One of my favorite aspects so far is the theme can be easily "customized" by changing the background to almost anything else, and everything else still looks nice.
I'm trying to figure out how to change the top bar.. I'd like to change it to black, but still keep that kind of "3D" look that it has now unlike the other themes ive seen which have a flat black top bar.
The AIM icon can be fixed up a little bit, It came out a little more grey than i wanted.
What i'd like, but i dont know how it would work would be above the icons i have on the bottem id like a sliding bar (kind of hard to explain, it should look something like [ ] [ ] [ ] ) and each one of those boxes will be a picture that when hit will act a speed dial. Preferably id like the boxes to be greyscale till pressed and held down it turns to color.. Anyone know if this can be done?

I like it so far. I think that the clock text (12:06 AM) should look nicer if its smoothed out. The edges look really pixelated. Some way to make the text flow with the theme would definately be a plus.
i think it would look great with a flat black bar. also, if you integrated some sort of icon(s) showing if BT or wifi is on, this theme would be bomb.

I think im going to go for the flat black bar as kind of a last resort, It may possibly look fine. However, I like the bar that it has much better. I just want it to be black.
BT and Wifi icons can be done.. I will work on putting that in there.

Can't remember exactly where it is, but to get black bars (black with the 3d effect) you need to change the "BaseHue" value to 160... I can't remember where in the registry that is, but it's somewhere! I'll dig it up when i have the time...

Once its finished, I'll just compress it with all the files. If people need it, Im sure i wont have a problem providing a .cab

personally...i don't like the "noback" clocks...so...you can beginning by adding a back...maybe a trasparent one...for the icons it's ok and i really like the colours !!!! maybe you can do the bottom curtain the same colour of the top one..!!!
What about the squares ??? them still are black ? or you changed the colour in this type of orange ?
actually it had some curtains at the begining, but it made digits hardly readable, i tried diferent combinations(blacky digits and whity-yellowy curtains,vice versa, and so on), on this screen you can see how it was
and another problem is that i can not find how to choose another color for those letters from alarm clock and call history and stuff

Well, it's true...Not really girly..but maybe a little Legolas'ish
But I'm thinking about using this one as well...

This theme in the first post is very new and looks beautiful. It don´t need a clock background. The stile of numbers is new and the ancient optics is a little luxurious. The 2nd mode of clock background looks also nice, but the numbers are not so exciting.
If you make a transparent tab, you always have this problem, that you see the pictures twice. Nisse Dilligaf found a solution, but i don´t know, if this is the best for your theme.But go on with your work. I say : thumbs up!

1. taskbar, well this is my instaled soft,it's not about theme, you can make any changes, but in release version of theme i supose only manila files
2.about removing icons from top bar, i don't know if it's possible...
3.what do you mean by black gold theme? same design as this one but black and yellow/orange?

thing is, i want to have those vista like 3d gradient menu bars in my htc black theme. i searched this forum, the registry in my phone (found things like basehueexpress, color_titleflat/color_captionflat reg keys...), but nothing worked.

You can't - not with black anyway. The best you can do is grey.

yeah, a literally "black gradient" will be solid black anyways - i meant i want everything from the htc black theme, BUT with grey-to-black-gradient no-flat bars.
themegen ce is a thing i've already come across, besides it couldn't load the orig HTC Black.tsk file - i might re-create a black theme with non-flat bars, but (i suppose) this is something someone else around here has already done before. dl link anyone? :-D

Settings -> Today, choose Guava Bubbles theme
regedit, now:
hklm\software\microsoft\color\basehue -> to 160.

Ok, i got task manager program with a regeditor and i changed that value to 160 but now it is a turquise/green colour! im not sure what is goin on now!
It was decimal that i needed to select. Sometimes im just dumb!!!!! no more pot for me before i decide to play with my phone

BaseHueExpress would do the trick _after_ selecting guava bubbles theme, to avoid reg editing.. it has no effect on the original htc black.tsk theme, cause the 'flatness' and 'blackness' is kinda hardcoded into this theme. Though its a good app for quickchanging the magical basehue value without manually touching the registry

Download and install Wisbar, found here

Copy one (or all) of the three folders to your device, Storage recommended.
Go to Wisbar settings, install a new theme and browse for it.

yeah they will work, only downside to this dialer is the smartdial fix only shows one line at a time.. but it does work
but its the only dialer i have found that supports enough features and supports full skinning

Loving this! I'm a fan of the box around the numbers too. Dark transparent borders work well with it.
i like them all but i wanted to ask what dialer are u basing it off of.. bcuz i just skinned the black s2a dialer and the pressed and incall buttons where hard to skin so i was wondering if skinning ur dialers would be as hard. also do they support s2a?? vga/qvga ??

