Reverting to old version of T-Mobile stock ROM of Wing - Wing, P4350 General

Hi,
Recently i have upgrade by Wing to the new version of the wing rom from T-Mobile. But i found that thw ROM takes up more space and very less space is left and before the upgrade my battery life was 3days for standby but now it is only 1.5days after upgrade. Is there anyway i can go back to the old version of the T-Mobile Stock Rom.

if you find it somewhere. people have gone back but i think the radio stays the same. not sure.

here it is...

i-mate 1.1.9.3 much faster than T-mobile 1.6.7.1 ??

I have just switched roms ,out of curiosity rather than anything else from as stated in the title
Now , I let it install fully , installed all the software back on it , and it ABSOLUTELY FLIES !
What gives ? this rom is ancient evidently - so how come it is so much better than the T-mobile one
not that I'm complaining , mind
Interesting.. I had the tmobile ROM as well and upgraded to the Qtek 9100. I guess anything is better than the Tmobile ROM.
Where did you download the Imate ROM from?
from the FTP here !
seems pretty stable too , no freeze ups at all yet

O2 Rom

hi is there anyway that i can dump the o2 rom from one of my other company phones? i updated my o2 rom to wwe 1.48 5 days ago and since as a result have had the phone randomly freeze, as in just will not power on, i have to reset the phone then it works fine for maybe day to day and half, if i could get the o2 rom could put back and see how it goes as my other 2 engineers have had no probs with o2 1.43 rom
You could try the official HTC 1.43 ROM instead of the O2 version. At least then you wont have all the O2 stuff and disabled wifi router

True, but with the o2 rom, a few of the bugs people have mentioned in launch roms are not there. I.E. notification led is fine, no spelling mistakes and so on.
Mine is 1.43.206.4
Count me in too if someone can obtain an official O2 Rom
I don't think there is any way to dump a rom to use on another phone as the digital signature is lost

My ROM & Radio Versions.

Had my HD2 about 10 days now and its on o2. Just wanted to ask the more experienced members about my version numbers.
Here they are:
ROM Version: 1.43.206.4 (70315) WWE
Radio Version: 2.04.50.22_2
I was wondering how up to date they were and whether I would benefit from updating the ROM?
A Bit Of History: My phone prior to this was the Omnia i900. I tried to flash the ROM on that with the help and advice of some users from the MoDaCo forum. Basically I screwed up, and the phone had to be sent to a Samsung Repair Centre. I was without it for 2 whole weeks! I felt like topping myself!!
While I would be very hesitant to attempt to flash again, it is something I have to consider over the medium to long term just for the sake of keeping the phone up to date.
rom 1.43 is about as out of date as a 6 month phone can be. problem is that o2 still haven't released an update. (current official updates are 1.66 and/or 1.72 for some other countries/carriers.)
personally I've been using cooked roms based on version 2.10 and radio 2.08 for weeks....... light years ahead off the o2 stock rom.

Thx for the reply.
I'm still inside my 14 day return period. Would you recommend returning the phone? Would an unlocked phone be better rather than one locked to o2? If so, I'm more than willing to do this. Or is it possible to unlock this phone yourself?
I notice on the HTC support page there is a UK 1.48 ROM update. Would anyone recommend this?
Yeh if it worked, start to get the flashing itch myself, after 5 months of having it
o2 are how to say crap at releasing updates. If you can buy this unlocked, i know i wish i had...

Unlocked T-mobile HD2 problems

newbee to HD2's .....
I've recently got a t-mobile HD2 and got it unlocked. At the moment i'm using it with an O2 contract till november.
Have installed opera 10 (not installed as standard) but it still wants to use this silly WEB'N'WALK. How do i remove this ?
The only other thing thats getting on my wick is the T-MOBILE startup screen wish it was the original HTC one. How can i chnage this ?
Have tried to upgrade ROM from 1.43 to 1.48 but it wouldn't work. Got 10% but error couldn't complete came up.
can anyone help
cheers
chris
Install HardSPL on the device (check ROM forum) then pop the default splash screen on. Then put a non T-Mobile Rom on the device, take your pick from standard 1.66 or custom and u should be all sorted

3G/HSDPA not working

I've been using the phone for about half a year without 3G or HSDPA because I was out of coverage area
recently they launched 3G in my area and it could be picked up in my old TouchCruise but not on TouchDiamond2
I tried swapping the SIM Card but still got same results, it worked on the old phone but not on this one.
I was wondering if there is anything I could do to get the 3G to work as I want to make vdo calls
Thanks,
Chan.
I have had the same problem since beginning and have it resolved last moth.
Basically it should be radio firmware issue. I've tried flashing all ROM available in the Radio ROM thread, but didn't help. Lastly I reflashed my TD2 with the latest stock ROM for my area (Asia) downloaded directly from HTC website. To my supprise - although Radio version was same as my previous one (got from Radio only thread) - 3G started working!!!
Now I reflashed the phone using OS only modded ROM but 3G still OK.
ok so I have to flash the original ROM (stock rom from the htc site)
to get the 3G to work
but I dont really like the stock roms (especially not the Thai one)
would I be able to flash something else on top of it later?
Sure you can, like I did.
If your phone is un-locked with HSPL - you cannot flash the stock ROM as per HTC guideline. You need to extract the downloaded one to get the ROM .nbh file and use it for flashing like with other customized ROM. Then later you can update you phone with any customized ROM with no Radio part inside.
