I have a MDA Vario II (HTC Hermes) with Schaps 3.57 Rom, and it works great
Is it possible to MDA from the standby with another key as the ON / OFF awaken?
It would be fine if there is a button would be easily accessible.
To know who is a tool or solution?

Before buying an MDA Vario II I was using a Pocket Loox 720 with Windows Mobile 2003 - and enjoed the almost instant startup time. The startup time of my MDA Vario II often is annoying, especially if I want to use the PDA's electronic pocket dictionary faster than a book.
Are there any methods/tips/hints to decrease the startup time of an MDA Vario II?

Hi.
I have small problem with my MDA(Hermes) and GPS receiver.
Everything works fine until I press Power button on mda to switch it in standby mode, and Power again to switch it ON.
After that I don't receive data from GPS. I have to close COM port and open it again. I tried on all available com ports and virtual com too.
On my previous MDA VARIO (HTC Wizard) I could do this.
I used this to save my gps track. With mda in standby mode battery last much longer.
MDA VARIO II, Windows 5.0, ROM 1.21.118.4, Radio 1.05.02.00

I can keep my headset on all day now without it disconnecting. The only problem is that the backlight doesn't come on when I press my headset button if the phone was off for a long time. But it's easily "pressed" on.
Plus, I'm not sure about L2TP1 or PPTP1, I just set them that way because I've been pulling my hair out for over a week.
I did this with a fresh boot with the roms in my sig, from the Blue Angel standardization project. And thank you Buzz for clueing me onto the flags.

Is same touch screen (digitizer) in this look same machines??? Can I order digitizer from QTEK 9100 and it will be work corrently in T-mobile MDA VARIO???

You can use same digitizer with these models: Qtek 9100 / I-mate K-JAM / MDA Vario / O2 XDA Mini S / SPV M3000 / Cingular 8125 / T-Mobile MDA / Dopod 838 / VPA compact II.

So from qtek 9100 works fine in mda vario ??? I ask coz guy try it in mda vario and it doesn´t works, but now i think it was another prob not only in digitizer

Qtek 9100 is exactly the same phone than Mda Vario. Only difference is just a brand.

I am not sure, coz somewhere i read somethings about first and second generation of lcd. With a gold and a black flex.
PS: Thats all is coz guy(A) i am buying from him wrote me he sold digitizer(from qtek9100) another guy(b) with MDA Vario and it wasnt work. Maybe guy(B) had any differnt prob. In friday it will arrive. so i am glad
