Yea! This is a great idea... appreciate if udk or bepe can shred some guides on this
Yes please!
As I said in another thread porting any SYS part from any device isn't a problem, the only problem for me it's how to port a full MSXIPKernel and not only the coredll S000 section.

Hello all. I need help with porting SYS and XIP for BlueAngel. I migrated from Tornado. On this I'm using buildxip to porting XIP. Is this really to use this tool to port XIP for BA?
Thanks.
Hey mate, good to see you around Hope you can get it ported. If so... Ha! I'll be buying another Tornado. I love that darn little phone. My son inherited mine and got another left that needs a new keyboard. Anyways, lets hope Explode, Sun_Dream or any of the other fine dev's here can help you.
I need example WM6.5 (build 21159 or higher) kitchen to learn how porting SYS and XIP for this device.
I'm very happy that I buyed BA, this is very strong machine.

Like I thought after my last post. You weren't looking to port it for Tornado. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Sun_Dream's kitchen for 6.5 is on first sticky thread here. Not sure what build though, Go take a look mate.
I have this kitchen. This is a 21139, unusable for me.

Use the xip/sys from the 21198 build you can find the rom dump at ppcgeeks.com, problem is your gonna have to port the xip.
Where is it dump? I cannot find these...
BTW, it must be from BA, because other dump cannot help me...

Ok so what i gather is it's in the new 2.02 Drivers. That's why it's in my system already I guess.
Because i'm not sur it's the 2.02 driver used in sternas ROM ....
Because sternas don't want answers in PM and public post
Because i don't understand why all chef not share with all (we are chef and not DEV)
Internet is free for that....
I will extract lib*.dll and d3d in the the sternas ROM (hard because protected) and Sharing it HERE
not Module but only dll (imageinfo.bin is protected)
Thx sternas.....

others are the same and do not want to meet there to share ....
it learns by itself
I have been looking around and getting prepared on building a new ROM, have got everything lined up and ready to go except for a way of testing the ROM.
Don't want to test it on my own device for the fear of bricking it. I have come across some people use an emulator, is there such a device for Opal,
Microsoft itself has 2 versions but none of those support 240x320 resolution.
A solution to this problem will be much appreciated.
There is absolutely no way to test ROMs build for opal on any kind of emulator or as such...
The only way to test is your phone.
Hi! I'm trying to cooking a new rom for opal but I have same problems.
1 - How can I put ezinput in my rom? I tryed to put the cab as a traditional porogram but it don't works....
2 - Where can I find manila 2D for developers? the .cab I usually install in wm doesn't work if cooked
3 - I installed one theme, but how can I use it by default?
4 - Where can I find usefull tweaks for cooking?
Thank you in advance for answers!
You have you try it on your device dude. I have done it a million times!!
what are the chances of bricking it ?

Lol, see my frnd if you want to cook roms you must have to test on your device only. So better stop searching alternative coz you won't get one. Plus you will often face bricking while cooking rom but u can fix it by flashing another rom... Though sometimes there might be a heavy damage too.

1 and 2 solved!
Hi all,
i have just bought on ebay an Opal as spare-spare device (and to play with...since i like cooking )
I have cooked for Raphael, Rhodium and Kaiser...and all of them have a native 6.5 nk.exe.
I want to ask if someone wants to share the nk.exe they use with their wm6.5(.x) roms, since i never edited one.
My experiments will lead to a rom that i will publish here on Xda.
I want to hear also suggestions...since i am starting from 0 with this device (i had an Elf 3 years ago...but i remember few things about OMAP processors), i don't know if packages from latest Mega rom will be ok or slow down the device (on Kaiser they work very well...but processor has a double speed).
I want to say an anticipated "thank you" to who will help me
Hi Monfro! it's nice to know that someone new is interested in this device. I too have tried many times to find the 6.5 kernel for opal, but unfortunately it seems that nobody has ever created. I still cook my rom with kernel 6.1 and with oskitchen, but I have many problems... I unfortunately do not have the skills to change the 6.1 kernel... I know that ervius kitchen has a way to modify the kernels, but I don't know how it works...

Thank you for your quick reply.
I will try too to use nk.exe extracted from wm6.1 rom.
From what i can see your roms looks very good...and from what i read they are among the best for this device.
In a few days i will have the Opal in my hands and i will start to play
I myself find more funny to play with older devices like Kaiser and Opal than newer...because with new WM builds and new packages from other devices they get a 2nd new life.
I will try to look also in the Ervius kitchen the nk.exe patcher...but oskitchen is really more friendly
you can start with it:

Thank you.
I already found that thread...and tryed to download the package today...but 4shared was down and i didn't succeed.
I hoped to find a nk.exe modified for wm6.5
I will try in the next days.
I already used Ervius Kitchen, but never tryed the hybrid option with nk.exe from 6.1 and the 6.5 sys.
Domani torno in Italia per 3 settimane...lavorerò da casa col mio pc...penso di riuscire a giocare un pò costruendo rom per l'Opal

Could You give me any hint ? I have always wanted to check like You ( for learning - I work in computer science too ) other XIP and only XIP without new SYS. I utilze l3v5y kitchen for my works and created many different ROMs for myself but because TG downloader does not work with my tg01 I have never enough brave to port XIP. l3v5y kitchen seems to port new ( donor ) XIP without any problems. I checked whole the process but I am not sure that created XIP is in fact good and will not brick my tg01.

i have used ffboys kitchen , on last site of his realse miro posted a good tut how to work with it.

I know ffboy kitchen . In virgin version it has more manual work than l3v5y so I stayed with l3v5y modyfing it a little bit ( added changing page pool and fixing it) .
It seems both kitchens diifers a little bit in XIP porting so I asked You about it.
