ehi guys! some suggestion to make the shift keyboard retroilluminated or illuminated? in some case is difficult to write on because is very dark this keyboard.
nope, no way to do that. The devices that use lighted keyboards have special keys with a transparent or translucid film that allow the LED's underneath to light up. This film is shaped like the letter you wish to light up thus resulting you seeing only the lighted up letter in the dark. The shift has opaque keys, they woun't allow light to pass over them. Any other option isn't aestetical to do with the shift. try to get yourself an fancy usb flash light or lamp to use with the shift.
i saw on web some kind of fluorescents "couvertures" in rubber material to put on keys, llike those for gaming, but i think that with sliding display is not comfortable.
My very good friend managed to install this into his shift , please see :-
www.myglowkeys.com , cost Usd19.99 for 2 pieces , but make sure u cut properly and patiently before sticking it to yr keyboard ( be warned ! ) or better take it to yr local laptop body laminator to do it for u - they have much more experience to cut and paste for u , just make sure u dont cover the blue icons and certain numbers or whatever of yr keyboard's 66 keys ! enjoy yr shift in the dark ! he he he - jimmunsw .... and so sorry we just found out this product recently .....
See mine & u might do it better

My MDA screen got totally smashed, so I bought a new one and installed it.
While the touchscreen capability is functioning fine, the LCD itself seems to be having issues. I can't tell whether it's a hardware or software problem, but I'm hoping it's a software thing. When I start up the phone (where I see the IPL/SPL screen), the colors are normal. But after that first splash, the phone colors are sort of streaky. Can anybody help?
Normal startup screen (mostly white, but no streaks evident in the grey boxes as far as I can see).

This streaky junk:
Anybody???
A Question!
Looks it like a Shadow?
If you have a Black Screen ... you see a light Grey area? Or Colors like Red or other are on this Point not realy Red?
TFTs have a big problem. If some item press on the TFT. It becomes Shadows. This is possible by damage the Spacer in the TFT Screen ... this are little balls!
Dont put Keys in the same Pocket like your Smartphone :->
Damage like this are imposible to Repair without Display Exchange!
It sounds pretty much like you described, except there's no pressure--it looks like this all of the time.
And this WAS a replacement screen, ugh.
Not to mention, any slight pressure, say TOUCHING THE SCREEN IN ANY WAY BUT THE LIGHTEST, creates a different problem(screen fading to white).
Thanks.
I am having the same problem due to my phone getting a little humid, any idea if there is anything I can do to reverse the damage?
This sounds stupid but is it possible to hook up an OEM iPhone LCD screen http://cnn.cn/shop/apple-iphone-complete-digitizer-p-1863.html to a WinMo device? WinMo6 supports 480x320 correct?

Kind of like hooking up an external monitor to a laptop. Are the connectors the same? Just thought I'd ask. That would be sweet to hook up a iPhone screen to say a Touch board. Then duct tape them together. . Better yet dual screens! Haha.
nice idea !
cool idea, but you would need to write yourself a driver for the screen, unless WM6 is pornographically plug-n-play.
i've just replaced the lcd screen on my hx4700. they are not the same.
even between differen't ipaqs they are all different screen connectors.
fairly sure with the multitouch hardware it wouldn't be compatible without someone with alot of knowledge of this stuff to create something to make it work.
sorry to be a downer.
what would be a really cool idea though is if someone put iphone-on-ppc apps on their x50/x50v, then painted black over the buttons and labels (the DELL, A X I M, X50/X50V bits),
then added a little extension to the top of it to continue outer the silver edge around the whole screen.
then just add a compact flash card that you insert a sim card and it adds phone capabilities to it (i have such a card),
and you'd practically then have an unlocked iphone with a 3.7" vga screen and graphics accelerator, that is capable of running windows mobile aswell (if you want to).
i.e.
>>>
(note - my mspaint skills suck. it probably wouldn't look as bad in real life.)
Probably you would need the controller for the screen (chip) and other stuff... nice idea but not possible.
Dear Developer,
Can Some one help in this:
I own Kaiser and my only problem is Top menu bar cause in pressing the X button or the Task M button on today screen with your fingers ( if its big like mine ) its actually quite difficult coz most of the time you need to use the stylus and i heat use it some time..
so my request is,If some one can do some adjustment in the upper menu in moving the bar little bit to left, i mean add more space..coz the screen in Kaiser its quite down, not like Diamond or some other phone its really Hand touch phones...!
anyway this is my idea, i hope some one can manage to do so..
Screen shot : ( i moved it little bit with Photoshop )

Try checking out this thread. It details how to make the X button wider in a sense, by making the battery icon act as a second X button. You could also map it to a hardware key. Doesn't help with the task manager, but it's better than nothing.

in this case i have to use my little finger
cheers,
is it possible to see at the same time battery status and clock, because there is enough room for both in taskbar?!?
plzzzz when i had moved to cm7 i didn't see the control of the Vibrator in the setings/sound : waiting ur solutoins #___#
As far as I observed, although I do not have, neither use one, all vibrators have the vontrol on that round battery cover, where you are putting the two AAA or AA batteries.
Typically it would be red knob to turn on and modify the vibration of the latex part...
I'm only wondering what this is common part of vibrator with SGS

Have you noticed such thing on your G2 device: when looking at the screen from the RIGHT side, at an angle, there's a color shift, especially when looking at an uniform color background (red, blue). For example - when you look at the red pattern it becomes yellowish at the very high angle (almost flat), BUT this thing doesn't happen when you look at the screen from the opposite direction (left). I have a 16 GB version.
I have attached some pictures and would be glad if you could check it and confirm whether it's present on your device (display/dead pixel test software is helpful here to display one color on the whole screen - like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.displaytester). And also - which model you have - 16 or 32 GB?

This is also present on my device, but i really doesn't pay much attention to it. In real day-to-day use i don't see it. Many reviews stated that there is a color change on G2, so it is an issue for most of people on G2, just some people see it, some people don't.
If you wear polarized sunglasses it's actually impossible to see the screen when in landscape, this and lack of wireless charging are the only two things I can fault on this device and honestly the former is pretty minor imo.
Thanks for your answers, so unless anyone says he doesn't have this issue I think it's just specific to the LCD panel used in this phone.
I have a blue shift to the right and yellow shift or the left. Quirky panel.
