Is there a program, that when run, makes the device vibrate?
I need the program (to be run on schedule) as a silent reminder
this is a program vibrate on touch
when you touch the screen the device vibrate
to turn it on just click on it
and to turn off click on it again
oh thanks, but thats not what i'm looking for, looking for a program (or script) that makes the device vibrate (for about 2 seconds or pulsing a few times) when you run the program, so that vibration can be scheduled (by a different program)
Silent alarm?
Uh, why not just make an alarm and set it to vibrate but have no sound?
because i need vibration to reoccur every 15 minutes, activated at some days
a alarm have to be shut of, and doesn't reoccur at minute interval

You need to search for a profiler. One that you can set up days you want a certain profile to be active and other days you don't. Then you can create your every 15 minute appointments on that.
You can use mortscript for that. The command is "Vibrate(<time in miliseconds>)".
So "Vibrate(1000)" will make your device vibrate for 1 second.
Thanks a lot

Available in this thread .
i have a mortscript code to vibrate the device each hour
you can modifit to vibrate .......times
or use this one (made by me
There is no help file , but if you run the program without any arguments
you'll see how to use it.
I can also mentione it here :
Create a .ink with '\link\to\ngVibrate.exe' 3 50 100.
Phone will vibrate 3 times each for 50ms with a 100ms pauze
let me know what you think, be gentle it was my first application
hmm
I can really see my wife installing this and getting some real use out of this....
especially touch screen and it vibrates... makes the prospect of going to work a whole lot more interesting for her
thx for this, perfect birthday present for her

there is two scripts
1st file bell.mscr to run the script (this vibrate the device every hour from 8:00 am to 00:00 ) and you can edit it
2 nd file stopbell.mscr to stop the script
this run when the device still off its good for battery life

Yeah, I miss the 2h and 8h option too, it was there in 2003SE. I don't know if we can change this, though...
Some kind of problem her, and more ;
Don't you all hate the itsybitsy tiny buttons on the reminder ?
It's hard to select "snooze" while driving your care, and even worse to set the "snooze time" to 10 or 15 minutes.
a 5 Min. snooze is rather useless te me if i'm driving....
So i'd option for a total replacement

Vijay555 made something for this for WM2003SE. Search in the forums or on his homepage.
Hidestart, yes i know.. but it doesnt work, at least not on my Himalaya
Hidestart isn't on my webpage, it was a research beta that I stopped developing because there is an issue.

Don't you hate it on WM2003 when you've got 5 reminders pop up, but no time to deal with them all immediately, eg press snooze 5 times etc? However, the reminders block all access to any other program.
So HideStart had a feature to let you move reminders, not snooze them etc, and bring them back when you can deal with them ("ghosting"). Hidestart also remodelled reminders to be easier to use with your thumb (FYI code turned into VJBigPhone). However, reminders have a "feature" where they will always steal the focus to remind you that you have reminders, even if they're hidden.
Anyway, I'll explain further later, but just again, FYI, VJOkButt now features a super duper version of reminder ghosting. I'll report soon, I'm playing with the beta now.
I don't know how we can reformat reminders on WM5. On VJSihaya I intend to do this in a nice way, but on the standard OS it's difficult to represent the info in a nice way. Although, I have an idea - perhaps we can monitor when a reminder balloon comes up and show enhanced, enlarged soft keys. That code will grow out of VJToggleToday... eventually

I have tried searching for this but not been able to find anything, so sorry if it is already covered elsewhere.
Does anyone know how to disable the auto rotation of the screen that happens when you go from laptop to tablet mode?
Thanks in advance
Sam
It has been asked before, and I know how to do it, but I have to get a little time to write the app. It's quite an easy app to write, just time is unavailable to me I need a time turner.

