a question about battery status - P3600 General

I've searched but didn't find any topic on this specific matter.
It seems the stock battery indicator only displays the status in whole percentage. (60%, 50%, 40%, etc) Is there another alternative to make to display like 55%, 52%, etc?

This topic has discussed many times!

battery status

Are there any hacks/applications out there that will display the battery level percentage in the native battery display in the tor right of the android screen on the status bar?
I've seen battery apps that display a battery indicatior as a widget, or as an additional item on the status bar.
It just seems redundant to show the same info in multiple places...
Any ideas?
No, it's been asked before.
I think some ROMs and themes used to have it. The problem with it was that it only has like 4 or 5 states, so it would be very inaccurate. For example, the real percentage could be 41%, but it would still you show 60% because the range is 40-60% (not sure if I said it clearly).

battery issue?

more often than not, if i leave my phone on the charger, and then use it...it says its fully charged in the status bar, but on the lock screen it says charging 99%...
anyone know why this would happen or has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?
In one of the larger battery-threads (is it in 'accessories' perhaps?) someone mentioned that this is to prolong the life of the Li-Ion battery. Basically the charging circuit cuts the charging when it reaches 100%, and waits until battery charge is at 98% before it starts again.
There should be a few threads, or at least threads with comments detailing this in a bit more convincing manner than what i have
hmm ive been looking, cant seem to find it...
This thread does not exactly answer your question, but you should be able to learn a bit from it:

Note some of the links inside provide some information on how Li-Ion works.

This is the thread I was referring to, you might find something interesting there.
Also note that the battery voltage drops very quickly at the very full end and then flattens. Depending on the approximation HTC/Android does when calculating the percents left that might also contribute to what you're seeing. You can see the N1 battery profile here:

Remove anything after .org/ to see the profiles for other batteries.

alright so hopefully nothing is wrong with my battery, cause it does it for the OEM one and the Seidio 3200 which i just got...
No, I wouldn't suspect that unless you're also experiencing other unexplained behaviour. But it could be the calibration, which the address to greater detail in the first thread I linked to. They have a few suggestions there on how to reset the calibration so that it stays at 100% for longer.
Note that it doesn't change the total amount of battery time at your disposal, but it might more accurately tell you how much you have left.

Is this thing even possible? (battery percentage display)

So I have this terrible drops from X -> 50% and X-> 20% (yes, I am aware of "battery drops explained" topic) and I was thinking if I could get around this false battery percentage display like this:
Let's say I will charge battery to 100%, turn on airplane mode, turn off every data/wifi etc. and just leave it for day or two until it is almost decharged. Then I will take a screenshot of battery usage graph and I make a straight diagonal line through it and see how I would like the percentage to be displayed instead of the real one.
I am not sure if I explained it good enough, but here's the example screenshot for you:

If we could someone force the phone (through apk or some kind of script) to show us te percentage like in the screen above we could AT LEAST have some better battery charge representation and some better knowledge about how much charge is really left. Even with 10% steps.
So to sum up:
1) Realize how your battery is behaving, dropping etc., take your version of battery graph
2) Create 'checkpoints' like in screenshot above and tell some application or script to show you the percentage like described in the screenshot as well
3) We can't get rid of drops on old batteries, so maybe at least we could earn some better % representation
PS.
I found a script that could be useful in my idea:

Any way to remove battery % readout from the AoD

Seeing battery percentages drives me crazy. Is there anyway to remove the battery information or better yet just the % readout?
thanks
I looked everywhere, can't find anything to disable it. In the past hiding the status bar battery percentage hides the AOD one as well, but not this time...
i dont know if this is what your talking about, but try settings, display status bar, then un do the show battery percentage
Bump! I hate seeing the battery percentage every time I glance at my phone.. It makes me obsess about battery life and really distracts me

Weird unexplained battery draining

First of all I have never posted any questions online before so excuse me if I'm missing some info that I should have posted please inform me of any missing info.
My note 3 SM-N9005 has this very weird problem.
The battery drains 1% every 2 minutes. with airplane mode but wifi on, screen brightness on the lowest level, not using any application.
(If I'm playing a game or watching videos it goes from 100% to 0% in about half an hour or less.)
This rate is after fresh install of custom rom. I've tried more than one rom, I've tried stock lollipop rom, more than one Cyanogenmod roms and lineage Oreo 8.1. They all had the same battery consumption.
Plus whenever I check the battery consuming applications in android settings, The sum of percentages consumed by everything isn't anywhere near the actual consumed, for example the sum of consumed battery by applications is 9% and the battery percentage is at 66%.
I've changed the battery three times so far and tried the battery on another phone and it seemed to work just fine in the other note 3.
I've tried changing the charger but still the same.
I just want to know what is causing this fast consumption even though I've changed everything.
I have the exact same problem
