hi is there anyway that i can dump the o2 rom from one of my other company phones? i updated my o2 rom to wwe 1.48 5 days ago and since as a result have had the phone randomly freeze, as in just will not power on, i have to reset the phone then it works fine for maybe day to day and half, if i could get the o2 rom could put back and see how it goes as my other 2 engineers have had no probs with o2 1.43 rom
You could try the official HTC 1.43 ROM instead of the O2 version. At least then you wont have all the O2 stuff and disabled wifi router

True, but with the o2 rom, a few of the bugs people have mentioned in launch roms are not there. I.E. notification led is fine, no spelling mistakes and so on.
Mine is 1.43.206.4
Count me in too if someone can obtain an official O2 Rom
I don't think there is any way to dump a rom to use on another phone as the digital signature is lost

Somebody knows, whether new official (not beta) version ROM 1.72 for T-Mobile MDA II has appeared?
:?
were all waiting
In the meantime I upgraded to the Qtek 1.72 (at leats Radio & OS) I custom build a Extended Rom that fulfills my needs AND had the NL T-Mobile settings in it
Bluetooth & batterylife are the main benefits
English Customization
I have an I-Mate that I just received 8/3, and have successfully flashed to ROM version 1.72 from Club I-Mate. The question I have goes towards a 2nd, ~6 meg file that I was also supposed to flash on to my I-Mate. Does anyone know what THAT update is supposed to do? I've posted the same question in the Club I-Mate forums, but have not received an answer after two or three days.
The reason I am asking is because my I-Mate seems to be working just fine without the 2nd update, though it does seem to be going through charges quickly, and its radio (phone) reception is poorer that the original XDA I Was using.
Thanks for any information you can provide.
we have a problem with a whole bunch of orange m1000 s that hard reset themselves every few days - I have a feeling its in the extended rom so am looking for an orange customer - pref uk who can post there extended rom here
or here----->>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=93851#93851
Charlie its not the software, its a problem with the main rom code, we have the same problem with some of the units at work, contacted orange and they say it was fixed in a later version of the rom. will post it when i get it.
Which ROM version are you using?
I am currently using 2.02t that has been customised for Orange UK and it is working perfectly, no resets or anything. If you want to stay with official ROMs, then the latest Orange UK version is either 1.66.200 (non MMS) or 1.66.230 (with MMS). They are both available on the Orange website.
Fin
If you say so
as I say I have had a replacement unit and all is ok - but I can tell you that I upgraded my main rom and radio rom and fault still occured - the only thing not changed in software was extended rom - you take from that what you will - I'll leave it alone and enjoy my working unit
It looks like you can't access ROM's anymore on the Orange website.
Can someone post the roms here?

Findus,
can you post your customised 2.02t roms here as I would like to do a comparison of the roms for both wm2003 and wm2003SE.
I have currently loaded on my M1000
Op ver 3.66.1.200
ROM 1.66.00WWE
ROM Date 02/20/04
Radio Version 1.10.00
Protocol Version 1337.18
ExtROM 1.66.200
Like I say in another post you can't get roms from the Orange WEB or Customer services
The unit has been constantly freezing and it takes about 20 reboots a day so would like to try it on its original Rom does anyone know where I can find this.
I have found the WM6 upgrade but would firstly like to see what its like on wm5. Currently running the black rom but freezes.
Many Thanks Daz
There is no UK T-Mobile WM5 ROM available.
The closest you will get is to download the German version and use the English CAB.
It will restore it to appear just as good as the WWE ROM, however, if you are requiring this for a warranty return, as soon as the engineer hard resets and finds it to be German... could cause problems...
Does this work?
I have been told by HTC that once you upgrade an X7500 to WM6 that it changes the bootloader and you can NOT go back to WM5??? Has anyone successfully gone back to WM5 from WM6?
basically this thread is for orange uk user to compare roms they have and see the differences, alerting users to new releases and versions whenever they get a new HD
also a great place to pose questions and answer them as far as orange branded roms go
please tell us what you have when posing questions
updates and news
11th Mar 09 - orange replacement HDs comewith 1.14 WWE roms instead of the newer 1.19.61.1
also i have one of my own questions
i got my HD about a week ago. scratched the screen got a replacements today
it came with 1.14.xx.x WWE HTC rom instead of 1.19.61.1 Orange ROM
as far as flashing to a orange branded rom again id prefer not to
ive also downloaded a the asia HKCSL WWE rom would this be compatile with Orange uk network
The radio versions are the same
I got my Orange Blackstone back in December and it has the 1.14.405.3 WWE rom.