along the way it got modded to have larger dialpad, i might look into smaller dialpad again to have more smartdialers than one visible as it is now.. but i kind of prefer larger keys to having more smartdials in view
but my wince cab manager expired.. and my desktop crashed
so i am waiting for a network card to come in the mail so i can use the rc build of win7 (it wont work with the card i have now as it is too old - ive tried ) coming out soon and then.. i will get to work again

if you mean in the buttons, wont happen.. simply because any more transprency will make the dialer impossible to see anywhere other than in the dark/inside

I must say if redial is only 1 number at a time so we have bigger #'s, I don't mind. Could you make a blue/black combo dialer also? I tend to like the darker color themes and would want my dialer to contrast that much. Also, will it work in portrait and landscape?
a black dialer with only Numbers present would be nice will it have support for VGA WVGA QVGA WQVGA ...both ur palm and normal version should have box to make it more clear ...try to support only solid background so everyone can choose....have look at jdume dialer qvga http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65503

Please make sure these skin support smart dialing, just a request. The skins are looking amazing, just if smartdial is missing, i find it hard to use my phone dialer.
Man, these look amazing. In terms of both attractiveness and usability, the Manila skins are best - I prefer transparency used sparingly, with simple backgrounds if at all, and high-contrast is best. I really like what you've taken from the Pre's UI, though, and these skins look as sleek, polished, and professional than anything put out by Microsoft or HTC.

Oh, and I'm not a big fan of the Calibri. If I remember correctly, the pre screenshots have a crisper, almost geometric font, which seemed to go much better.
Until i get some time I'll just be porting my other themes to Touch Pro 2. Most of them should work i think but this blue one had some errors that i corrected so enjoy.

That is an interesting one. I've never seen that happen with the calendar tab. The stocks tab is default. I never made an icon for it. I'll try and fix this tonight(except the stocks tab).

Love the look of that theme. I thought I'd try it on my TP2 and it worked perfectly 1st time. Can't wait to see what else you can come up with.
Actually I have just found that there are a few icons missing. When you go to a person in your contacts the slide bar at the bottom defaults to the HTC TF3D standard although when highlighted the message, email and cal history tabs show up with your theme but the centre screen icon doesn't.
This issue i already know about. My original idea was to have those icons stay the same but they use the same icons for both the home slider and this submenu slider so i couldn't find away around that. Maybe I will get my themes to go deeper. I dunno i'll have to sit down and play with that once i get some time.

I have a new background for my blue theme. It has a slight problem of being almost the same shade of grey as some of the text. If people wanna try it out and let me know if you want this in a theme

The HQ Theme
HQ theme is an extended Theme. I have covered the settings page as well as most of the navigation in manilla.
The contacts and all contacts page has also got new icons.

Very Nice Theme! Can U make a cab of just the icons? I wanna keep my default clock and don't really like the blue/green color you got goin on in the all programs list
The settings, calendar and program icons aren't as sharp as the other ones. I'd like to see a high quality envelope for the mail icon instead of the blue bird and mailbox

Im done with this theme, i will only edit faults like missing icons where there should have been one.
Other than that i am working on a new theme. I might release separate cabs for the clock and icons on that one.

Im not sue what u mean about a hybrid TP2. I made this theme on an unbranded TP2, so i wouldnt know how they work on the branded ones.
when it comes to the slider i made it not transparent by intent.
When i make them transparent, the background icon on the slider is larger than the one being shown on the slider itself, making it (imo) not very nice to look at. (you can see what i mean on the first theme i made ;http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550327

I have not written anything on the theme, so i cant see why itshouldnt be multilanguage as long as your phone is.

he i got a prob the hole theme doesn't work with me, can anyone help me? becasue after installing, i see "Title" and then the scroll bar is stuck without any logo's like internet and mail i don't see them. and i dont see the clock.
Then when i go to instellingen it resets

I see. Firstly go to settings and today, disable TF3D. Uninstall the theme, and try installing it again without TF3D running. Soft reset phone and reboot TF3D after entering PIN kode.
If this still makes a faulty theme, please post you device model (Brand).
I have not been able to test these themes on a branded phone, so i do not know if it works on them.
if it doesnt work, i will post it on the first post.

Great! Looking 4ward to the icons cab
hey most is fixed know but i still got 2 probs:
1. between the 2 clock rounds there is a white bar;
2. the bar were you can change from home to mail to etc. the bar that is moving is blue and doesnt show the picture of the one that is selected
