its very annoying to redirect the phone to another number by options/redirect/ask for settings and tap on all calls.
has anyone found an easy way to do a redirection?
having a contact number with the code number is not working as i get a reply that codes cant be sent through a contact number.
??????
Can't VJ's Phonetools (dial from a shortcut) do the trick for you ? Together with Mortscript for example ?

When my XDAII receive a call it does recognize the number but strangely it does only link the number (any number) to only one contact in my list.
I tryed to delete this contact to see what happens but it link witha nother but use it along for all calls.
Can you help me?
Thanks

Can you dial a number by tapping it from your contacts list?
In some cases yes in others no, this is because in some numbers there is the area code that the XDAII does not recognize because we use 011 here in my country. If I clear that the number can be dialed from the contact list.
So, are you saying that when you receive a call from a phone number which is properly formatted (for your phone to dial it) in your contacts list, it still won't ID the correct number? Remember, it is a simple pattern matching algorithm - it gets a call, looks in your contacts list for a number formatted EXACTLY as it receives it, and displays that contact.
I followed this logic but it wont work to explain what is happening
Hi All,
Great site!!
I have 2 questions:
1 - When I use smart dialing from my hermes I use the direction arrows once I have found the contact and choose the work number of a contact that has an extension as +1 (999) 999-9999 x 9999 I then get a dialog saying "Invalid entry, please try again."
This same entry dials fine from speed dial or dialing from contacts, any suggestions, it's a real pain to manually dial the whole number.
2 - I have my numbers in outlook 2003 and they are formatted with the +country code format, so all numbers have a + in front of them.
When I smart dial, I can't see the last number of the phone number it only shows
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxx
Again it's really annoying as the only way I can find the number is by dialing and I usually use the smart dial to find a phone number when I am looking for someone's phone number.
BTW I have tried to edit the number and remove the + but outlook put's it back. This is actually good when travelling.
Thanks in advance,
I apologise in advance if this information is somewhere on the site, I am not lazy and I did read quite a bit before posting.
ROM version: 2.15.502.3
WM5
on my outlook, I have the phone num , ext and the phone will dial and wait for pickup before dialing the ext.
of course, i am not using the country code feature, so...
I would be happy with that behavior.
If I could change the font to be smaller in the phone application at least I could see the whole number.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi,
sometimes I want to dial a code and append a phone number of a stored contact.
Result should be like this (only example):
#31#phonenumber
But when I type #31# there is no way to insert a stored phone number.
What can I do? Thx for help.
I am surprised - from my point of view it is a very basic feature of mobile phones.
There is no hint or soluion?
Nobody else with this issue?
I remember that
You could use VITO copy paste to solve this problem.
Thanks for the first reply .
have read about your recommendation. Using VITO copy paste requires follwing steps (if it works in the dialer of TouchFlo):
- Open a contact
- Click to edit the contact (to get an textfield)
- Copy the number
- Open the dialer
- Write the code
- Paste the number
Hmm, no easy way to choose a contact directly from the input field of the dialer?
Hmm, Than im afraid cant help you further..
Alternatively you could manually hide it ( Start/Settings/Phone )
But i think thats common knowledge for you
However, there does not seem to be a chance to use this basic feature.
I asked once more in Rhodium forum and got a very good tool as workaround:

I have searched and searched trying to find a fix! (Sorry if this has already been asked, i could not find what i was looking for)
On my HTC Ozone when dialing a number i have to enter the area code for the contact to show up on the screen.
On my old WM phone if i dialed XXX-XXXX it would auto change the number XXX-XXX-XXXX when it dialed.
for some reason the ozone does not add the area code. I have checked the default area code and it is set to 405 (which is Oklahoma) and still does not work!
Any help would be great!!!!

Click to collapse
It wont show up if you are dialing within the same area code. Also make sure your area code is enclosed like (XXX) XXX-XXXX
I am unable to find a valid solution for this problem. I tried using Fusion Voicemal Plus 2 on my Leo but when I activate the call forwarding number from the app. to retrieve my Voicemails a + sign is automatically prefixed to the number. I have tried adding the number manually but WinMo or Sense adds my country prefix to any number that I add. Is there any reg tweak or setting on the device that will disable the automatic prefix. I have Googled, searched Windows Mobile site, this forum & the registry to no avail. Maybe I'm using the wrong search phrases. I would be obliged if anyone knows how to get around this & could advise me. I have also contacted HTC & Fusion but if there is a solution to this problem, this is the place to get it first!
Thanks in advance.
