There are two files attached..first one is the CAB and the second one is the OEM package for ROM Cookers (xtrude )

Hello all !
I would like to know if there is possible to "crack" the HTC applications in order to use on other PDA !
In fact, i have succed to port a wm6.1 rom on the MIO P350/P550, and i would like to add somme HTC apps, like HTC HOME PLUGIN, and TaskManager
Have you some information about this ?

You can download both of those. Google them

If i want to add the oem apps on my MIO, they don't function, because, the HTC apps should be "signed" for HTC !

Well... They work fine on my Asus P535!! Are you sure you are installing cabs instead of OEM files!?

i am using the above OEM package for more than a month and it works great on my Elfin. thats all i can say

You have to copy the files to the windows directory and overwrite the existing files.
First I placed the directory on the device and linked to the program and then I had the same problem.
But since I overwrited the original files it works like it should.
Do you have an oem which it function ?

As if I copy the files are protected
won't work for me too on my elfin
worked on my elfin (T-mobile) while in HTCTOUCHP v1.2 ROM
whether "vibrate" indicator wouldn't turn off

But there comes an error, that the files can't overwritten.

I haven't seen solutions for my problem in precedent threads so :
I can't make appear the image of the new themes I install... always the classic today screen from HTC ROM (HTC Black )
I can install new themes with TF3DConfig (the clock and icons are new) but the background of today screen always stays the same !
What can I do ??

you should search the threads as this has been discussed a hundred times and they don`t like you asking the same question on lots of threads , however the answer is that the background can only be changed by changing the wallpaper in the settings tab. the downloaded theme will either have a wallpaper file to use or use your own favourites.

I saw this advise !
I also saw that this tool can be used with every official Roms... so why not with this one ??? is it only a "legal" problem or is it because the tool doesn't really works with this rom ??

That is no longer an issue. There are many 1.93 rom users who have succesfully installed themes using the config tool. The warning only applies to a few custom made roms.
HTC just realease a new hotfix software to enhance response time.

I allways get one error when starting to download.
Can anyone post here the file.
I wish there was a cab available for this. Don't have active Sync on work computer
You don't need Activesync... just copy the file to you htc and then execute it on the htc directly

well, basically it IS possible. BUT: there are i think two or more developer groups trying to port Manilla 2.5 to VGA and i also think there is some success but it's far from being stable and useable.
Believe me, there are many people waiting for this, but that's all we can do for now. If you want to do something else, support these devs, but it's useless to start this again and again.
Just copying OEMs won't work, coz Manilla, especially 2.5 uses a LOT of files and programs.
I saw the preview about Manila 2.5 , and look forward to becoming more and more. But I know that maybe impossible for diamond. So what I can do is just waiting for the developer
