I have looked over quite a few threads and have yet found an aswer. I have been wanting to know how can I fix my phone. For a few days I have been getting error messages saying "Error can't save to file" or something or another. Bototm line is I can't save pictures from e-mails. I've tried the soft restart and shutting my phone down completely. How can I fix this?

My Wing just started doing something very wierd. No matter what I do I always have this phantom unread text message sitting on my phone. I have deleted all my messages from all of my boxes (inbox, sent, deleted, etc.) and I still have this indication that I have 1 unread message. Is there a way to reset this via a registry entry or something, or am I just stuck with it until i finally change ROM's or something similar?
I had this problem, except with a phantom unread email message (twice). I put up with it for a long time, until I ran across a program called fixunreadcount.exe.
You could try a search for it. If you can't find it, let me know and I will upload a copy. I have no idea who gets credit for it, though.
I should also point out that I had a little trouble getting it to work - had to soft reset a couple of times....
Good luck!

after i finished sending an SMS, the deliver receipt comes back but at the same time the phone hangs suddenly (i found it hangs frequently, when multiple applications running simultaneously)
so i did a soft reset, boot back, and see an empty message showing as the 1st one in the Message tab... (like attachment, no name, no content)
it just wont go away, even if i received new messages it stays.
if i select Menu->Reply, it behaves composing new message
if i select Menu->Delete, nothing happens.
the Menu-Forward option is gone.
any ideas?
the topic's a bit confusing...
i should say just one of the SMS is totally empty..
i doubt that it's caused by SMSDRFix..
anyone experienced similar problem before?

What is SMSDRFix??
Hi there. Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am experiencing exactly the same issue, but would like to avoid a hard-reset if possible.
Thanks for any advice!

Hey all together,
my Android was working very nice for me the last few days.
But this morning I bootet Android and right after I unlocked my SIM I got an error called
“android.process.acore was forced to terminate“ or something like that. When I press Terminate, the same error pops up a second later. I cant do anything anymore in Android because this error always pops up.
Is it possible that this error has something to do with broken contacts. I imported contacts yesterday and theres a field called “notes” or something like that in google contacts and this is filled with strange tokens.
I read something that this error maybe could have something to do with this, how can I repair the google contacts if i can't do anything in my Android?
Some1 else also got this problem and found a solution??
I’m really clueless about this atm..
Thanks in advance!!

i'm sorry but my experience is that you have to reinstall android completely. i never could fix these errors... and i never found a thread where someone posted a solution for fixing these errors!
you are right: in 99% this error comes from broken(?) google contacts - this happened to me when my battery is running out while android is still running.
you could try to delete the contacts online from your computer and start android again (i guess you can't get to contacts on android since the error pop ups all time!)
ok, i can't find a known fix. however I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8608622&postcount=8
this fix is pertaining to "contacts" specifically. my error happens with launcherpro. i can't get past that dang error screen.
the error occurs everytime i switch to new build but keep my data image file. all the chefs say that's all you have to do to keep your settings and data. but this error makes me have to start everything from scratch. any help would be appreciated in identifying the disconnect and solving this.
I recently installed the Axura 2.1 rom on my phone and it has been working great but I have started getting a "Content Not Supported" error when receiving some texts. Its not all texts but for some reason some just wont go through. Even simple messages containing just text is causing the error. I believe it is related to the length of the text message I am receiving, as if its not properly being broken up.
I am having a hard time trying to find an answer for this problem both searching this forum and the web in general.
Anyone else have this issue in any way?
So my wife's Aquos has just started exhibiting FC when opening messaging threads that have MMSs in them. She is also not able to send MMS. The error displayed is "Cannot store MMS". Receiving new MMSs results in the error "Cannot download".
I've tried the following:
1. Deleting all threads (no change in results)
2. Using 3rd party messaging apps (No FC, but cannot send/receive MMS)
3. Using Hangouts for SMS/MMS (Same as (2) )
4. System reset (MMS will work for a while, but eventually things will go back to FC/ No MMS)
It seems something is corrupting the db, and nothing short of a System reset will fix it - and the problem recurs.
Since there is no root access on this phone, does anyone have any ideas on another fix we can try? Doing a system reset every single time is annoying and not really an ideal solution.
This is a Sprint branded phone. Don't think it's an APN problem, as right after the system reset, things work.
Thanks in advance.
This is a known issue from sharp, I've tested this and Sharp's fix is odd, but it's to change the lockscreen to none, restart and change the lockscreen back. I'm a technician with sprint and I had someone with this issue and that actually did fix it.
Try this ##72786# then click OK. The phone will restart and reprovision. You will not lose any data. Somehow the APN settings got corrupted. Mine did this two weeks ago.
Thanks! Fortunately, I have not seen another occurrence. If/when it does occur, I'll try both of these out and post the results. I appreciate the responses.
