I would like to start trying wm6.1 and htc cube but i want to back up my current rom.is there anyway to do that? or does anyone have this rom or a place where i can get it?ive tried many forums and even o2 website but all the links seems to be broken..

It's been listed in the "All Polaris Rom's" thread, but I cant seem to download it, and I want to get this ROM before I start using Cooked ROMS.
Anyone know where I can get it from? XDA FTP for some reason does not work.

Its to be found on the xda-dev ftp, but it happens to be ITA, Italian...

I dont know why the search just isnt appealing to anybody. The term "german backup" gave 8 results, the 1st was bepes ROM, the second was "All ROMs collected", then on third place theres the HardSPL thread and finally, the fourth result is labeled:

As I said, you will not find it...you can only download 2 older versions....

Yeah I'm also looking for 1.28.405.3 WWE. I've got 1.25.405.1 from the website, but my Polaris came with 1.28.405.3 and now after flashing a new radio, it's gone bonkers. I restored the old radio, and restored the original spl, and even hard-reset, but no luck.

I think that this ROM is better than UDK R9.
Video playback is much better. But both ROMs have one bug. TCPMP don't work. There is also one small bug with battery and screen settings. You can't set anything, but works OK. When you install this ROM you must also install new radio ROM, Polaris Radio_1.59.42.15 extracted. Camera will not work with older radio ROMs. And this radio ROM is much better than Murata radio ROM, which was best till now.

Yes in English, PDAVIET. Diamond Clock,....My opinion, best English ROM here. This ROM is WITHOUT radio ROM.

As an opening and heartfelt comment, I appreciate the ROM cookers out there. They are very skilled and have taught me much. I still have a very long way to go.
This post is a genuine attempt at a reality check, however.
There is healthy competition between the various ROM chefs and this is how it should be, of course. In order to differentiate their product, it appears to me that they are wandering into the no-end-in-sight abyss of adding more and more extraneous stuff into the ROM's ... I mean programs such as HTC Home that we can add ourselves with a simple CAB installation if we want to (yes, I know that such programs compressed into the ROM at compilation take less space than later installations)
But the list of extraneous crap in these ROM's can now take up a full screen - and I don't want almost any of it. Worse, a considerable portion of these "added" programs are freeware that are subject to periodic upgrades ... which you cannot then install because the earlier version is in ROM.
I'm currently using an swtos ROM 20273.1.3.3 because it has the least amount of junk in it that I can find. I tried pk's brilliant cut-down ROM's but QuickGPS will simply not work with them.
A comparison of swtos 20273.1.3.3 and this latest PDAVIET ROM 19965.1.2.3:
nbh file size swtos 43Mb PDAVIET 69Mb
free ROM/free RAM from soft reset (I do not permit customization, if I have to have that crap in there then I prefer it stay compressed) swtos 160Mb/60Mb PDAVIET 139Mb/48Mb
On a bare-bones soft reset I can find no appreciable difference in responsiveness between them, just an unnecessary consumption of resources from PDAVIET.
I should like simply to re-engineer the ROM's to remove what I do not want (oodles, actually) but at my quite embryonic ROM-cooking skill level I am unable to overcome the "all commands to one" compression used at ROM compilation.
Is this ROM in English or some other language? The screenshots look english, but the site is not. So I am not sure.
