Sorry if this isn't in the right place, but I would like to offer this phone to the people on this forum first, before I list it on eBay. If it's not in the right place, please move it.
It's a 8525 obviously, it has a few minor scratches on it, it has had an inviShield on it most of its life. I have a 2GB microSD card i'm selling with it. I also have a Bluetooth GPS module i'm looking to sell with it...(Holux GPSlim 236). It's CID and SIM unlocked, with WM6 installed.
Ideally, I'd like to get about $260 for the phone and $40-50 for the GPS and shipping will be free (as long as you are in the US). I will ship overseas but shipping will not be free. First person to PM me with an decent offer wins. I will ship the device out either the day I receive payment or the day after. Payment will be whatever you want, but paypal is preferred just because it's guaranteed funds.
Last day for any takers here. I'm going to list it on eBay tomorrow. Any reasonable offers will likely be taken.
Unit is sold, thanks to everyone who responded.
I let the deal at Compusa get the better of me and bought the last two. I've been reading this forum for months and have had the jones for an Advantage since release. I bought two, I'm keeping the one that was a display and showed some signs of use (it was in the box and I could not tell until I opened it) the other one (I need to sell, thought my business partner wanted it) is new in box. I did slide it out to make sure it would boot using my other battery. It is perfect. I would like to get what I paid $680, Plus shipping and paypal fees. It should be about $710 to $720 total to a US address confirmed Paypal address. Let me know if you are intersted or I'll put it on ebay end of next week. I would be willing to run the unlocker and load a different rom if you wanted. I could also load iGuidance Version 4 to the microdrive before I shipped it. I'm running AP Dual 3.0 and love it.
Yes?
What sort of warranty is there left from the retailer?
CUSA is not offering any warranty at all. They are selling out "all sales final" but htc covers with the manufacturer warranty.
I bought the Express Exchange TAP for $150 when I got my x7500. This is still valid as it is underwritten by an outside insurer. You might want to consider adding this if you still can (I think you have up to 2 weeks after the purchase date). Such coverage "should" help the resale value.
CUSA is not selling the tap plan any longer, they stopped when they started the clearance sale. I've got the AMEX protection if I need it.
I wonder what they would do 18 months from now if someone tries to exchange an x7501 under the TAP? I got store credit when my iPAQ hx4705 died but there's no store anymore...
Bought it

Great news if anyone is interested. I can deliver a Touch HD anywhere in continental US with shipping and insurance for $775.00. Paypal is the only payment method I would like to accept for protection of everyone. This is my way of contributing to this incredible website that has helped me so much over the last couple of years. I need 48 more people.
What's the ETA?
Latest update I have is last week of Nov. They are not getting to the UK till after the 20th.
Any chance of shipping to Australia? If so, will probably take 2.
I would prefer not to because I dont believe paypal verifies outside US. If you give me your address I can see about how much shipping would be.

As far as I knew they do. We have eBay Australia and PayPal is part of them now. I do all of my transactions through PayPal. Shipping would be to North Sydney, 2060, Australia. I now also have another friend thinking about getting one. So it could be 3 phones.
Also, no offence but how can you guarantee us that this is genuine?
Would you consider putting it up on Ebay? There's a rebate for buyers going on now, it's at 25% off today (it changes). You have to list it as Buy it Now and use Paypal. I assume you will add a few bucks to the price for listing fees etc.. but it would still cost us clost to $200 less, which would be a great deal, and you will get more people buying it.
Yeah I'd do eBay...
great!! on ebay then
let us know when you have posted on ebay.. even i will be interested..
Please make it a "buy it now" listing or "fixed price" listing, because the coupon is only applicable to those..
thanks.
i called Expansys and mobilecityonline and they have ebay accounts as well and are ready to put it on ebay.. will post more update when i call them tomorrow in the morning..
I'm also game for a Ebay with that discount! Count me in for "one".

Wow -- keep us updated on how to take advantage of this once it is up.
This phone will be PERFECT if they develop a radio for US 3G bands. Hopefully someone here will help with that.
Yeah guys I think I can do ebay but I did not want to since I dont have a solid delivery date yet. In fact no one in the US has yet. I also was really not trying to make much money on these, it was more to just get the devices to the users of this site.ou are more then welcome to contact me via phone or email if you have any questions. I normally do not do end user sales but thought I would try to save you guys some bucks since the markup on this device is pretty big. Let me look into ebay and see if it works out for me.

