I cannot connect Qtek S110 to pc in bootloader mode.
In regular mode magician connects ok, I see it in Device manager,
Activesync sycronize ok.
But when I go to bootloader mode, PC doesn't see magician.
When I connect USB cable, "Serial" on the magician's screen doesn't change to "USB", and device manager doesn't show device.
I disable USB connection in Activesync, even kill wcescomm.exe proccess.
Problem solved by removing SD card!
I can't connect to my PC while in the bootloader either (SD&SIMcard removed).
The bootloader screen, then fades out. I have to remove the battery, and reinsert it to be able to enter the bootloader again. I bricked the unit with a fulty ROM. Any suggestions?

I've upgrading using my SD card with no success.

Hi all, I'm facing a bit of a problem here and really hope you guys can help me out. My Universal is no longer able to start up. Power, soft reset, everything doesn't seem to work.
Hard resetting it brings up the 0 to reset, X to exit screen. Upon pressing 0, it shows "Clearing memory" and then that's it, the phone does not boot.
Tried going into boot loader mode and connect to it using mtty but no luck. Phone goes into BL mode but I am unable to connect.
Plugging my USB cable to the device results in an unrecognized USB device, but the charging light does not go on. Edit: The word "Serial" remains there on the screen after plugging in the USB cable.
Just wondering if anyone encountered this problem before and if there's any solution to this?
Really hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks all.
here...
this is a tool that will allow you to exit bootloader mode (serial)
1. connect your device to the computer
2. wait ~30 seconds
3. run this tool and wait
4. when it's done disconnect your device and soft reset !
have fun !

Confirm your hardreset(many doesn't realised what they did is just softreset)
Try different cable different PC.
Use Wm5torage to test if you want.
Try activesync via IR/bluetooth.

Can you get into bootloader mode (The 3 colorbars)??? If yes, plug in the usb and see if it reads in the lower corner (it will say usb). If yes, you should be able to re-flash your phone, and from what you wrote, it sounds as if the usb will read...however, if your usb port is damaged, you may have a bigger issue to deal with.
For more detailed info, click the linky in my siggy. It is the most complete thread I know of about saving a wizard from death.
Most wizards can be saved...mine wasn't but mine was severely damaged...that being said, the thread linked below gives great info on various methods.
Also, if it is an active-sync issue, it can usually be corrected.
Read the thread, see if any of it helps, then report back if you need more help.
I can get into bootloader mode (The 3 colorbars) I then plug the usb to my pc and usb see it for 2 seconds and it disappears saying "USB is not recognized". When I try to flash the "RUU_wizard_225111_22511102_02252_CWS_wwe" downloaded from htcwizard website and i get " ERROR [260]: UPDATE ERROR".
Before i didnt have a problem.. im running nand android and now all of a sudden when i plug my phone into usb nothing happens except a charge.. how can i access my sd card again?
turn on mass storage mode if using cyan/ginger/froyo clean, or disk drive mode if using htc sense build.

Pull down the notification menu (while connected) and select USB connection and you should get a option to turn USB storage on and off.
It also depends on which rom you are using.
It even could be your pc, reboot it. Has something to do with the non-mandatory safe removal of USB devices. I had it with my phone and I thought I bricked it.
Maybe your pc need the right drivers, reboot PC and replug the USB cable. Look at the notification bar if you see an USB icon, click it and turn on mass storage.
Hope this helps.
I have HTC HD2,I was trying to upgrade to Android, I think I made a mistake I installed “MAGLDR113” before upgrading my Radio to version 2.15.50.14. After I installed MAGLDR113 I connected my phone to my computer and the telephone was stuck in boot mode and was never able to see USB connection. Now my computer does not recognize my phone anymore and I can’t flash a new Radio version since I have no connectivity to my computer. I tried several things but all was useless. Can anyone help me telling me how I can have a USB connection to my computer??
Thank you.
do you have tried to start and hold volume button... than connect to usb and simply install a stock rom (for example from your provider) - this must work... if not - you have bigger problem.

Answered so many times. turn your phone off then turn it on "while holding volume down.It will then take to bootloader(rainbow screen). It suppose to have a cotulla written above the rainbow screen. Now flash it with a stock rom came from HTC site..No need to sync your phone to your PC..Just flash it..Start all over again..Now you can search before doing somehing with your phone. If that didn't help you. You have a bigger problem..
Yes I tried this also but it doesn't work.
What didn't work? Can you boot into bootloader - ie switch off, press and hold vol down button and switch phone on.
You should then boot into a multi-coloured screen and should see "serial" at the bottom of the screen. Then connect device to usb port (preferably one at back of your pc and a different one that you haven't used before if possible) - let the drivers install if applicable - does "serial" change to "usb"?
Do wat d above posters have suggested then try different usb ports or even a different windows pc...For all we know, your usb cable might be faulty....Also did u perform HARDSPL before anything else?
I've started experiencing this very same thing. HD2 wont regognize usb connection while in bootloader screen. I get the usb connection sound but never says usb at bottom of screen like it used to. I've been trying android builds via sd but wanted to try my first flash but cant even instal MAGLDR cos it just fails at bootloader cos of no connection. Has been driving me wild for 3 days now.
try plugging the phone into a different USB port it should work then...
Tried that all day and it said couldn't install drivers, then just tried the same ports now and its worked. I think it was mobile device center had 2 set-ups for my phone, i deleted the older one and all seems fine now.
This is crazy, now i'm stuck on magldr and won't find usb.
I'm leaving nand now cos i'm close to smashing my phone to pieces, magldr usb flasher will not find the connection no matter what i try, so i'm staying with ****ty windows mobile. Not happy but i've been trying for days now.

