Pharos problem sending sms

With a brandnew HTC 3470 aka Pharos, I'm facing a Problem, that regardless in which way I'm sending an sms, an error-message pop's up.
This message say's " The receiver is NOT known, sending anyway ?"
This happens
1. when I'm replying a received sms
2. when I use contacts
3. when I send it manually in all kind of formats
Nevertheless, the sms is sent. Just this error-msg drives me crazy.
Anybody an idea ?

PS : I'm using outlook 2002, maybe a compatiblity problem with WM 6

hmmm, i thought about this one a bit.
but the only thing i can think of is disabling the "confirm received" or something to that effect ( i have the dutch version so i dont know what the english version would be)
go to sms (tap it) then to menu, extra,then tap on the sms /mms to change the settings of that account. then uncheck the topmost box. (the one that says confirmation of receipt or something to that effect)
i dont know if that would solve your problem, so keep me posted please.

Thanks for your thoughts ! But no change at all. I think I'll have to make a hardreset and add one prog. after the other. Let's see what it will bring.

Now I've made hardreset and installed "contacts" only via "active sync" and everything works fine. But after installing all my progs with sprite backup, same story again.So I'll install now prog by prog in order to find out, which prog creates this bloody error.

ah so one of the progs that are in the backup causes the errors..
very strange that if you import your contact via activesync it works....and if you restore form backup it gos down the drain ....maybe its a setting that imported as well through sprite??!!??

Problem solved
Reason for this strange behavior was a program called "Batti 2.1".
This Program only shows a barline indicating the battery status.
With the version 2.2 the problem is solved.

Automatic kontact sugestion in SMS

Hi, i have a little problem with my HTC TYTN.
I have lost the funktion that gives me sugestions about witch contact to use when i start writing in the contact/adress field in the SMS mod. is there anything i can do/add to get this function back. is it allso possible to get this function in MMS to.
i think it disapeard when i tryed to intall a new keyboard (on-screen). the Diamond keyboard, but i had to uninstall it.
Please help me!

Non-latin keyboard for Sprint HTC Touch

Hey guys, I have an HTC Touch with WM 6.1 and need to put Cyrillic keyboard on it. After installing POcket Keys (Link) I can type in Russian and messages look fine on my phone, however all txt and email recipients are getting a bunch of question marks. I suspect that the problem is in the OS and not the keyboard itself, but don't have much knowledge on the subject. Have anyone had experience adding a non-latin keyboard to WinMo 6.1 device and experienced similar issues? Was there a way to resolve them? Thank you!
Update: I can submit search queries via Opera and chat via Palringo using the keyboard just fine. I think the problem is that the message is not in unicode format. Is there a way to force windows mobile to give me an option to send txt message in unicode?

HTC contacts issue

I have done a search and have seen a couple of people have the same issue. I have tried several ROM's and am still using MaryOne.
My issue is that on the "people" tab clicking on the Phone symbol to dial someone does not work. This is the same on the HTC contact page, clicking on "call Mobile" does not activate. "send messge" and "send email" is still fine.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? Obviously this is fine for some people so why is this not working on my phone?
Any help / advice appreciated.

failing no one having a solution, is there a way to map the "contact" soft key in the dialer to the default contact rather than the HTC contacts?

Capital letters after . using TF3D

Is there absolutely no way to get automatic capital letters when starting a sentence without deactivating HTC sense? I have tried searching, but cant find a definite answer. I really like TF3D, and this is my only problem with it. It seems that when i start a new message it works, but if i reply in a threaded message, it doesnt.
I have recently updated to Windows mobile 6.5 through HTC´s webpage, if that makes any difference.

If someone knows, I like to DEactivate capital letters after a "." in SMS!

so ... go to settings, all settings - get to input and the options. You have there: Capitalize first letter of sentence

Thank you, but this solution does not work, when replying in a threaded message.
When i receive a message, I go to the "text-message" slide in HTC sense to view the message. Then i press the message to view the previous messages (thread), and write a reply. When writing the reply, Capital letters after . is not working even though i have activated the function mentioned above.
Any help? I can not believe that HTC cant fix this, it is so simple, and works on all other brand mobiles.

Anyone found a solution for this yet? For me this has also been an annoyance in using the reply function in threaded texting.
