hello, just about all of the user from my work are recalling the last person they called. so i have been looking for a program to lock it with a hardware button. i found that and now i am trying to look for one that will not only lock it with one button but unlock it with one button also.
i have tryed looking around for it all over with no luck. Does anyone know of a program that we can use to be able to do this,
thanks again for all your help
There are 2 programs devicelock and deltalock and few others. Map them to hard button using settings\buttons or wm5 newmenu or other ways.
see thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=50798
You can also try Mortsaver http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1437
You can assign it to a button, set it to also turn off the device (just like pushing the power button), and it locks the screen and buttons when activated.
hello mates,
is there any autolocking program like it goes on after 1 minutes?
Use devicelock - install it and under start menu\settings\devicelock there is an option to lock on wakeup. So if you device is set to suspend in one minute - it will lock when any attempt is made to wake the device up.

Does anyone know a software that can toggle touch-screen feature on/off on Magitians?
I don't mean blanking the screenduring a call, but rather a program that blocks screen tapping. I want to operate my S110 with buttons without worrying about accidental screen touches.
Hi
You can always use TPenable.exe and TPdisable.exe from any Extended ROM.
Good luck
Thanks but... TPDisable.exe disables all buttons also. So, it doesn't work for me.
Hi, do a search for "mortsaver".
I know MortSaver. This program turns screen off entirely, not only touch-screen feature. So, doesn't work for me either.

As far i understud, you can configurate it to do what ever you need:
"What is it good for?
MortSaver is a combination of screensaver, keylock, and a "stay off!" function.
Screensaver:
The display's turned off, but the PPC keeps running (e.g. for audio players). In spite to other tools, MortSaver turns off the dispay again if it's been switched on by e.g. an alert or the on/off button.
Keylock: All buttons (except the one necessary for deactivation, of course) are locked, as far as it's possible to me. A few programs sadly use some undocumented tricks, which allows them to get the button presses even if they're assigned to MortSaver in the system, or set themselfes as topmost window, by which the direction pad keys will be sent to this window. Disabling MortSaver can be done either with one button or a sequence of two buttons.
"Stay off!": PocketPCs are often switched on by themselves or accidentally - by alerts (appointments, SMS, ...) or accidental button presses in your pocket. In those cases, MortSaver can turn off the device again after a selectable timespan (so you recognize MortSaver's active and the device alive).
After power on or system-caused disabling of the screensaver, MortSaver shows a countdown until the screen or device (depending on settings, also see instructions), the button(s) to deactivate it, the time, battery level, a user definable text (e.g. owner infos), and on Phone Edition devices also signal strength and hints about missed calls and SMS."
Source Official mortsaver web page:
http://www.sto-helit.de/modules/edito/content.php?id=36
I am not saying that Mortsaver does not deliver what promises. Simply I am looking for something different.
To rephrase what I need in other words:
1/ having screen on (to see what is on the screen)
2/ having device making no reaction on screen taps
3/ having all button working (slider, power, application)
I've configured my S110 to operate and run everything I need on the run by one hand using just buttins. But quite often accidental touch by finger or cloth (when I pulling it of the pocket or putting it back) stops what I run or making a second call to the person I've just talked.
Ok, now i get your meaning. Perhaps yo can ask directly to mort developer as i did many times at his own email witch you can find at his web page.
Look for Pocketmax ScreenGuard works perfectly. Costs some money though.
ScreenGuard ( http://www.pocketmax.net/screenGuard.htm ) still locks the buttons, though? Except for the green call button - and then only when you also use their PhoneAlarm app.
ScreenGuard falls close to what I am looking to. But it locks buttons and couple of times it locked "too good" - I couldn't unlock my device and needed to HR.
maybe u want to try this...
assign it to any button to lock....
to unlock, hold record button and calendar button...
i assigned it to record button for easy usage...
cheers...

But this one also turns screen off :-(
Hi all,
I use the BT A2DP profile to stream music through the media player and one of the 'features' that differs from the K-JAM (wizard) and is lacking in the TyTN is the ability to continue that stream even when the device is 'off' (useful for saving battery, switching off the buttons, etc.). With the TyTN whenever the device is turned off the stream also ceases. Does anybody know if there is someway of ensuring that the media player is not switched off along with the device (I'm guessing a registry setting or similar).
All help very welcome.
Cheers
I was wondering this also. My wizard was able to be "off" and still stream. ANyone got any brigjt ideas?