I am experiencing this exact same problem. Bootloader wont recognize the USB stays in SERIAL. Tried different ports, cord is fine. What is the problem.
Before this, my HTC HD2 would just hard reset on its own ONCE A DAY! Why was it doing this?
Now it gets stuck on the white HTC loading screen. Wont get passed it. I used to be able to hard reset by doing the volume keys down and reset but NOPE... still wont load past that white screen.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you guys tried deleting the drivers using a utility like USBDeview? Try deleting anything that relates to HTC OR HD2, replug the phone in, re-install the drivers.

Of course it won't work without drivers. The computer needs drivers to communicate with the phone. In normal mode, unplug the phone, Google the application, download it, open it, click everything that has HTC or HD2 in it and click uninstall. Plug the phone in, let the drivers install themselves again. Try again.

Ok... i rebooted into Normal mode, downloaded the utility, did a search for "HTC" found nothing, did a search for "HD" found nothing. So i am now installing windows mobile center for windows 7 which should have the appropriate drivers.
Install Windows mobile device center 6.1, problem solved.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
I'm able to view through USBDeview that my HD2 is connected, however I'm unable to view/open it.. I screwed up by naming the 'temp' folder to 'copy_to_sd_root'..
The instructions confused me. I figured this was the folder that needed to be copied to the sd root... however when i rebooted the phone, I was unable to access it. Any recommendations?
SOLVED
I was overlooking the USB Flash option.
If you are still having problems, let your phone turn on(no multi-color screen), select: USB Flash, click the DAF.exe installation file, follow the prompts.
You're done.
I had this problem and I solved it disabling an option in activesync. I can't remember what was exactly the checkbox, but was in "options" and it said something like "allow usb connections" or something like this.
I just disabled it and rebooted the device holding volume down.
Good luck!
Make Sure Phone is not connected to PC
Goto cotrol panel in windows
Uninstall HTC BMP USB Driver
Uninstall HTC Driver Installer
Uninstall HTC Sync
Unisntall Windows Mobile Device Center
Restart the PC
start the phone holding power and vol dn and now connect the phone to PC. should detect and install the drivers and you should be able to see USB on phone screen.
if this does not work
Delete all the USB root HUB but keep as last option in device manager.
PS: This will cause ALL the USB devices to redetect.
Let me know if this works
Hi guys ,my problem is that when I connect my phone via USB cable at first there is no problem, data transfer , windows mobile device center, everything is OK. But when I want to flash the phone pressing vol-down + switch on/off keys the phone is not connected to the PC. And I can't flash it. Also the phone wouldn't like charge trough the charger ,only with the data cable. Is it possible to have any liaison between the problem with charging with charger and no-connection when try to flash.
Also my phone was to the service for touch-screen change ,is it possible the technician make any mistake ? Cause I think that if he make a mistake with the connector nothing gonna work ,but it works at different situations.
Regards!
check to be sure USB SYNC driver installed correctly and also try a different usb cable.
I'll try but there is no logic ,the cable works when charge the phone, works when is connected to device manager but doesn't works when flashing ?
exactly. the device requires different drivers.
1. there is internet sharing and disk mode (which works with all computers, because those drivers are in the operating system)
2. then there is one driver for syncing
3. and another one for flashing
it is not the same kind of data transfer, which is why you need a different driver. but the thread "[tut] updating htc sync drivers" should cover all your windows vista/7 driver needs and a tutorial on how to install them, which in case of a x64 system can be fairly complicated.
if you already have hspl installed (which you can determine by entering bootloader mode and looking whether it says 1.56Olinex), you can also flash using the sd car method. put a rom of your choice on the sd card, name in BLACIMG.nbh and enter bootloader mode, you will be presented with options to flash the rom.
Ok, but in instructions at the thread you give me is written that I have to start making the steps after I see "USB" on the flashing screen. But I don't see it, it's only "Serial". And now what ? I know that if on the screen i written "USB" the phone and the computer are connected and there is no problem to flash ,but now what ?
well, before you start, put your device into bootloader mode. it will show "serial", then connect it to the pc. test your connection using mtty 1.42 (you'll find several download options here in the forum).
the connection settings for mtty are USB 115200-8-1-No-NONE-None
if it works, connect and press enter, the command shell should show USB> then.
if usb is not present in the connection settings, your connection is not established yet. proceed with the tutorial then. during the entire procedure, the device should remain connected to the pc in bootloader mode, so you install the driver for the right device state.
Hello,
I've problem something like this. Few months ago when i was conecting my phone to computer was everything OK, activesync, disk drive, but now nothing, just charging the phone. I've tryed everything in USB to pc zone, but nothing. When i'm going to bootloader it's writen serial. What can be here?
since you already tried all the different connection methods and even bootloader mode does not connect, there are hardly any options left, where the trouble could be:
- the usb port on the blackstone
- the usb port on the pc
- the cable
you can try another port on the pc (or even better, another pc altogether) and/or another cable, like from a digital camera, an external hdd... (many devices have mini usb cables, you should be able to use either one of those)
