i flashed my polaris and it works, i cant find anything new and i dont think its any faster/ slower

Some dlls and programs have newer revision and the radio is new!
SPL Version is 1.28.0000
i public soon the extracted radios for polaris and later soom modded! this is a garbage from my work! i try to enable FM, GPS and Wifi on HTC Nike!

i dont know but the screen seems to draw a bit faster when i start the device fom standby.. it might be just because i want this though

If you don't have any other reason to flash, you don't need it. Maybe the radio is a reason.

I installed this rom and then installed bepes rom that has no radio and now i have this roms radio with bepes 6.1 mobile ..very nice no problems till now

I'm trying to find this ROM:
Original / official shipped 1.25.408.1 HTC ROM from xda-ftp
Base: 1.25.405.1
Radio: 1.58.21.23
SPL: ?
Original shipped ROM with radio 1.58.21.23 included.
It's been listed in the "All Polaris Rom's" thread, but I cant seem to download it, and I want to get this ROM before I start using Cooked ROMS.
Anyone know where I can get it from? XDA FTP for some reason does not work.

There is no 1.25.408.1, only 1.25.405.1....

Its to be found on the xda-dev ftp, but it happens to be ITA, Italian...
Besides that, there is:

I dont know why the search just isnt appealing to anybody. The term "german backup" gave 8 results, the 1st was bepes ROM, the second was "All ROMs collected", then on third place theres the HardSPL thread and finally, the fourth result is labeled:

yeah! that's one device every 3 month's or so!

at this stage impossible to tell. the only way to tell is: bit by bit compare radio .nb files in both packages.

This is alot smoother that the other 1.28.457.2 and yes. it has a murata radio. Looks like there's some kind of driver update as camera and video are somewhat smoother and responsive.

maybe he means that its smooth to be a official rom....
Ill dump it tomorrow and recook it, remove spl and other useless crap..
then we'll see if its anything

It's a WM6 and not WM6.1 rom.

oem drivers are the same as first original release.
I spend no more time on this crap.
All we need is a new DDI.DLL (like kaiser's).

Murata Radio is genuine in RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_SEA_1.28.457.2_radio_sign_25.69.30.05_1.58.25.14_murata_Ship.exe ROM and is not the same as of in other HTC_WWE_SEA_1.28.457.2 ROM posted before.
Infact Murata Radio contain code to support both older nad newer Murata components. So it safe to apply to both.
Since majority of Murata based Polaris handsets are originated / sold in Singapore, it makes all sense that SEA ROM is Murata enabled.

Have tested it also. Seems to me that it has a little better clarity as far as recetion goes in comparison to the original Murata. Crystal and clear voice on both ends.

Hello! My Polaris was sent back from the repairing service with this radio ROM version: 1.58.25.21
You are talking a lot about this Murata Radio ROM, but I don't know if it's recommendable to replace my version with that one.
Does it improve some feature? I think that mine is more up-to-date.

Noob Needing Help With Rom Flashing

Hi all
been on this site a while now and with 02 stopping the download of there official 6.1 release it has forced me to look elsewhere,
I have looked online here and decided i would like this one,

I knwo i will need to install hard spl first, the main quetsion was that this says that no radio come with it,
Do i need to find a radio rom? or will it use my existing one?

From my minimal experience, I think that the ROM will use your existing radio. At least this is what happend to me when flashing ROMs without radio. As a suggestion for radio I say the 1.59.42.23 version. I see better signal.

If you don't flash a new radio it will use the existing one.
Normaly cookers say what radio they recomend, i'm using myself 1.59.42.23 with good results.

after some tinkering and playing i now have Hard SPL installing and the Syrus R4 rom installed and it works lovely!
Now im looking at upgrading my radio to Polaris Radio 1.64.08.21,
Ive donwloaded the file and and now just pondering how to run it?
Do i just run ROMupdateUtility.exe ?
that would the file i would run but wanted to check first!
Also this wont affect the syrus rom will it?

