I have an idea for a program in PPC phone.
-I want to use one ppc device and two bluetooth headsets.
-With a program i want to talk from the one to the other headset. (image two people on a bike going for a trip and not talking for 2 hours).
I'm talking something like walkie-talkie but not with two devices but two headsets and one device.
Is it possible ??? ...and i'm not talking something like [email protected] program because it needs 2 ppcs.
\Thank you
Would you have enough range on Bluetooth to do this?
(image two people on a bike going for a trip and not talking for 2 hours)
I think that is less than 5 meters.

That would be the greatest idea for motorcyclers (means me 2) . I'm waiting for just a confirmation if it is possible... of course having program would be much nicer...
good idea
is it possible to travel with your mates with your bikes and stay close in 10 metres range ??
with my mates every time we go somewhere we travel with speeds round to 160-260 klm/hour....
you think is safe to stay close in an othere bike with theese speeds??
i dont think that is a good idea
check for something like this
http://www.alan-germany.com/lpd/lpduebersicht.php3?vid=1273936179
with hands free each one and with working range up to 2000m
or theese with range up to 15miles!!

but we are asking for a tool to communicate with your passenger, that is sitting just after you .
To talk with another bike I think the WIFI connection would be more useful or even GSM (GSM is probably not possible to programm).

ok then check this out
http://cart.alantrade.co.uk/index.php?p=product&id=121&parent=25
i'm talking allways for an extra source of communicating with passenger and with an other bike..
but if you have a wife isn't a good idea talking with her...and on bike
The whole idea is to use one PPC device and two bluetooth headsets. Just the program to open a communication channel between the two headsets like the "bluetooth router v1.05).
I think its not difficult for a developer to create such a program.
I used the "bluetooth router" when i was driving the bike and i had the iGO on.
I was not watching the screen but i was able to listen to directions while i was trying to find a road. That was when i got the idea about the bluetooth communication.
I'm going to drive 160 or 200 klm /h and having conversation with my mate (wife/girlfriend/whatever) but in slow speeds you can speak or make a comment in something you see at the road or even listen to some music.
Its very boring without talking.
Please answer ... THANKS
hmmmm....
...possible with two devices and two headsets, using THIS....
Yep, you would need two devices and two headsets. Don't believe you can communicate with 2 headsets from one ppc simultaneously.
bump...I'm riding,too. It's quite interesting!
Hi everybody,
For this 15 aout I've an idea ... but pearhaps it already exist ?!
I'm a GSXR rider, sometime my wife come with me but only sometime 'cause she can't speak directly with me, she must wait a stop to open her helmet ...
So, my idea that could interest more than one biker : use our pda as a gate between two or more bluetooth hearsets ...
Is it a good idea ?!?
I'am not a programmer, so is someone interest to developpe it ?
could you not just buy a "bike mic" or similar peice of kit??
For those that aren't in the know, it's a handsfree kit (also comes in bluetooth form) specifically designed for bikers. It also has the option to use as an intercom between rider and pillian.
yes I could ! but when you think everybody (or nearly) got a headset... And on a sportive bike like GSXR, the less you are heavy the best you are : you have just the place to store a kinder with his suprise not more !!!
and more, now you can find bluetooth helmet, if you couldn't use your headset when you ride... A friend of mine had think about to buy one ... When he was ride to go to his work, his phone ring and vibrate in his pocket... he thinks he will listen the message when he will arrived 30min later ... that's what he do ... On his meesage it was his girlfriend : "it's for now... back !!!". If he hangup on this call he will be able to assist her girlfriend to deliver his sun ...
Some time, some ideas could change a life ! (that beautiful... but it's not mine ! )
There are a lot of problems with carkit connections & the HD2.
I tried several things to get it working without success.
When I try to connect to the JVC KD-AVX44 it connects but give no sound at all. (making 2 connections, handsfree & stereo audio)
Then I tried the registry tweak mentioned into this forum and had success once. I was very happy because also the title track was shown onto the JVC display and also the phone was functioning ok both ways.
The sound trough AD2P was perfect. Only one time.
After that i get a lot of disconnects.
Then I tried to make only connection with the phone function and this is working ok now. When I want to make the connection trough AD2P then the problem is back. Also when you make it without making the phone connection
So I think the problem lies into the stereo connection. For instance when you skip a track onto the JVC then the connection will be lost and reconect again and giving 2 seconds of sound and then it's quiet again.
Also when to 2 connections exists the phone is blocked by incomming calls because it's thinking it's connected so the earpiece & mic are dead at that time. And also the radio.
Did you try the LineSpeed setting to 256 in the AV key of the Widcomm registry settings ?
Don't know if it could help in your case but it did for me, I don't have disconnects with my Sony headphones anymore and sound is better.
Bluetooth
Ok thx I will give it a try and post the results.
which registry tweak did you applied first, cause i too keep having issues...?
tweak
Change Registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys
Add the DWORD setting COD=5374476
This makes devices see the HD2 as a 'Normal' phone
Do I have to add this line somewhere? I found the AV key into widcomm but the line was not there

Try turning WiFi off on the phone, it makes a big difference on my IO Play system.

