Hello guys,
As U all know, S2U2 and S2P is in fully progress. And a good program developed to a nice looking unlock plugin. So I used this program since beta. And I thought to make this unlock program much easier in use by just tapping a 'single button' to unlock to the Today screen. That why I called it Press to Unlock.
We can make this by simple config files and use other (animated buttons) instead of the common slider button. AND THAT makes this unlock program much easier in use. A nice look with an 'animated' button. A simple lazy unlock plugin.
Are there people who are in it? Or willing to develop this idea? I think quite simple, but there will be a NEED for this idea.
So who's in??
Why not just an option within S2U2?
Wouldn't said button be easier to accidently unlock phone with? Defeating the purpose of a lock program in the first place? Maybe I am wrong.
You do know there is an option to do this in S2U2...right?
All you do is enable d-pad and then you can use the right d-pad button to slide the slider as well.
if all you want is a button to unlock the device, the BUILT IN device lock today plugin will do that for you. you have to press the left soft key then tap a button on the screen and it will unlock. it may not be skinable like S2U2 but its already in the device, so why not use it?

hello, just about all of the user from my work are recalling the last person they called. so i have been looking for a program to lock it with a hardware button. i found that and now i am trying to look for one that will not only lock it with one button but unlock it with one button also.
i have tryed looking around for it all over with no luck. Does anyone know of a program that we can use to be able to do this,
thanks again for all your help
There are 2 programs devicelock and deltalock and few others. Map them to hard button using settings\buttons or wm5 newmenu or other ways.
see thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=50798
You can also try Mortsaver http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1437
You can assign it to a button, set it to also turn off the device (just like pushing the power button), and it locks the screen and buttons when activated.
hello mates,
is there any autolocking program like it goes on after 1 minutes?
Use devicelock - install it and under start menu\settings\devicelock there is an option to lock on wakeup. So if you device is set to suspend in one minute - it will lock when any attempt is made to wake the device up.
see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=45953
Does anybody know how to change the prog. function keys in the today screen?
Instead of telephone I'd rather like to lock the device (left funct key).
The telephone I already have by pressing the green telephone button.
Kind regards
jekal
hi !
I use a combinaison of AE Buttons to remap hw buttons and VJDeviceLock (thanks to Vijay555 ) to create an accessible shortcut to the wm5 today key lock plugin.
So I can lock the trinity by pressing and holding 1sec the left app button.
Thanks for that fast answer.
But what do you mean by AE Buttons?
And where is this today key lock plugin to find?
JEKAL
Hi
Look for AE Buttons Plus : http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
This application (unfortunatly not freeware but only $8) allows you to re-assign any buttons of your trinity according to simple, double action, short or long pressing... A must have for me.
Then Vijay555 released a freeware (but I definitly should donate) that can be launched by AEB+ on a specific button (long press on the left application button for me) and which calls the today plugin to lock the keys : http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJDeviceLock.
This Device Lock today plugin is installed by default on wm5 units, but only accessible on the today screen with a small icon, and not really useable without the stylus...
VJDeviceLock (and Yet Another Device Lock) don't use the Today plugin item, so the item can be disabled, saving screen space.
If you read the info on the VJKeyPress page, you'll see that there's another way to achieve the same result.

Seems to be a nice app! Is it possible to reprogram the "ok"-button below the wheel as well?
I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything, but is there a way to set my wing to unlock when ever I slide the keyboard open. Kind of like how the sidekick works?
Thanks in advance.
if you press the off button at the top of the device, it will not only button and screen lock it, but if you change the configuration, it will also wake up, unlocked.
You can use slide to unlock, which is an iphone looking lock aplet. It makes regular unlocking prettier, and allows unlocking with sliding the keyboard.
So I have done a little bit of searching and didnt really find and answer so I thought I would ask. After locking the device....to unlock you have to select unlock then touch unlock on the screen. My question is there a way that I can set that second touch button on the screen to another button? Basically so i dont have to touch the screen to unlock. Is this possible?
someone here on xda made a program so you only have to hit the one button, the softkey, to unlock. i don't remember the name though.
here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305402&highlight=simple+unlock
Ok im sorry if someones mentioned this already, its just that i noticed it now and thought id let everyone know just incase no ones tripped over the idea.
as we all know, when S2U2 is installed on the diamond, pressing the power button on the top locks the phone and puts it into the slide to unlock interface, however alot of people have noticed that by pressing the home button, it takes you to tflow3d thus the S2U2 lock becomes useless on the diamond as you can easily and accidently press the home key while the phone is in your pocket.
N e ways back to the "revelation",
i was playing around with secondtoday, where i used the standard wm lock, and then pressed the power key to put it into the S2U2 interface, i now realised that the phone was trully locked, and nothing would happen when you press the home key.
n e ways, i just thought wouldnt it be possible to make it so that by pressing the power button, both the S2U2 and wm lock start at the the same time, and then when u slide to unlock the standard wm lock is also disabled.
im sure some1's thought of this, but i just had to share my thought just incase
Or you can use the new 1.13 version of S2U2, I think it solves this?

And you enabled the key lock? It's disabled by default.
I thought the new "Key Hook" feature did it. I don't have a Diamond, so I can't confirm.

Sure I came along this idea long time ago when there are so many other lock programs flowing around.
Technically, there are a few issues:
- the lock & unlock process of S2U2 & the device lock has to be in-sync;
- S2U2 has always be on top of the device lock when locked;
- automate the device lock & unlock (most other lock programs have done this part);
- take care of the CallerID.
Recently this idea came across my mind again, as you said, because of the "Home" button of the Diamond... On the other hand, there is a "long press end key" function in the Diamond for activating the device lock. It looks like very suitable testing bed is right on my hand... so let's see...
P.S. The latest version do try to fix the "Home" button but in another way. You may read HERE for more.
im sure youl figure it out A_C, take your time.
Thanks for what youv done so far