Hi,
Radio 1.64.08.21 is not compatible with latest WM 6.1 ROMs, if you flash it you will not have Camera and phone working correctly.

What would you reccomend to be the best verison for it?

1.59.42.15 or 1.59.42.23

The best and most compatible radio for cooked Wm6.1 is in my opionion 1.59.42.23!
1.64.08.21 is NOT the newest one - don't wonder about the higher version number - it was portetd from another device!

I have now downlaoded 1.59.42.23 radio,
if it doesnt work can i always revert to an older radio rom?

also does anyone know what radio the official 02 xda 6.1 relase has since i think i have them at the momnet,

Okay guys I just got a HTC phone recently from Dubai and I live in India. I downloaded the HSPL for my HD 2 and currently my ROM is 1.48.488.1 and Radio is 2.05.51.05_2
I would like to know how to upgrade my ROM using HSPL.
Help would be really appreciated.

Read the stickys in the ROM Development forum.
Look here it tells you everything. Try to use the search function to find the answers to your questions, this topic comes up too often and people will usually flame you for not even looking at the stickys in the relevant forum.

Really sorry for posting in the wrong section but I did check that thread and that's how I learnt how to HSPL. What I don't know is which version of ROM should I get? I did check the various threads and there I found some official ROMS. I would like to know whether the official ROMs will work on my HD 2 using HSPL.

If you have HSPL installed you can use any offical ROM, but you may well have to be mindful of the radio you have installed, flashing an incompatable ROM/radio combo will not do you any favours. T-Mobile US devices use a different radio than the international devices so flashing a US ROM without having a US radio will lock up your device.
Are you planning on flashing a custom ROM, or official ROM from your network provider?

I am currently downloading the official ROM I found in one of the threads. It says 1.66 - Test Rom (english).
This one to be precise - "World Wide English - TEST rom (WWE) 1.66.405.1 - Direct Link"
Is it ok and will it work with Radio 2.05.51.05_2

Have a look here, I don't like the sound of a 'Test ROM'. Your radio will be compatable with all of those 1.66 ROMs.

I see a more later version of ROM there. I would like to install 2.02 version of ROM as I guess it would be the better than the 1.66 one and hence won't require a lot of updating. When I click on the 2.02 version, I see only 1 link inside that folder. Should I just click on that link for the download to start? And what about the radio version? Is my radio version okay for the 2.02 version?

i should stay away from 2.02 too. in fairly sure that too is a test ROM. u think it even has a watermark.
if you want the latest, why not go for the tmous 2.13 rom?

So which one do you suggest I should download?
I mean are you sure 2.13 will work with my radio version?
And one more thing, when I go to 2.13 ... it says 0 files in the location?

You will have to update your radio to use that ROM. It's a T-Mobile US ROM. I am not too sure if the radio comes bundled with the ROM when you flash an official ROM as I only flash custom. But to be on the safe side flash a radio from here before you flash the ROM. You need to make sure the radio is a 2.07.50.27 NOT a 2.05.51.05_2. It doesn't matter what radio it is aslong as it's a 2.xx.50.xx and not a 2.xx.51.xx, .50 radios are for T-Mobile US ROMs, which is what the 2.xx ROMs are.

I think I will download Radio 2.10.50.8_2 ... I just have to click on the rapid share link, download it ... run it and connect my HD 2 with WMDC to install the radio right?
Also, please suggest how to get the 2.13 rom as there are no files in that folder.

To be honest, if you are going to flash a ROM, I would probably advise trying a custom. That 4shared link doesn't seem to have many decent 2.xx ROMs. I am not too familiar with official ROMs and which is good/no so good.
I am very biased toward Energy ROMs if you click my sig it will direct you to the page, there are many other fantastic ROMs about Artemis is another. Custom ROMs are lighter and much faster than stock ROMs and are obviously installed in exactly the same was as the offcial.
