I've got english ROM but would like to be able to use some other dictionaries (in addition or instead of...) like norwegian and/or swedish.
I've been searching this forum for "add xt9 dictionary", also under other WM6.x devices like Diamond but have come up with nothing useful.
It seems like HTC Diamond and others use "eT9" dic's and the registry keys referred to does not exist in X1
HTC= HKLM\Software\Tegic\....
X1=HKLM\Software\XT9 Input Method\...).
The only regkey that exists in my X1 under XT9 Input Method is "IMEmode=0".
- Anyone with a swedish ROM that could check their registry settings here?
- Does anyone now of a way to add or change xT9 dictionary on X1?
- Anyone with a swedish ROM who could send/PM me the "mssp2.lex" file located on root in folder "Windows"?
I have the Swedish rom, i also only have IMEmode 0 there.
OK, if you have the swedish ROM you also have the swedish dictionary. Could you pls copy and PM or e-mail me the "mssp2.lex" located in folder "Windows"?
Anybody with a swedish ROM who could send me the "mssp2.lex" file located in folder Windows\ ??
If so, pls pm me and I´ll send you my e-mail address.

I'm not sure but this site might help you?
Thx for the reply but it did not hlp me solve the problem. The thread is not applicable for Xperia. Neither of the mentioned registry keys are on the Xperia.
However it did help me in realizing that the *.lex file would not solve my problem sinse it apparently is only applicable for spellchecking (?) and is not used for the predictive text input appearing when messaging (?).
...so the question is now back to what the thread says: how to change or add a xT9 dictionary to Xperia??
Looking through some other threads for other (HTC) devices on this forum most of them refer to a "...Tegic\eT9..." path in registry which also does not seam applicable for Xperia.
All I have in registry is HKLM\Software\XT9 Input Method\IMEmode = 0.
Which files controls xT9 ??
An up for this problem... I am unable to change the dictionary used by the hardware keyboard. Actually I have Jack ROM, but would like to use my own language dictionary... any useful idea?!?!
Hello!
Just bought myself a Touch HD and ofc installed one of the nicely cooked roms to replace the original one. One question though, can you add a T9 dictionary from an original rom to the cooked one? Would like to have swedish T9-dictionary and since they aren't included (and I understand why ) I would know if there are any chance of adding it myself afterwards.
Tried to use the search-function but don't think the forum allows a keyword with only 2 letters (T9) so hope you guys can help me out.
Hi there, I am a blackstone user, which is pretty faster writing with the stylus (for example; using the letter recognizer and the transcriber) than with any digital keyboard.
These input methods are commonly removed in cooked ROMs (I understand it is not just plain discrimination, as they seem to be incompatible with the HTC new keyboard ). It is why you need to use third party software: calligrapher, penreader, official windows transcriber...
In the latest ROMs, however (Duttys R5, Miris 9.1 or Energy) I have incompatible problems with all the these programs...
I wonder if anyone could tell me how to correct the following bugs OR point me to any third party program that works OR tell me how to successfully activate the transcriber and letter recognizer.
These are the bugs:
Calligrapher: In duttys and Miris roms when you use it for the first time... it gets crazy... auto writting continously... In Energy it only works in some programs
Penreader: it does not recognizes the writting (in addition the ink seems kind of transparent
Transcriber cabs: they are not recognize as an input option.
Thanks in advance for the help!
P.S. I tried to install third party keyboards (fingerkey, EZInput) and uninstall the HTC keyboard to check if the transcriber was recognized... not sure how but I black-out my Dutty Rom and had to Volume-Hard reset it.. That's when I decided to ask for help.
P.P.S.S What are the LEO input options? doesn't it have an stylus???
Oh please!! some user of these great ROMs must have managed to get a decent stylus based input!
P.S. Thanks for moving the post.
I can confirm the software "Mobilewriter" works on Dutty Rom. It is similar to the letter recognizer. However, it is not that smooth... Has anyone succeded at configuring it better?

Are there any custom roms with transcriber and letter recognizer inputs enabled? I use these as my primary input methods but I can't find any roms with these enabled. Does anybody have any suggestions? Perhaps cabs that can be installed to enable this? I love my hand writing recognition I don't want to see it phased out!!

I'm looking for an answer to this also! These options were available on my Fuze with NRG's great ROMs, but since I got my TP2, these options are missing. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks for the Cab! However I cant seem to get it to work! It asked for a reset for installation to be complete, I allowed it and cant find it anywhere. I thought i was going to have the transcriber as an input option. correct?
Solved: Transcriber input method missing
The Transcriber.cab as provided above is a very old one (dated year 2006/2007). HTC now provides a HOTFIX for all those using a Rhodium device. Please follow the link:
http://www.htc.com/de/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=250&cat=0&dl_id=822
This will lead directly to the download page (german language) for the HTC Touch pro 2. It works also realy fine on a mda vario V. After fixing the device You will get additional Input Methods. It is (german version) "Transcriber", "weit. Eingabemeth. (=more/additional Input Methods)" and you can find here "Letter Recognizer", "Block Recognizer"
You can modify the language by the input field "select country"

Look for a program called SIPChange. I used it to get to use the old keyboard.
hi guys ,
i just want to ask about the transcriber (the handwriting recognition) , why is it missing in the coocked roms ???
i flashed two roms from here and they were amazing but i really need transcriber .....
if there is any rom with transcriber here plz give me the thread link
and thank you to all ..............
Cooks do not include it as it takes up space, and only a few people use that. There are cabs around that you can find and install. If not, use stock ROM.
Use search link in my sign to search. There are zillions of transcriber cabs out there...
I installed Transcriber ..
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...c3-2eee-41e3-9339-f7b303f4b386&displaylang=en
And true 6.5 roms do not give you the option of choosing transcriber from the optons menu ..
However if you find transcriber.exe in the windows dir .. you can run it and it does work !
So I made a link and added it to the startup dir in windows and it works just fine now
Just a warning .. if you change to the full or compact qwerty it closes transcriber and you will have to restart it to make it work again :/
However if you open the keyboard it will switch to the keyboard layout
and back to transcriber .. without restarting transcriber
Give it try .. Worked For me !
thanks guys
can anyone lead me to a cab file for the transcriber ??
is this what your looking ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1281616&postcount=3
