Hey guys, I have an HTC Touch with WM 6.1 and need to put Cyrillic keyboard on it. After installing POcket Keys (Link) I can type in Russian and messages look fine on my phone, however all txt and email recipients are getting a bunch of question marks. I suspect that the problem is in the OS and not the keyboard itself, but don't have much knowledge on the subject. Have anyone had experience adding a non-latin keyboard to WinMo 6.1 device and experienced similar issues? Was there a way to resolve them? Thank you!
Update: I can submit search queries via Opera and chat via Palringo using the keyboard just fine. I think the problem is that the message is not in unicode format. Is there a way to force windows mobile to give me an option to send txt message in unicode?

Hi folks,
I'm experiencing a very strange problem with Opera Mobile - when I'm on a website which has a text input box and am using Transcriber, for some reason Opera doesn't insert spaces between the words when the text is recognised, meaning I have to switch to another SIP to input text correctly.
Anyone got any ideas why this is happening, and only in Opera?
This is a well-known bug of Opera Mobile 8.60 and there is no fix for it except for using the standard keyboard SIP.
You'll need to wait for the next release.
Thanks for the quick reply - much appreciated!
Hi,
I need your help to find out a software that I can use my HTC Touch Cruise to send and receive Unicode SMS messages via mobile phone.
I searched over and didn't find out a software that works with WM6. Can you help me to find one?
Thanks
Is it that hard to get?!
It looks like I am asking soming not easy to get! I did almost two weeks search for workable software. I only found one software which is called Instant SMS Sender. I tried it and it works. But it doesn't have must features like Indovisi SMS.
I hope someone can come up with better one. Lets look who is the Hero
Thanks
I found a very simple freeware software which is called zSMS v0.6. I tested and it works. It doesn't allow me to type unicode SMS. Did any body test to send unicode SMS using zSMS software?
Thanks
Try using Simple SMS V5.0 (For WM5 & WM6), and you may find your luck, depending on what type of handphone you are using.
Well, I still prefer Indovisi SMS but I am having the same problem with you.
Let me know if you find any better software too..
Hi all
I love the PointUI interface and particularly the messgaing applet mod written by alien.
However, unlike other WinMo device users when I use the messaging applet I cannot see the body of any emails. SMS work fine, but the email bodies are missing.
HTC and Omnia users report it working perfectly.
I've tried both the Xperia panel version and the standalone version but no joy.
I have my emails located on the Storage Card through registry modification and wonder if that's the problem. But then surely it wouldn't find sender and subject either.
If anyone has this working on an Xperia please get in touch.
I love the rest of the applet and this is driving me crazy
Thanks in advance

I have a Raphael for which I've ported the HTC TP2 6.5 ROM. I using the Raphael's 6.1 Ezinput keyboard since there is no VGA version that is not ported. Anyway, when I go to enter a name in the sms recipient box, both autocomplete boxes for the HTC keyboard and the MS SMS box come open and the application either exits or freezes causing me to soft reset. This only happens in the SMS function and not in email or other messaging apps. I think it's probably just a registry fix, but I need some help here.
Hello,
I'm quite new to the Android family. I bought an HTC Magic.
I use it and it's all fine. I used to send SMS in Greek. Lately when I try to send an SMS in Greek, the keyboard is only in capital letters and they don't receive it correctly but in strange letters without make any sence. Does anyone know how to solve it?
I searched some solutions such as virtual keyboard but it doesn't work.
Did you apply the official HTC update with HTC Sense? That fixes some Greek sms issues,
other than that 2 things. First, check any apps you've installed since the problem first appeared secondly I'd install handsent SMS (that does support greek chars and works perfectly)
I hope this helps.
I didn't do anything with HTC Sense. I searched the net and found an HTC page . I check that they have the version 3.05.401.3. I check my mobile and it has the 3.05.401.3 CL#98222 release-keys (I don't have a clue what's that).
I don't think it's the apps I installed. I restore the phone to the factory settings and tried to send an SMS. Still the same problem.
I installed Greek IME but I feel it doesn't work well. When I click send, the SMS is still in the box and I think it doesn't send SMS.
Do you think that if I do the HTC Sense thing, it will work with the SMS?
