Cingular 8125 unlock question - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

To unlock the 8125, do I need a cingular sim card to run the lokiwiz unlocker and get the unlock code? I bought a brand new phone but I don't have a cingular sim card. Help!

I believe so. You should be able to find a pal with a Cingular (AT&T will also work) SIM, though. Short of that, they do sell pay-as-you-go SIMs.

Thanks! I'll start asking around.

Nopes ! you don't require any particular SIM to get your phone SIM unlocked.lokiwiz will automatically SIM unlock the phone, regardless of any SIM in it.Thats why, after SIM unlock you can insert any SIM of any network .

In Windows XP you can simply start ur phone without a sim and when it says insert one use the stylus to hit the start button then choose the today screen and when activesync asks for a connection cancel it to be a guest.
the first thing you have to do is downgrade to the button rom for ipl and spl 1.05 which is required to unlock the phone at all.
before downgrading you should hard reset your phone to make sure the flash takes effect properly.
to perform a hard reset you hold the com manager button and the voice button both on the top of each side and right below the ir sensor is the reset button which u will hit with the stylus as you hold both buttons then while still holding the buttons the screen will go black and ask you to hit send to reset.
then after flashing to the button rom open the explorer and copy over the enablerapi.cab to a folder u can find it on the phone. then find the file and open it to install.
now u want to extract the lokiwiz to ur c: drive for easy use then u go to the pc with a connection to activesync as a guest and open up ur dos command prompt.
type cd\ then hit enter then type lokiwiz and hit enter. you firt hit u and enter for sim unlock then when ur phone restarts get a guest connection and type lokiwiz in command promt then type c and hit enter after this your phone should be fully unlocked.
also you have to install wm5 before moving to wm6 otherwise your ipl and spl will not update and problems will ensue. the best way i find is to flash down to button rom then upgrade to tmobile 2.26 rom which is very stable and from there i end up with farias the real thing wm6 rom or tnt 1437 wm6 rom as its stable and runs smooth. this is all up to you and what you need to do with your phone based on what rom you run. most of everything you will need is in the unlocking guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435

if you get stuck in boot loader for any reason u can flash from there without any problem as long as your in windows xp. also if you get a flash screen that wont load into windows and it keeps restarting hit reset under the ir with ur stylus then hold the camera button to re enter boot loader. from there you can reload a rom you know works such as the button rom

WOW ! LOL

How To: Revert to Windows Mobile 2003

Whats needed:
TyphoonNBFTools: http://w1.whatcounter.com/dlcount.p...yphoonNBFTools_0.3_SPL1010064_SPVServices.zip
Any Official Rom (I used I-Mate SP3 WWE).
A Typhoon running Windows Mobile 5.0.
Reverting Back:
Run TyphoonNBFTools and Open the SPL1010064.nbf. Right click on SPL in the bottom part of the screen and choose Emergency Flash. If this is the first time you have used the program you will get a prompt on your phone to run the runtimes. Choose yes. Click OK to flash the new bootloader to your phone. Next disable Activesync by turning off USB connections. Turn off your phone. While holding down the Camera button insert the USB cable, the phone should run the bootloader and you will be presented with the tri-color screen. It should say USB in the bottom corner. Now run Mtty and choose USB connection. Hit enter in the blank white space. You should now see Cmd>. Type "info 2" without the quotes. You should see some information about your phone. Next type "format BINFS" agains without the quotes. This one is case sensitive. You should see format complete or something along those lines. Now close Mtty and re-enable USB connections. Run the exe from the update you downloaded and follow the instructions. Your phone should now boot back up to WM2003.
For those stuck in bootloader mode you will need to run mtty and reflash the wm5.bin to the phone then follow the steps above.