Have you tried just turning the screen off? PocketPlus has a utility called "Screen Toggle," which does just that.
When used in conjunction with the Button Lock (leaving only the power button active), you just might be able to solve your issue...

Yeah...what he said!
That what I do.
I really miss this feature to.
So there is no way to do it on the Hermes?
Its not particulary elegent to have to perform multiple steps to turn the screen off. it was much eaiser just to hit the off button and listen away...
I'm using VjDeviceLock wich is what you want, I think.
After you've installed it you should create a new shortcut in c:/windows/startmenu/programs/vijay555/vjdevicelock. You can copy an exiting one in this directory and edit the parameter. What you want is "-displayoff". I bound this to my Videocall-Button, cause I don't use video telephony.
If I listen to music I just have to press my Videocall-Button and VjDeviceLock turns off my screen and locks all Buttons except the power on/off one.
Also VjDeviceLock is just great to save money
If you get a sms or a call the device turns on itself. I once didn't notice this and called a random person out of my adressbook, because I had my trion in my pocket and were moving all the evening and somehow started a call.
This cannot happen again, because I started vjdevicelock with parameter "-install". Now everytime my trion turns on itself it gets automatically (re)locked.
thats a fantastic solution and it works really well!
what program are you using to remap the buttons?
Hi,
Does anyone else suffers strange key problems when using VJdevicelock;
After using -displayoff or -displaytoggle and resume back to normal, phone buttons (call/disconnect,videotalk) doesnt work anymore, it need to be softreseted before the buttos work again?
-Kha
EDIT:
just found out that when resuming from -displayoff, after pressing windows and ok softkeys, dialbuttos work again!
I'd appreciate if somebody here could advice me on how to map VjDeviceLock to VideoCall button on my TyTN (I have original TyTN ROM and the VideoCall key is functional ). I couldn't remap it using Buttons configuration utility in Settings.
as I said you have to create a Shortcut in your Startmenu. Shortcuts in Startmenu are shown as available possibilities in Start - Settings - Buttons (Perhaps it's called a bit different. I'm using a german version where it's called 'Tasten')
This is how I remapped it. I don't use a special program.
I use the device lock on today plugins.

This does not turn off your screen AND your device is sometimes getting unlocked when you receive calls or sms.

Thank you very much for your instant response. I did all you mentioned in your message and I remapped the VideoCall button (is it the Button between Buttons 4 and 5 ? ) but pressing it still doesn't activate VJDevice. Any other suggestions?
Is the device locked when you click on the shortcut?
If not: edit an existing shortcut, let's say "VJDeviceLock About.lnk". Make it point to: \Programms\vjay555\VJDeviceLock\VJDeviceLock.exe" -displayoff
It is right that there is only one "
When I open my shortcut in a text editor the content is:
Code:
64#"\Programme\vijay555\VJDeviceLock\VJDeviceLock.exe" -displayoff"
Yes. The device locks when I click on the shortcut itself but when I press VideoCall button, to which I had previously mapped the link, the Dialpad pops up.

How can you do this? Are you using a third party app? I see no way to bind anything other than 5 buttons on my device...
I bound it to "Button 5".
I haven't seen this question anywhere so i reckoned id ask..
I like to use my phone for listening to music but if you put it in your pocket id does all kinds of strange things - like opening PIE which starts a UMTS connection or it jumps to the next song..
I never use the videocall button on the phone, so why not map the built-in keylock to that one?
But does anyone know if this is possible/how to do it? can this simply be changed in the registry?
Thanks for any help.
I use vjay's device lock.
Get it here
http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJDeviceLock
Hi. thanks for the quick response.
Works like a charm =)
but now i need to map the exe to the videocall-button. any ideas?
I beleive that the Video call button is button 5 on the left side of your phone. I have an 8525 so that button is PTT. I think if you try load the PTT fix it may open that button up. I am not sure about this so it you try that you may need to do a hard reset to get back if it messes up your phone. So make sure you have a current backup to quickly restore from.
Where ca you find the PTT fix?

