German CAB
Gentlemen and Gentleladies,
here is the German CAB:

When installing the CAB a strange error message popped up (a bubble without text, just offering a YES and a NO button). I pressed the YES-button (no risk, no fun), and the CAB installed without any further problems.
I tested all applications, and they work like a charm. No big changes, but obviously new office'07 templates (e.g. .docx) are being used as default. A good thing is that the programme icons have been changed and look much nicer now, a bad thing is that the progs are really eating RAM (I lost approx. 5 MB compared with the situation before install!). Too me, it looks as if this is mainly due to some big new .dll's that are being placed in the windows directory. I assume that for any other software company the huge memory consumption would be a reason to withdraw the progs, but with MS I am not so sure...

Does' anyone have the msi file with all language (I wan't italian)

What difference is this from the offic2007 cabs that are in some of the wizard roms?

Do you have a French version ?

Italian original SnapVUE ROM needed

First of all: yes, I used the friendly "Search" tool and found 17 results, none of them matching what I need, or at least it seemed me so. So, if anybody finds a thread offering downloads for original Italian ROM's, please excuse me
As most of the people here I spent some time thise summer playing with cooked ROM's etc. I lastly flashed an English ROM with GPS + Telenav and I am waiting to find a solution for keyboard and Telenav-login problems (see my post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416899&page=6 )
But as I use my Shift for work purposes, and as I didn't backed up my original italian ROM, I'm desperately seeking to restore it as it was out-of-the-box (I know, guys, that one should never play with business PC's, but...)

hi planagan you can use this rom is very very fast and this rom is clean but it has a lot of program, an example: phm registry, modaco nodata, gfinder, contactpm, cleam up temporaly, pocket scream shot... this rom has disable touch flo and thanks that it come to 69 mb ram and 131 of storage

My first HD2 - what should I install to have a good start

Hello people, tomorrow I will buy a HD2 .... after being in doubt with the N900, but the screen of the HD2 killed me ...
Not to get me to complain about bugs, what should I or not install on HD2.
tenho visto aqui tanto software para corrigir bugs, que não sei o que instalar.
Give me only the names and latest versions of all software which I install, I then researching how best to install ... and in any doubt, I ask here ....
just want to be happy with my HD2

It's trial and error and entirely subjective which tweaks we all prefer.
I installed on the tweaks page:
Numbers:
2, 4, 23, 24 (there is a cab lower down), 35, I also removed the 'HTC Quietly Brilliant' splashscreen from Opera (HKLM/software/opera/info/showsplashscreen - set to zero)
I also installed Skyfire for video full-on flash

...but first you will need to intall a registry editor. I went for Resco Explorer and then you install the registry editor add-in.
As for ROMs, I haven't swapped yet. I am waiting for a ROM to be released which addresses the problems I am having, such as call volume and (still) the SMS issue.

Need help flashing back to stock rom

Hi everybody,
I tried a custom rom but i'm not happy about it. Now i want to flash back to the stock acer rom but now I get the error message SKU_incompatible.
I use an English custom rom and want to flash back to Dutch stock rom.
What to do ??
EDIT: Never mind, already found the solution, topic can be deleted

Kan you please tell me how you did? i have the same problem with mine

search for a cab called oslangnl.cab or something that looks like it, install it and you can flash back to the DUTCH stock rom, if your stock rom has a different language this doesn't help you..

i can help
you can use toolsbyanper.exe to dump the original rom. you have to download barin's kitchen and get the tool from it because anper's site seem to be down.
you can search this forum but if you're lazy, just pm me your email and ill mail you the stuff. you only need the 3.x hacked RUU and also download your official rom (your language) from acer.
the rest i'll email to you.

Flash back to Original Rom
This is very simple !
Acer will verify that the system language mach the language of the updating ROM... So, if you want to update an NL Rom to an existing EN system, it will refuse to execute it...
The trick is to modify one registry in order to make ACER think that you've installed your system in the disered language (here Dutch or NL)
So grab a Registry editor and modify HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\ACER\SystemInfo\Software\Language from "EN" to "NL" ... then flash to stock ROM...
I can also provide you a CAB if desired ...
Worked great with me when I did the same from EN to FR ...