Dont hold your breath on 3G for us here in the US. Everything I have heard says it is a hardware issue not something that can be fixed with a radio rom or anything like that. But then again no one knows for sure right now. The p3600 was released without gps and then an update enabled the gps so it may be possible. We can keep our fingers crossed.
I live in NJ and I have decided to get this device whenever it is available. So please update on the situation in this post.
eBay or not, I'm still in.
Maybe edit the first post and keep a list of names as you get them and how many each person will be buying so we can see how far to go till we get enough buyers.
Put me down for one now, will confirm later whether I will take more than 1.

I live in Sydney too, and would join in this and make it four in Sydney. However, I will be visiting Singapore in early December, and might be able to get one there, I hope.
So when does the ebay discount code expire? OK let me see how we can do this ebay listing. Maybe a private auction only open to xda members. I need someone to help me keep track of how many people in the us and how many outside. Thanks for everyone willing to help me with the setup of ebay. Hopefully we can get the 50 that we need and then get start cooking and modding the newest toy from hTC.
I wouldn't hold your breath for a US 3G radio rom. If HTC doesn't release a US 3G version (which they said they won't), there simply won't be a US 3G radio rom -- and don't go around mixing roms from other devices!
As for the eBay discount, it's a Microsoft Live cashback promotion. It changes between 10%-30%, but there's no telling what it will be on any given day. A quick google will point you in the right direction.
Also, as fair warning, beware of eBay and Paypal's fees. Anything over US$500 and a decent chunk will get taken out.

Thanks, I will decide in November.
I'm taking shipping from US to Canada at my expense won't be a problem...
I have let my wife know I want this device...now that I have a hard dollar figure, let me throw down my suck-up over the weekend. Keep me in mind, and reach via PM if necessary. I am 85% sure we will be purchasing at least one unit (maybe two...wife and I both have the Raphael).
Thanks
Hi all!
I recently upgraded from a kaiser (tilt) to a Tilt 2 because I noticed ATT had it on special.
Oddly enough they would give it to a new customer for free but not one in good standing eligible for an upgrade.... So I called customer service and they waived the fee giving me the one day special they had.
I then came here and was thrilled to find the cab by Tom that enabled me to use my phone as a wifi router!
I live in the middle of NOWHERE and my only options were Satelite, dial up or tethering with that joke of a limit!
I wanted to add another line so that I would have 2 phones capable of being a wifi router.
Today Att has the pure on special for free to new customers and yet again I got it free rather then pay the 100$ they want to charge current customers.
Just thought I would post for those thinking of getting the pure.
thats great to share deals on htc products
i just checked though and the pure is $50 not free, i got mine from wirefly though because they waive the activation fee on the phones
I just ordered my HTC Pure on Saturday (Feb.6) and I paid 20$ for it . It'll hopefully get here tomorrow and I can start customizing it. Regarding that, any firsts that I should know about?
I'm completely new to HTC's and would REALLY appreciate if someone pointed me in the right direction as to where to start tweaking it to my own liking. I've been a Blackberry user for 2yrs and from what I've seen while checking out some of the threads here is that there's a series of steps you have to take in order to start messing around with your HTC. And I do not want to brick my phone at all! So any and all help would be appreciated Thanks in advance
Hello to all in the Vibrant community here. For anyone who didn't know this, T-Mobile is offering a Buy One get a Second Samsung Vibrant Free when signing a new 2 year contract, and after a $50 mail in rebate.
http://phandroid.com/2010/09/08/sam...-mobile-kids-are-free-family-plans-announced/
If anyone here is getting a Vibrant from T-Mobile, or knows of someone who is, I would be willing to shell out the cost of your $199 (I think) in exchange for the second handset.
Just trying to get a piece of this awesome phone. Anyone interested can PM me.
Woot 15 days and they let me swap the my touch for the vibrant. Thanks for letting us know about the buy one get one.
