Is there a program or plugin that will allow a one step click or something easy to do a reverse phone number look-up of a number in your missed calls.
anywho.com
it would be sweet if someone who is a programmer could write an app that will reverse lookup the number (using anywho.com) and then automatically populate the info into your contacts. like the address and stuff
Some one can do it ???

its very annoying to redirect the phone to another number by options/redirect/ask for settings and tap on all calls.
has anyone found an easy way to do a redirection?
having a contact number with the code number is not working as i get a reply that codes cant be sent through a contact number.
??????
Can't VJ's Phonetools (dial from a shortcut) do the trick for you ? Together with Mortscript for example ?
Hey,
Does anyone know if it is possible, through the supplied T-Mobile 2.26 ROM or third party software, to create custom contact fields? For example, say I want to have one contact called Papa John's Pizza and inside that contact have three fields named Anytown, Springfield, and NYC each with a number. As it stands now I have to either make a seperate contact for each location or have one contact and make each location say home, work, and work2. The latter choice makes it near impossible to remember which number goes to which office. I have many contacts that have multiple numbers that do not fit neatly into the supplied fields. On my old S60 phone this was quiet a simple task but I just can't seem to figure it out on WM5. Thanks for the help.
You can use IneSoft Address Book to add custom contact fields. The extra fields will be save as Note.
To mark a phone number you can put the text inside the phone number itself. E.g.
Work: +123456789 (Springfield)
or even
Work: Springfield +123456789
where "Work:" is the field name provide by Contacts application. You can use any character that can't be dialed (e.g. not a digit, * or #). Though some letters may cause problems, e.g. 'p' may mean 'pause'... I write my comments in Russian and therefore has no such problems
I use this solution for a long time. It is not specific to an OS or application.
And yes, IneSoft Address Book is good, not only for additional fields! This was the first application I purchased for my TyTN.

This would be really neat if Voice Commander 1.6 would recognize it, but it doesn't.
Is a very very simple application that allows users to send sms by certain voip accounts...
Its my first app running in a PDA and i hope you enjoy.
TvMSmS_v0.2.rar
simple but lots of potential!
I must say, i like it a lot! there is also someone else developing something like this, his name is skandler. his app has some nice extra features, but i like the fast startup of your app, and the use of standard contact list.
do you see any way to integrate (hook) into the normal sms send subroutine?
also, it would be nice to call the app from commandline, so you could make a shortcut to send to specific people.
sender info doesn't work.
hi,
i found a small bug, when you use voipbusterpro.com, and you enter your correct number in your "from" field, the sms you sent has your login name instead of your (verified) number. i don't know about other accounts, i only use voipbusterpro.
other than that... it's fast! and simply works!
Hi thanks for reporting it.
Bug fixed and url updated...
Even the small apps have the rights to have their bugs
I already thought to put the app running from contact list in a append menu, but im starting with c# /sdk 6 and my knowledge of this is very small.I will keep looking and see if im capable to do that.
country code bug
Hi there,
i found another bug. when a contact already has the phonenumber in international style, your app still writes the countrycode first and then the number;
so you get +31+316.... in the case of a dutch number
You have right again
I will put a function to check if the number already start with + char or something.
thanks for your reports
As we see a very small app could have a lot of bugs (blame the coder )
Phone number with international code will ignore country code in conf...
always "Network error"
other IP SMS tools work & also any program that needs GPRS or 3G. Only TVMSMS fails.
Any ideas?
When "network fail" error appear is something about you configuration( he cant make the request to your voip account).Could you tell me what is your voip provider that you are using in software?
Thank you for this great app
Is the app available elsewhere as the rapidshare link is broken.
My goal is this: I have an external database with (company-) contacts as a SQLCE database. Since there are over 1000+ contacts in that database, I don't like the idea to 'load' all of them in my outlook. So when there's an incoming call I check if it is an outlook contact, if not I like to search the external database (by phone number) and create a contact 'on the fly' (NOT to be stored in poutlook!)
I 'detect' a new incoming call like this:
private SystemState _phoneIncomingCall = new SystemState(SystemProperty.PhoneIncomingCall);
_phoneIncomingCall.Changed += OnPhoneIncomingCallChanged;
This works like a charm. In the OnPhoneIncomingCallChanged method I check if the (new SystemState(SystemProperty.PhoneIncomingCallerContact)).CurrentValue is null. This too is working Now I would like to 'alter' the PhoneIncomingCallerContact with a contact I lookup in the other database using the incoming number. I imagine I should create a new contact and 'rethrow' the PhoneIncomingCallerContact.
The "OnPhoneIncomingCallerContact" function in the dialer should be triggered and the 'altered' contact information displayed.
Key question: can I create a SystemState(SystemProperty.PhoneIncomingCallerContact) "State and Notifications Broker" message?
And off course if so: how to do it in C#?
Another approach might be to 'unhook' the default phone application, get the incoming call and 'hook' the phone application back when I decide to take the call or reject the call?
Again: Is it possible and how to do it in C#?
Your help is appreciated...

Ok this is a long shot but I'm hoping someone may be able to answer this question.
I need to know if it's possible to develop an application to replace the native sms messaging facility in Android (I would like to know if it's possible on other platforms too but I use froyo on my HD2)
according to GSM technical specification http://affon.narod.ru/GSM/GSM0340.pdf as long as the SMSC supports it then it should be possible to set the TP PID to create replacement codes in an SMS.
This allows you to send an SMS to someone with a code set and then send another message to them with the same code. The phone should recognise the same code and overwrite the message.
There are already ways that you can do this using a GSM modem and SMS gateway software such as Nowsms, Bulk SMS and Kannell etc. There is plenty of information on google. however these all require you to have hardware and send the messages from a computer.
The question I have is, would it be possible for someone to develop an app which allowed the user to specify if the sms was sent with the code set, directly from the handset?
Thanks in advance!
Just a bit of additional info from the nowsms support forums
“PID” – Specifies a protocol id field to be associated with the message. The web interface of NowSMS includes checkbox settings for specifying a “Message Type” value. Setting one of the “Replacement Type” values means that if the gateway sends a subsequent message with the same replacement type value, this will replace any previous messages that were sent by the same sender with the same replacement type value. When submitting an SMS message via URL parameters, replacement type values 1 thru 7 correspond to settings of PID=41 thru PID=47.

Also it seems like it may be possible, at least on winmo