Man! Can't thank you enough for this. I took my phone to the service centre, willing to pay for the repair, and they could not do it. Every thing works fine now. Very good manual, clear instructions and correct info!
THANKS!
Hi
I Am Trying To Follow The Procedure Mentioned. But When I Right Click On Spl I Am Not Getting 'emergency Flash' Active.
Can U Please Assist Me Regarding This
You need TyphoonNBFTools.dll installed on your phone. Try running TyphoonNBFTools and selecting Tools->Immediate Flash Tools->Test Immediate Flash. It should automatically install the required stuff for you. Check you phone when you run the program. You should get a prompt to installed a program from unknown publisher. Make sure to choose yes.
Stuck in bootloader
Just trying to do this following my question here.
I though it was going well but I have a major problem now! I managed to do the emergency flash, but every time I boot I just get the tricolour bootloader screen (IPL 1.00, SPL 1.01.0064) and can't get any further. Any ideas please? I have tried using mtty to load wm5.bin but get the error "MTTYDownloadImageNot allow operation!"
I have also tried re-doing the "format BINFS" and doing the above again but still no joy.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!
maybe u need to make a "goldcard"
my feeler (o2 xphoneII) lives again after flash with goldcard.
I can't find a way to create one for Typhoon, can you point me in the right direction?
I try flash Amadeus = Qtek 8100 with UpdateTool from Qtek 8310.
Update process stopped at 74% , and UpdateProgramm closed.
Now my Qtek 8100 not Powered ON , and can't enter in boot mode (tricolor screen) with "Camera" button hold + USB cable conneting.
PC don't see any USB devices when I connected my Qtek 8100 to USB port.
I think I erased Boot loader in my Qtek 8100 (but not sure).
Is any method for repair ?
WBR !

Help me fix my wizard and I'll give you 10$

Okay I'm having problems with my wizard.
It freezes at the splash screen.
It won't hard reset "Format is Failed"
And flashing billions of roms does no good.
Here's a solution that's supposed to work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276963
but your device has to be cid unlocked wich mine aint.
And I can't unlock it with lockwiz, because it won't start up.
I could use imei-check, but don't want to pay 40$
If you follow the instructions in the link above and send me the minisd so I can reset my wizard, and it works, then I will return your minisd with a 10$ check.
Leave me a message if your interested in helping.
But, because i don't want a billion people sending me blank minisd cards I'll only pay if it works. If it don't I will still return the minsd.
Please help a guy out.
Thanks.

I faced the same situation with my wizard..The only solution is to pay the 40$. If the device is not CID unlocked it can not boot using the sd card.
I unlocked my phone using imei-check and then my wizard worked like a charm.
It is simple: If you do not pay for the CID unlocker your WIZARD will rest in peace for ever..
Have you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294107
Maybe your SD is to blame. Try it without the SD and you may get lucky. If it works I would format the SD card before rebooting the phone.
Okay so i just realized it has to be cid unlocked even to back it up from the minisd.
So does imei check work with phones in the U.S.?
Anybody know?
bootloader?
what version of the wizard do you have? (what does the ipl/spl stuff display?)
try holding the camera button down when starting up to enter the bootloader, then connect the usb cable and flash.
Good luck!
Matt
1.Download the original/official WWE ROM from your provider's website
(you may need to register the phone with the provider online to be able to download the ROM- usually the phone registration and official ROM download is free)
The WWE ROM allowes the device to be reflashed - even if the phone is CID locked.
2.Connect the phone to any XP machine using USB
3.Start the phone in bootloader mode (3 colord band with IPL/SPL in top left and USB in bottom left will be displayed)
To start in boot loader mode -->Press and hold the camera button, simultaneously press the soft reset button with stylus.
[Soft reset push button is located in the middle of camera button and infrared port (close to infrared port)]
4. Re-flash the phone by running the dowanloaded ROM from USB connected XP machine.
Hope this helps.
I earn 10 pound men
I have your answer BUY A NEW ONE!!!!!!
hahahahaha
Like ungry dogs huh?! 10 pounds .-.- 10 pounds
If you can get your phone into the bootloader(hold camera then soft-reset), you could try to flash it with:
ftp://xda:[email protected]__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
maybe that will work, if its flashed successfully you can cid unlock your phone, good luck.