hi. thx. but that wont work. the PPT button is not the video call button. i could of course map it to another one.
I use a program called double launcher got it at handango. It allows you to assign up to 4 different programs to each HW button. I only use 3 per button but it's real nice. It's done by press, -- double press, -- press and hold, -- double press and hold.
Check it out I assigned the VJ device lock to double press on comm manager.
Ok im sorry if someones mentioned this already, its just that i noticed it now and thought id let everyone know just incase no ones tripped over the idea.
as we all know, when S2U2 is installed on the diamond, pressing the power button on the top locks the phone and puts it into the slide to unlock interface, however alot of people have noticed that by pressing the home button, it takes you to tflow3d thus the S2U2 lock becomes useless on the diamond as you can easily and accidently press the home key while the phone is in your pocket.
N e ways back to the "revelation",
i was playing around with secondtoday, where i used the standard wm lock, and then pressed the power key to put it into the S2U2 interface, i now realised that the phone was trully locked, and nothing would happen when you press the home key.
n e ways, i just thought wouldnt it be possible to make it so that by pressing the power button, both the S2U2 and wm lock start at the the same time, and then when u slide to unlock the standard wm lock is also disabled.
im sure some1's thought of this, but i just had to share my thought just incase
Or you can use the new 1.13 version of S2U2, I think it solves this?

And you enabled the key lock? It's disabled by default.
I thought the new "Key Hook" feature did it. I don't have a Diamond, so I can't confirm.

Sure I came along this idea long time ago when there are so many other lock programs flowing around.
Technically, there are a few issues:
- the lock & unlock process of S2U2 & the device lock has to be in-sync;
- S2U2 has always be on top of the device lock when locked;
- automate the device lock & unlock (most other lock programs have done this part);
- take care of the CallerID.
Recently this idea came across my mind again, as you said, because of the "Home" button of the Diamond... On the other hand, there is a "long press end key" function in the Diamond for activating the device lock. It looks like very suitable testing bed is right on my hand... so let's see...
P.S. The latest version do try to fix the "Home" button but in another way. You may read HERE for more.
im sure youl figure it out A_C, take your time.
Thanks for what youv done so far
Hey!
Is somewhere out there an application or some sort of WM modification that would make the default WM device lock power-button-sensitive? The current one (if you enable it in Advanced Config) turn itself automatically on when you put the device into standby (by power button, for example) but when you press the button again, you have to unlock the device. That wouldn't be a problem if the TouchFLO 3D clock updated, but when the device is locked, the TouchFLO 3D clock doesn't update itself.
So I would like to have a keylock that would automatically lock the device if the power button is pressed (or the device is in standby) and automatically unlock when the power button is pressed again (or there's incomming call). But the important thing is that it would keep the device locked when some appointment showed up or something like that.
I've been searching the net and all possible forums and sites but ran out empty - no such application od modification found. Can anyone help? Maybe the csdevctrl (v.4.01) may help but I don't know how to set it properly.

StylusLock is locking the device and keeps running programs updating the screen (so is not interfering with them). But probably this is not what you requested, because it is not controlled via the power button, but the stylus.
Thanks for reply, but that's not what I'm looking for.

How do you do this in Advanced Config? I can't see it anywhere!!!
mayb he meant diamond tweak. there is a option called autolock. when ur backlight goes off or u turn off the screen it will lock the device.
Advanced Config 3.3: Screen -> Auto device lock & timeout.
I dont have that option on my HD with advance config
my solution
I had same problem and auto device lock did not solve it. because I don't want the device is auto locked when the screen is on. It should only be locked when the screen is off and device is waken up by power button or any call/sms/alarm event.
- Battery Status plugin was able to do this great but it does not work stable with TouchFlo 3D.
- To lock the device automatically on wakeup ThrottleLock is a great application but while it locks the screen clock and today screen is not updated.
- I also tried VJDeviceLock but it did not work automatically on wakeup. But when you execute VJDeviceLock.exe it locks the screen manually using the device lock of Windows Mobile.
To solve these first I installed VJDeviceLock and then ThrottleLock. Then I copied VJDeviceLock.exe into ThrottleLock folder in the name of ThrottleLock.exe. Now every time I wake up the device screen is locked by Windows Mobile's devicelock instead of ThrottleLock's pattern based custom lock screen.
