i am thinking of buying a touch dual.
but i want to know if sending an sms is just as easy as with a smartphone without the touchscreen.
for example on my tornado without touch i can send a new sms by scrolling down and then press twice to the right, press the right button and i have a new sms.
to see and reply to old sms's i just press the joystick and i get a list.
is it this ease with the niki, or do you need to get out the stylus to send a new sms?
You can use the keypad to send the SMS. T9 or just old typing will work. You can also use your stylus
sending should not be the problem.
i would really like to know if you have fast access to sms and new sms, or if you need the stylus for access.
you dont need to use the stylus at all you can access them with a few touches on the screen.
either press start and messaging or the message count on the home plugin, then it depends what screen your messging was in last time you closed it,
i took a look at the niki in the store.
as soon as you slide open the niki, it gives you the option of sending a new sms, without having to go through the entire menu.

Anyone know how i can have a send and recieve button (shortcut) for getting email?
now i have to open the pocket outlook and then go to pop and then press send and recieve,
this handling is dangerous in a car on the highway i can tell you by just using your fingers instead of stylus
so i need a Big icon or just AN icon wich opens the email and goes into the inbox

Do you know if there is a simple way to send to many people with one click an sms?
Does the capability of group contact exists? how?
Please advice.
try going into contacts and make it display the group you want to sms
so you can do that in the left corner of the contacts window
then you open your keyboard and press ctrl + A
then it mark all the contacts being displayd
then you tab and hold on them giving you the option list
then you choose send sms
or what ever it's called
then you get a sms msg window with all the nr.'s
Its nice. I try it....the downside, is not usuful with forwards, but is better than nothing.

I have htc home installed. I love the way palm threaded sms works, but it gets really annoying at times. is there any way to set it up so that when i hit the text button on htc home it opens JUST my sms inbox, and when i hit the email button, it opens JUST my email? right now, it opens the main messaging window, as well as the text or email window whenever i hit either of those buttons.
also, when palm threaded sms is installed, my text message inbox opens itself about every 10 minutes on its own, does anyone know how to stop this?
if not, does anyone know of another sms program? the one that comes on the mogul is really slow and ugly, i dont even care if its threaded, i just want something faster and possibly better looking than the built in one

Load up your emai/sms ap, menu -> tools -> settings untick "display account picker"
well that solved the problem of it opening the picker, but it created another problem. now the email icon on the htc home plugin just opens text message inbox as well. is there a way to set what those buttons open? Also, is there a way to delete this "Outlook E-mail" account?

Did anyone find a trick to ask for confirmation before sending a SMS ?
While I am in landscape the send button is too close to the keyboard, and it happens that I press send instead of a key.
So my SMS is uncomplete.

My warranty has expired.
You lost your touchscreen or what? I think we cant do that. You can write your message, but you still have touch you screen to send it.
you could map any hardware key to the left and right softkeys (say the mail and the Internet hardware buttons). Do a search for hardware key mapping applications such as AEButton Plus. Just an idea. Hope this helps.

try it with the navigation buttons or button green phone symbol..!!! Good Luck
