMM d
s_DefaultDateFormat3=d MMMM', 'dddd
Or you can add new blank format
s_DefaultDateFormat4=
For the one interested in, I've made a mix of what I found around and here, so test it ; Fit perfectly with orgiginal TF3D.
Unzip and instal the gfx folder in the place of the one of the program. If you still have "topbar", delete it...
Only bug I guess is the text on the batterie when charging. If someone can help
So, here a screen not complete (unable to take the shot... lol) only for an Idea. It work landscape.

About my screen, 2 posts up, there is another issue and if someone can help
When the time is between 0 : 00 and 9 : 59, the time is not centred... so it's ugly.
I've tried to solve it by changing the value iin registry with a timeformat HH : mm. It's centred but the time appear this way 00 : 00. So, not like on the TF3D. Help
he Guys,
Thanks for all the effort you have spend to create the perfect skin.
I have downloaded some items and found that when my phone rings, and the caller id function is turned off, the phone is not locked at all.
Any comments on this issue?
