Developer Needed - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Is there anyone on here that would be willing to take on a small project with me? I created an iPhone Style Dialer Skin here a couple weeks ago, and need some help with the next step I'm trying to do with both the dialer and a weather program, if its possible. What I need help with on the dialer taking the TALK button on the KEYPAD section of the dialer and switching its place with the CALL HISTORY button is, and also a very small button replacemnet on the STATUS screen. The skin I made is for the Jimm98y dialer. I take no credit in the creation of this dialer and thank Jimm98y for his terrific work. This dialer is by far on of , if not the most stable and (working) functional dialer out theere. There are so many requests for an iPhone style diale that doesnt have any bugs right now , myself included I figured this would be a nice hold over until one of the truly magnificent iPhone style dialers , like Nargz, or Dcx's get the smal kinks worked out. On my Vogue , all current iPhone style dialers lock up when switching between call status and the keyboard, and from what I've read this is on a lot of other ppl's phones as well. If someone is willing to help with getting these buttons switched around please tell me. Ill tell you about the call status screen too. I will supply all the graphic files for it, and aslo have the smart dial and redial function working. This dialer has so far worked on GSM and CDMA phones, and there haven't been many problems reported at all. I believe it would make a perfect iPhone style dialer. So any help would be greatly appreciated by myself and hopefully many others. Anyone not able to do the changes, but is still interested in the dialer ,please show some support and share your thoughts. Again thank you for any help.
Also need the same kind of help with a weather app. I have a skin thats similar to Freestyls Weather app , but again need 1 or 2 buttons moved/swithced.

Dialer skins... redial not working?

Hi all,
What am I missing here? I've used three different dialer skins (right now I'm using a version of the big-button one), and the "redial" button on the bottom right of the screen doesn't seem to work.
I'm talking about the button that (in most versions that I've seen) has the phone icon with an arrow pointing away from the phone, to the right.
When I bring up the dialer, it says "Last call: xxx-xxxx", so I'd like a way to dial that number again with one touch instead of having to go to the call history, which is what I have to do now.
Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.
you need to be more specific about which dialer you are using, there are many. Have you tried just hitting the "talk" hardbutton, after pulling up the dialpad. It redials the last number on the screen for me.
If it doesn't then you should try Paul Hammon's big button dialpad for mogul over at pdaphonehome.com. every stock functions are retained, including smartdial and redial.
i tried multiple skins and ran into that same issue.. literally 20 skins easily.. i tried paul's skin and all my questions were answered.. the skin works flawless and I personally love it.

I am running into the same issue with tons and tons of different skins...such as the standard iphone, retail iphone, eten, marshall, and lots of other ones..... REDIAL just DOES NOT WORK!! I am sure everyone is experiencing these issues.
have we figured out any solutions yet?
The first reply was correct -- all of these other skins are based on a non-sprint dialer, so some things don't work (like redial, but more importantly, 911!)
Use Paul Hammons Touch dialer and it'll be fine. It's just as skinnable, with the only down-side that I've seen thusfar that the contact picture is slightly smaller.
I have a dialer skin that everything works correctly, including # codes. Search for Mogul Big Button Dialer. It is an improved version of the Kaiser skin.

This is the same Paul Hammons dialer that Skatsev spoke of in the previous reply. The original thread is on pdaphonehome.com
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6800-xv6800/91652-sprint-native-big-button-dialer-theme-here.html
for those of you who want a different dialer skin other than the default one on the phone, and you don't like paul's version, there is another skin that i found on xda this morning that works perfectly on the mogul
it allows the use of the codes as well (example ##778, etc...) and doesn't mess up your emergency 911 dialing either.
I didn't create this. i just dl it this morning on my way out the door and ran it on my phone while at work today. personally, i love it.
Give it a shot.

This was discussed in numerous posts above. Please read through this thread again.

like i said, if you want ALL functions of the stock dialer (redial, 911, ##functions, Smartdial, etc., etc.), you have only two options that i know of: Paul Hammon's dialer from pdaphonehome.com or the stock dialer itself.
If you want to prove me wrong, then please do extensive testing before posting it.
If you look through the thread on pdaphonehome. com concerning Paul's dialer, you will realize within that dialer, there are other "skins" available to make it look like the Touch dialer, etc. There are also instructions on how to skin the dialer yourself to some extent. I knew nothing about skinning, and I was able to create my own skins with that dialer including using vista-type 3d icons and iphone icons. Skinning options are limited on that dialer, but they are there.

