Hello.
I'm looking for a way to disable auto screen rotation whenever the hardware keyboard is slided out. I tried following the hack instructions posted here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1915731
They don't seem to work with the Titan.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

On the universal when the screen is flipped, the orientation is changed automatically. I want to be able to disable the functionality. Because I am using a car cradle which works on Landscape mode and everytime I would have to change the orientation manually or by running a shortcut.
Can anyone help?
Update: The service called ScreenRotate_Service.dll has nothing to do with the screen rotating. I cannot understand which APIs are called when the screen is flipped.
Anyone?
Try to search in a register, one time i have seen it...
Hi, I have two questions,
1) Is there anyway to completely disable the on screen keyboard? We have wizard, we don't need it? It bugs me alot, I hate that unwelcome keyboard popping out from nowhere. Could any body suggest a way to pull it out from its root?
2) Could there be a way of Powering On the Wizard when we slide it open? That sure seems to be difficult, rather perhaps impossible as no program is working when its off, so no program can actually detect its slide to do some action.. I have no idea... If that's not possible, can we possibly have such settings applied to the wizard that it does not switch screen resolutions when its slide is opened or closed? Because sometimes I make some settings which look good in landscape, and when I slide it close, those settings are either lost, or start looking very stupid in Portrait mode.
Anyone have a tweak to allow a G sensor setting that would always change the screen to landscape when the Tilt 2 is rotated sideways? A good use can be in contacts, where long names are trunkated and opening the slider all the time is a pain.
Thanks, Barry
Try searching for Gyrator, it will allow full autorotate across the board. I believe it even has options to let you choose which apps rotate and which don't
"Changescreen" is another app that does what you want -- I like it. It's lurking around here somewhere...don't remember where I got it, but easily search-for-able.
Here it is

You guys are great. I installed the ChangeScreen cab since I only wanted the simplified rotate feature. Works just great. I missed the manual rotate function I had added on my origional Tilt. Nothing is better than the G sensor rotate on the Tilt 2. Thanks again

I too was looking for a way to manually change screen rotation without using the g sensor however there is (as of now) no app to force screen rotation , if your g sensor is completely busted you will not be able to rotate the screen . try downloading Max protractor from the market and see if you get any feedback in that program to confirm it is the G sensor and not a bad kernel .
Orientation sensor looks like a chip, i see it when i disassemle the phone. And it was broken (physically damaged). If i can find a working one, i try to replace it. whatever...
Yesterday i find a little program, name is "Rotation Locker". It works very well for me. I suggest it...