Issue of Using Athena Unlocker

ATHE100
SPL-V1.20. Olipro
and it unlocked Step 2 "Unlock Radio"
after the Step 2 there was a Notice popped up "Your Device must now be unlocked with a program, please configure your device and then connect and sync with Activesync. after doing so, click OK and watch your device screen"
and My phone stop at HTC loading screen, not able to boot to "Window Mobile" system. I did reset phone many times but didn't work.
Please Help Me Out here~~ Tyvm
p.s: I can still boot the phone to bootloader 3 Color Screen
please help me
Your device is okay. You can already proceed to flashing any ROM that is desgined for SPL 1.2. If you want just a good looking ROM, you might want to try PK3.0 ROM. If you want WM6.1, try irus ROM.
If I'm you, I'll skip any rom that uses SPL3.5 for the time being until you're sure there is a mean to come back to SPL 1.2. This mean you should skip AP4.0 for the time being.
To flash one of the SPL1.2 based ROM, remove your storage cards and SIM cards, and ensure your battery is close to full. Then get into Bootloader mode (by pressing down the Camera and poke into the reset hole - hold it down for a good few seconds until you see the tr-colored screen). Then connect your cable until you see USB on the device screen. Then on your PC, start the RomUpdateUtility program and follow the instruction on the PC.
Good luck.
Thx, man! U Rock!!
Just flash the phone with PK3.0 Rom~

T-mobile Wing Unlock

I found this on another forum, Im about to try it out now just letting my wing charge.
"''T-mobile Wing Unlock
Just if your firmware version is HTC
Downloads Tools
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3SL9ST2J
The method used is a little bit risky, because it involves flashing a special version of the radio stack to perform the unlock, but if you follow the instructions properly everything should be fine.
Note that the unlock procedure requires you to reflash your Universal. Although the unlocking procedure itself should be safe, you are advised to take a full backup of all device data before use.
1. Backup your phone (not necessary, but advisable).
2. Remove your SD Card.
3. Enter bootloader mode on your Phone. To do this, simultaneously hold down the backlight key (“bulb” key, next to volume key), the power key and soft reset the phone. Your phone screen should clear, and you will see very faint writing saying “serial”. Let go of buttons etc.
4. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB lead.
5. Run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe program – this will reflash your phone with necessary software required to enable the unlocker.
6. Wait patiently.
7. Once the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe upgrade completes, soft reset your phone by pressing the soft reset button on the back of the device [if the flash has been successfully applied, you should see that you now have Radio version 0.00.00]
8. Allow your phone to reboot. Once it has, connect to your PC using Activesync, and copy the UNI_Unlock_v1.exe program onto your phone. Alternatively, copy it to an SD card and insert into your phone.
9. Run UNI_Unlock_v1.exe on your phone. Wait patiently.
10. Once the process completes, soft reset your phone.
11. Process is complete!"""

could you tell me some suggestion about how to unlock htc_t-mobile wing, because i still no clear about this. anyway please send me some pictures solve this
regarding.
If you would actually read the thread, or just my last post even, you would see that this is not intended for the wing, and I do not reccommend using it because it could destroy your phone.
THERE IS NO FREE SIM UNLOCK PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR THE WING
That being said, here are your options if you want to get your wing unlocked:
1. Call T-mobile customer care at 1-800-TMOBILE or 611, as for the Smartphone/Pda department, and tell them you need your phone unlocked because you are going overseas for a week and you need to be able to use a foriegn sim card in your phone. They will email you the code in 48 hours. This only works if you have a T-Mobile account in good standing for at least 90 days.
2. Pay to have it done. That's what I had to do, because I don't have T-Mobile anymore.

Yeah, it doesn't work because it's not for the wing dude. Its for the UNIVERSAL. buzz_lightyear is a moderator here who developed the unlocker and buzzdev is his site, linked in his signature. The Universal is NOT the wing, and the unlocker for it will not work on the wing. You aren't doing anything wrong, it's just not meant for your phone. See the original xda thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=266758

It has nothing to do with being cheap. I don't think anyone should have to pay to have it done.
I totally agree with you man, I think it's totall bs, but they kinda have us by the balls here. I looked for MONTHS for unlocking tools, but there simply are none for the Wing/Herald. If you ever find anything let me know.
how much is it to unlock the Wing?
There are people around here on the forums that will do it, but I don't personally know any of them, and I don't get a guarantee either. I took mine to a local cell phone shop that I trust and had them do it. It cost me about $40, and it was worth every penny.