Ok i make this in my BMW X5 and one of problems is solved - HD2 working correct when i am on call and power the car, but i have another problem - after 5 - 6 min on call Bluetooth connections is droped and i can't lisen nothing from Car or for Phone - i must to press Menu and switch off Hands free to continue conversation.
Ok but are you also making stereo connection. I only have the handsfree conected at this time and then the connection is stable. Only with the A2DP it goes wrong.

Strange, so far I didn't experience any disconnection.
I have conversations during more than 20 minutes daily and line quality is far better than with my Diamond, with no drops.
With the Diamond I had the BT stopping regularily on the phone, it was very annoying because I always discovered it when receiving a call and not being able to answer.
So far it didn't happen on the HD2, but it is really too soon to jump to any conclusion.
I don't use A2DP in the car as I didn't order the option, which I viewed as useless because the hard disk capacity of the iDrive is sufficient to hold a good collection, the audio quality and functionality is much better and I can still connect the phone to the USB plug as mass storage if I want to play or transfer something from it or any memory stick or external HD.
So maybe not having the A2DP profile active may help also.
I also not any problem with my old HTD HD and Cruize ... but with HD2 i have this issue.
Today i receive answer of my ticket from HTC: they offer me to contact with BMW and to ask them why they not support HD2 ... I think this is stupid becouse every new device must support old protocols and older devices.
Now the choice is to change Car or Phone ... sorry but HD2 not have any chance to survive.

Yes how lousy is that
Got the same answer first, but they realised that BMW coudn't recall thousands of vehicles to do a BT upgrade just because HTC decided to adopt the crapy Widcomm BT stack.
So they say they are working on a fix, but given how many issues there are with this stack, they better switch back to the old MS stack instead.
To be clear, it is the Widcomm stack at fault here, not BMW. Every single phone not equipped with this stack, I could try on the BMW, worked flawlesly.
I hope they will recognise this officialy and not blame the others each time a customer opens a ticket about these flaws.
In the meantime, the registry hack works perfectly for handsfree profile, but it seems it doesn't fix everything when the A2DP profile is activated.

After much playing around - I found a linespeed of 300 works best for the HD2. 256 still has questionable quality and 320 for some reason skips a lot. Reducing it to 300 seems to be a workable equilibrium!
Hi to everybody in this Forum,
Listen this : After 3 months of good job ,suddenly the Bluetooth PAN client
stopped working !!
Generally I used PAN functionality to access a Bluetooth laptop or a Bluetooth
Access Point (Belkin).
I did not install new applications since about a month.
Did anybody experienced this behavior ?
Thanks a lot

Sure, but one the reason I bought LEO was for its BT PAN functionality
Thanks !!
I could be some bug, I would try hard-reset first (yeah, paintful thing) or flashing one of up to date cookers' ROM.
Hi
I have my HTC Touch already 2.5 years, and untill now I've been very happy with it (strong, good agenda, ...)
But since a few weeks, I have a company car (Mercedes C), and I do not succeed to have my Touch working with the Bluetooth.
Problem
- 2 out of 3 times, the sound is horrible (like some parts of the sound are cut away)
- 1 out of 3 times it works perfect
- sometimes the connection is interrupted (during calling, or during standby)
- when I press the buttons of my car, the phone is responding with some delay from time to time (unlike with a Nokia, with that phone it goes flawless)
What I already tried
- I could connect the phone to the car (but it went not as good as with the Nokia)
- could even exchange contacts
- my old Nokia works fine via bluetooth with the car
- I already tried to adjust the incoming sound and outgoing sound levels. No improvement
- I can select the option "serial port" in the bluetooth settings for the Mercedes connection in my phone, but this doesn't help
- handsfree is selected
- I installed the hotfix for dropped calls (no improvement)
Does anyone recognizes this problem? Is it possible to get around this problem.
Buying a new one is also an option, but I do find one that I like within a reasonable budget. So I really want to fix this!
Thanks in advance for your help.
Found the problem by accident. The WIFI is apparently blocking the BT, so it works if I disable the WIFI
now finding an application that gives me custom profiles, would be nice.
you can try G-profile.
anyway, why not just ask your company to give you a iPhone4, they gave you Mercedes C, iPhone4 is just peanut compare to Mercedes C.

Thanks for the hint!
About the iPhone, our mobile phone policy is not that iPone-minded: every year we get €60; with that money, we have to look ourselves for a phone.
And to my opinion, an iPhone is too big. I like the size of my HTC Touch.