Req a dialer or mod to wm dialer

I have done much searching across xda and the web and have still yet to find what i am looking for. I have a diamond and like many people i disabled the HTC dialer due to the ring delay.
I have been using the standard wm dialer. I am quite happy with the incall screen this provides but i am unhappy with just one aspect of the dialing screen. I like the smart dialing feature and use this all the time only ever using "contacts" for sms. BUT I find that sometimes it is difficult to select a name from the rather small list above the keypad. I dont see the point in the dialed digits being displayed so large as they do not need to be selected with a finger. I have therefore been looking for a way to reduce the size of the dialed numbers and increase the size of the contacts in the list. Couldnt find any tweak to do this
I did find a program yesterday (cant remember its name now) that displayed easily selectable tabs in place of the small menu items sadly twas qvga only and develpment had been stopped years ago. I have looked at using alternatives such as phonex ect but these come with incall screens and call history lists ect which i dont need or want. All i want is slightly larger menu items OR a simple dialer screen only, no incall screen ect but i would like it to look nice tho.
Does anyone know how this mod could be made or of any app suitable? I've attatched a screeny to give you an idea of what i mean
Thanks Guys and Gals
I'm interested too

[REQ] large dialer with smart dial?

Is there a large dialpad similar to idialer but with smart dial (so spelling out a contacts name will bring up their number) ? or even a way to enable smart dial?
iDialer here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2694308
or something similar to the minimal dialer here:
http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Skins/Minimal-Dialer-64089.shtml
but doesnt use the diamond phone canvas as a base (because of the issues with wm6.5 & the just stupid amount of ram the diamond phone canvas uses)
currently i'm using the gorgeous Ryon dialer skin here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508920
but the buttons are to small
Anyone know what dialer this is and where to get it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1336681&postcount=41
Seems to be what i'm looking for
looks like an old version of inesoft try here
http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=phone.html
You can try Yota Dialer (search here), except it's a little buggy for me.
thanks for replies guys but Innosoft doesn't seem to have smart dial otherwise was good and ya yota is just a bit too buggy (not to mention it takes up as much space as the regular htc dialer)
anyone else have suggestions on a large button dialer with smart dial?

There isn't one really.
I've been looking for the same solution for a while.
Put a request for a developer here instead. I'll put my hand in for the graphics.
iconsoft phonex has smart dialing and a large keypad, I think the latest version uses a lot less ram too a simple dialpad similar to that would be great to replace the small wm dialer
Maybe o3touch brings what you want? See http://www.o3touch.com/
phonex is not bad but when receiving it interferes with the windows 6.5 lock screen, otherwise it was actually pretty good, had smart dial n everything
o3touch seems to be a keyboard not a dialer so cant really comment on that
i came across a really good 1 but its incomplete, its here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437296
its a VGA touchflo 2d dialer, the dial screen is perfect with smart dial and good buttons, as well the incall screen works great.
forgot to test out how it works with an incoming call and the wm6.5 lock screen (though it probably wont work that well)
but the big killer for this is that its not finished and in wm 6.5 when using smart dial the contacts all wash into eachother and become unreadable (the names will just constantly overlap eachother so its unreadable)
anyone know of a dialer similar to this but JUST the dialer, the incall screen is nice but not a big deal but any kind of custom incoming call screen will just screw with the wm6.5 lock screen
i've seen a boat loads of dialers for qvga (minimal dialer being really good) so their has to be something similar for VGA, or if their are any developers who could make 1 for 6.5
its the same dialer as 6.1 but because the lock screen already has slide to answer built in and an incall screen built in we only need to skin the actually dialer itself
and of course if anyone has a dialer they really like please share

Phone Dialer Screen Issue

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anybody else has encountered this issue, or is able to give me some advice:
Looking at the attached pic, you can see that the call history button and video call/phone call switch button is overlayed (red circle). When i press this button, i get the call history come up each time. It does not allow me to make any video calls. I do have a camera on both front and back panels and video calling is enabled...it is just that the dialer doesnt allow this. I tried installing 3rd party dialer skins to replace the standard HTC one, however, i just get the same result.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
It looks like you installed an HTC 'fix' which causes this. They came out with a fix for this 'fix' just go to their site and downloads section under Blackstone.
Thankyou for your help. I could not find the fix on HTC website but after some googling with the key words hot fix and phone dialer (thank you for that) i found the solution at the following webpage:
http://www.slashphone.com/htc-touch-hd-hot-fix-needs-a-fix-084062
Cheers You were a BIG HELP ! Thankyou.