can anyone confirm a non vendor branded (the HKSCL 1.19) working in the uk on orange uk network???
Mine came with 1.19 WWE, but I flashed to Dutty Extreme and today flashed to Davideuk V-2. They blow the original rom away, mainly thanks to the new manila.
ok ok im taking the plunge im about to download dutty extreme but there are two file availablw ones got msvc in it what is this
also what the test 4 all about
which one do i dl
Ruu_Signed_Duttys_HD_V2_1_XTREME_5_2_21018_1_6_0_Test4.zip
or
Ruu_Signed_Duttys_HD_V2_1_XTREME_5_2_21018_1_6_0_Test4_MSVC.zip
also do i need to flash the radio i currently have back on after the rom flash??
MSVC is Microsoft voice command, you can use it to make your phone do stuff ie: shout camera and the camera app opens. Mostly used for making calls really. I didn't fiddle with it at all as I couldn't see any use for it...
The test # indicates what version it is. It seems Dutty renames it with a test # every time he makes a minor bug fix, rather than releasing a whole new rom number.
No you don't have to flash a new radio, or re-flash your current radio. Radio's are flashed seperately to roms, they just use the same flashing method. I've flashed mine to 1.12 so it works with Orange if anyone's interested...
Incidentally the reason I changed from Dutty Extreme to Davideuk V-2 is the lack of T9 support on Dutty's rom. The new EZinput keyboard is superb in qwerty mode, but I prefer the keypad where T9 is a must. You can put the old keyboard back on with a bit of a reg hack, but that defeats the object of flashing a new rom... On Davideuk's rom the only problem I have is the screen switching off during a call. As far as I know Dutty's roms are the only ones that allow you to disable the screen switching off
well i flashed duttys but im loving it.
stunning rom and acually works
read the wiki's for the blackstone mate - you can't just flash a ROM straight onto the device.
And I wouldn't recommend using Duttys 2.1 just yet - try out 1.7 first as its very stable - 2.1 still needs a bit of work and may frustrate you especially if you are just beginning to get the grips of this addictive flashing stuff
btw MSVC stands for Microsoft Voice Command. hth
Edit:
Ignore me. Found the answer
i read the wikis three days before i got the device but the wikis dont go into how the roms function and there faults. i hadnt got the thread till yday
i got addicted to flashing when i got a kaiser but i got the omnia after that and it works differently, i gave the kaiser away and never got the chance to catch the bug
i flashed 2.1 and it brilliant i havent had a bug yet. not that fussed with tf3d errors as i dont use it everything runs good
i dont thinks theres been a benchmark done on these the main differences ive noticed is
no google maps on 1.19 orange and a orange animated splash screen on it to
Can custom ROM's be flashed to an Orange branded HD?
If so where can i get it because i've tried to do it but once connected to my pc after downloading the ROM & HardSPL it doesn't seem to work.
Hi
Sorry if this is a newb question and I've missed something obvious.
I'd like to upgrade an O2 branded hd2 to the generic latest ROM using the goldcard method described here. I understand this invalidates the warranty.
Is there any way of restoring the phone to its original state to circumvent this?
Thanks.
I would like to know this as well as im thinking of sending back my HD2 to o2 but cant as ive upgraded to 1.48.
Or is it worth sending back as it is now and then play dumb if they contact me to tell me its not got the original stock rom?
im with T-Mobile and upgrade it on ROM: 1.48.405.2 (71294) WWE - Radio: 2.05.51.05_2 last weeks and never had any prob yet and sim card works fine
Dump your ROM before upgrading. For how to do that search on the forum.
I'm also with O2, & they told me that as long as the ROM is an official one from the HTC website this won't invalidate your warranty
Not sure what the policy is with T-Mobile though
I did find a O2 rom on here somewhere, cant remember where, I havent used it yet, but im uploading it to rapidshare now and will provide a link. So if anything does go wrong you can just flash back to the O2 rom to be on the safe side.
I have returned a phone to O2 before that was HSPLed and they never said anything, but they sent out a new phone and picked up the old one at the same time.
O2 Rom...
