Database Users

Question for new Wing User

Hi,
I just got a T-mobile wing and am looking for resources for it. I had the T-mobile MDA and found numerous great ROMS, Themes, and Software for it on this forum however, it seems like the Wing doesn't have nearly as much.
Does anyone know of other forums that are dedicated only to the wing?
I'm particularly interested in a good ROM. But, I don't really like the 4 I have come across in the Herald thread.

The 2 main roms are :
Touch-IT by ITJE
and
PDAVIET v14 by PDAVIET.net
I used the PDAVIET rom forever, but the new Touch-IT v2.3 is currently the best one available by far... so I'd recommend using it.

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate it. Now if I can just find an x-button program like I had on my mda. I hate when all the programs stay open and kill all the memory.

I asked in the TouchIt forum but didn't get a response. in the forum it says to follow the instructions in the TouchIt Folder. where is this folder?

have you DOWNLOADED TouchIT yet?
if so, and if you open the archive, you'll find a text file that says "HOW TO UPGRADE" ... everything you need to know is in there.

Figured out part of what I did wrong.. Downloaded the attached file PocketCM-0.15 and couldnt find the file... duuuuhhh.. so I have downloaded the ROM. Now what is the PocketCM for ?

PocketCM is an advanced contact list application.
you should try it its very good.

There are two files attached..first one is the CAB and the second one is the OEM package for ROM Cookers (xtrude )

Need CAB Files

Could someone post or direct me to 2 cab files I am looking for?
I am looking for a cab for todayagenda
and a cab for a working MMS program.
I am currently running the latest version of touch it but am unable to get any mms messages, it appears that i can send but cannot receive

i tried the search for todayagenda.cab but just got listings of everytime somebody said todayagenda so i was hoping for a link to a cab file, i save all my cab files so i was hoping someone who had it could post it

Thanks, Porto777. I ran the same search & was directed to the author's website, which was closed. But after searching through the garbage, I found it as well.

If your MMS isn't working after you flashed a new rom, most likely you haven't setup the mms settings in the phone. Search for a cab called KAISER NETWORK WIZARD and install and run for your specific carrier.

[APP]Diamond_PhoneCanvas_VGA(Slide to Answer/Ignore) [2008/12/28]

Just dump the VGA bitmap and dll files from a chinese Diamond ROM[http://www.5dpda.com/bbs/thread-22603-1-1.html]
Cab modifed from phonecanvas qvga version[http://mbarvian.freehostia.com/2008...e-applications-cab-and-oem-package-included/]
Usage:
1. Try the [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] first.
2. If [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch_Eng.cab] doesn't work, try extract [Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.zip] to /Windows of your devices.
3. If it still doesn't work, try the new [Diamond_PhoneCanvas_full_Eng_without_battery_icon.cab]
Notice:
1. Doesn't work on CDMA ROM.
2. You should enable PhoneSkin.
3. Test on dutty's 3.6b Lite ROM.
ChangeLog:
-Remove 0804 mui files
-Change fonts size of buttons during calls

maybe the problem is that we are using stock ROM's. I've found on some other forums other users experiencing this kind of problem, and all of them are using stock ROM's :S

I am using Dutty's 3.6b Lite.
Haven't test on stock roms.

how is the memory usage of this compared to the stock htc dialer?

Well, I found "phcanOverbmp.dll" can't be overwrite during installing.
I am uploading a new cab without this file.

just a recomendation
you can make the porogram rename phcanOverbmp.dll to phcanOverbmp.dll.bak and then place the new phcanOverbmp.dll in the windows folder..after a softreset we can then delete the phcanOverbmp.dll.bak manually

I renamed phcanoverbmp.dll manually, but again can't install. Same error

The new "Diamond_PhoneCanvas Patch.cab" have uploading. Have been tested on dutty's rom 3.6 lite.

I've installed it. Now testing...
EDIT: It's working! Great work!!

Try the new one. My uploading speed tonight is extreamly slow.
So I can't upload more cab file.

Hello all,
I just flashed my rom from Dutty's 1.9b to 2.1.
A thing that grabbed my attention is that the eT9MyWords is no longer installed standard.
I searched my ass off but i can't find it anywhere!
Is there anyone who knows where to find a .cab from eT9MyWords?

Its actually still there, go to your windows folder you will find the .exe for it, I too was searching for this, just create a shortcut link and put it inside the the start menu folder so u can access it in the future