I would have thought with your 1337 5k1llz you would have at the very least had your own TARDIS lol
Nice to see Pratchett references popping up all over the place =)
I thought I saw something here about an app that was already created, except that it made the Universal totally ignore any lid motion, so closing the lid would not put it to sleep. I can't remember what thread I saw it in... I thought it was Vijay who did it, too. Hmm.
do you really have to go through all the trouble to write a program for it or is there a simple reg hack to take care of this?
There's a little of both. It's a driver hack, but combined with some registry.
I wrote the other program also, can't remember what it was called now, for maintaining control and enabling the Universal's external keys, but it had a limited release of 1 guy trying it.
Then I got distracted for 6 months, having a baby

Any update on this? I would like the auto rotate to still rotate but into landscape mode the other way up, as opposed to portrait mode, if you see what I mean
Disable auto-rotate
Hi Vijay555,
Any luck finding the program?
Would really appreciate it mate.
just in install vijaylumix 2. click on enable extra brightness than switch power off. After that autobrightness will be disabled and screen orientation will not go automatically works just fine hehe

So back to the drawing board.
Actually isn't there a program that sets selected programs to start in either landscape or potrait view?
Try re-launching VJLumos I/II/III to disable.
vijaylumix? Dude, what kinda weird sounding pseudo-romantic idiom is that?
VJUzumaki has been re-written. The nega/positive side effect of VJLumos is unexpected but useful. But VJUzumaki will disable rotation and provide a whole shebang loud of new features.. coming soon.

umm, if I recal you can remove the magnet from inside the casing, that makes the screen auto rotate
I'm working on bells and whistles (ie features!) for VJUzumaki, so hopefully shortly into the new year.

what is the status of VJUzumaki, or has there been an alternate fix found for this problem?
Thanks

CallCapturer is an alternative to the WM callID screen, written in C# CF (so you'll need .NET CF 2.0 or above) for touch screen devices.
CallCapturer will start as silent, and will appear when you get a call!
History
0.06 Has caller picture functionality, and hopefull works better...
0.05 Actually works! (in theory at least)
0.04 No longer full screen - fixes an issue...
0.03 Change of call discovery method.
0.02 Release with nice UI
0.01 First release as beta
Planned updates
Video ringtones?
Caller picture
Thanks to MarcLandis!
Source Code available here
Use it as you see fit, so long as you put my name some where on your release!
Does not work on my HTC 6700, restarted PPC and your call screen shows, I hit the end button and it goes in the background. Call myself and the WM CallID shows not CallCaputre

Hi has anyone managed to fix this app yet?
Hi,
I just used a text to speech engine to create these files it's a British female voice.
Regards,
AJ
We still need someone to fix the app so it could actually work lol
This app works only when phone power on, and all settings always back to default after exit.
installation?
This extracts as an app and not as a cab or a an exe. Do I just copy this across and it will run? Is it operations on 6.1?
Okay.... this now has me annoyed.
Every night at Midnight my Blackstone wakes me up by switching itself on and shining it's bright screen in what is a very dark room.
If left to it's own devices, after it's obligatory 1 minute of inactivity it then shuts down.
However, I normally turn over, pick the bloody thing up and turn it off....... and try to get back to sleep.
It's annoying the hell out of me ~ especially if I've had a bad day in surgery and I'm totally pooped out.
I've checked to see if there is anything running and Activesync has been given the Fake Server trick (which I'm happy with seeing as I've been doing it on several PocketPC's over the last few years).
So.... what do you think is causing this guys....

My Touch (Elf) does this too. I assume it's just part of Windows Mobile and not the fault of the TouchHD.
This is why I go to sleep with the device face-down.

Unfortunately I can't leave the device face down as the alarm is set in a way that when you turn it over it terminates the alarm..... Thus it has to stay face up.

I have the same "problem" even without all day event reminders.
The phone wakes up every day at 23:59, and then does nothing...

It might be a paging request from the network operator - to confirm that the phone is still on and available....
from galarm's web site:
"Windows Mobile has on some devices a strange behaviour: Although an alarm is successfully added to the WM notification queue (it's like a scheduler) it doesn't go off.
Searching the web gave me following information:
At midnight WM rebuilds the notification queue, therefore it wakes up for about 15 seconds. If the notification queue is too big or the device too slow WM goes to sleep again before it could finish building the queue for the next day.
If you force WM too stay awake for a longer time, it should successfully build the queue on at least more devices."
