I've had my Wing for about a week now. I'm trying to read up on some of the things you can do on it. I came across a post that mentioned being able to listen XM radio on the wing so I was wondering if there was a similar application for Sirius radio. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Hello and Welcome to the forums.
If you want to listen to Sirius Radio, I searched around my computer and came across Resco Pocket Explorer.
You can add URL's to play your favorite radio station.
In the included cab file is the Resco Pocket Radio. It's Multilanguage and a 31-day Trail.
See if you can work something out with this.
And Again, Welcome!
Yeh, if anyone knows a way to get sirius up and running it would be great ive been looking for a cab to do this as well!
Go to your Internet Explorer and search for the URL when you play the online feature.
Make a new Broadcast something on Resco, and copy the URL to the address line.
I think that should work. If not, Post a reply here and i'll do some research for you.
I havent done any testing yet, but i know sirius requires log in and the input of characters to log on so i dont think its like normal internet radio stations. also paying for apps is kinda wack =/
another good app to use for Sirius is SelectRadio v4.0.2. I have it and it works good by just logging in with my user name and password for the account I have. Unfortunately the SelectRadio v4.0.2 is only a trial for 10 days.
hey guys i got it answered look in here
its completely free and its a lifesaver for when im at work

i have the cab file in the thread
Sirius Radio on HTC Touch
Hello everyone; my first post!
I just wanted to add to this subject for new viewers inquiring about Sirius Radio for their pocket pc phone. (Sorry so long...)
I have the HTC Touch gsm unlocked version on the AT&T network (wm6). I went onto this forum from my desktop computer and found the thread by "ilikepu" with a link to the Sirius cab. I put the site address into my phones browser. Once I located the thread on my phone, I downloaded & installed the cab file directly from the site. Once I opened the file, I went to the settings and entered my user name & password (I currently have an account with Full access to Sirius in my Truck. Sirius gives you free internet access with the account, but with limited channels); this cab uses the web access. Then I clicked save, and began streaming a channel flawlessly. I had about 3 bars on my signal strength. I did not check the box for Use TCPMP. It used the windows media player just fine.
The only thing that's needed is internet access (w/data plan), & an account with Sirius. It's Not Free!

Has anyone got this working on a WM5 device yet?
The url's that you go to come back with
"service is not available for your mobile device".. but there are lots of JAR's and JAD's floating around for different phone types..
EDITED:
As I'm not a Vodafone 3G customer - i'm after the SKY TV Guides and the ability t mark something as "to record" and have it automatically recorded at home.....
Charlie Grillo
id be interested in this too
Can someone explain a bit mroe about this? Is it a service that sky are introducing for their customers, or an extra pay service? Cheers.
This is for current customer (for free):

try going to:
mobile.sky.com/sbm
this then checks your phones comatibility
Sky by Mobile - Is it possible on Windows Mobile?
By Gears. Published on 10 Jul 2006.
Some of you may be aware of a new service launched by Sky TV recently. If you're lucky enough to have one of their whizzy PVR's then you'll already be used to the live pause and recording to hard disk. However, recently they announced their Sky by Mobile service which allows you to get the latest news and videos from Sky plus you can now remotely set programmes to record onto your Sky+ box. Good eh?
Only one problem though. You need one of these handsets to run the software, and Windows Mobile isn't on there. I'd really like to use this service - I'm always forgetting to set my Sky+ box or I'm away from the house and I can't physically touch the remote. Last night I found this interesting digitalspy.co.uk thread and downloaded this JAR file and plonked it onto my Orange SPV C600. I opened it up in file explorer and ran it in the Java MIDlet Manager. It does actually work, I can load it up and enter my sky.com credentials, however it stops after that - I presume because it can't access the net. I can't seem to get around this and I've tried everything like opening a GPRS connection manually and tweaking with the security settings.
Has anyone else tried this successfully ? I'm trying the JAR file for the Nokia 6230 in this example but Sky hide the links so I've not found any other JAR files to test.
http://mobile.sky.com/SBM/series40/sky_S40_LR_SF_6230/SkyMobile_S40_LR_SF_6230.jar
It installs in the midlet manager, and runs, but does not connect or go any further.
Surur
ive tried the link in a few different browsers, pie, mnimo and the java based opera but no look, just says not compatible with your device, i guess we will have to wait untill the sky.com web based service is available and use the text service in the mean time
got excited when the letter came through the post, its been in the pipeline for about a year or so now
edit: looked at the website http://www.wecomm.com/ who i think are the company that provide the software for the service and they do have other products that work on WM phones, so maybe soon it will be on our wizards!
anyone know whether we are going to get this?
On a similar subject, does anyone have the software program that you need to view your sky channels via broadband? I've just registered for it, but they email the URL to the original email address that was given to them by the account holder, but my Dad never gave them one so I'm struggling to get the software!
Cheers.
I think everyone has given up on this but ive managed to get a collection of installers for various phones, using the user agent tags in firefox.
not managed to get any of them to work though! but thought they may be useful to other people.
edit: ignore this post i cant seem to upload the files!
but if anyone is interrested give me a shout, ive got about 13 different installer files, mainly nokia,motorola, SE an i think one might be for blackberry.
The Beebotron site lets you Listen Again to any BBC broadcast – something the Beeb won’t let you do on a PDA .
The main site gives you the information and background for the project, along with the radio stations and their programmes – just click and listen! This works well on a PC, but it’s getting a bit large for a PDA. So in the site you’ll find a link to Beebotron Lite, which is a cut down version (fully functional, but without the explanations) aimed purely at PDA users.
Beebotron and Beebotron Lite also host programme synopsis information. Now you’ll know what you’re going to play before you play it (unlike the Beeb’s site where you don’t know what, e.g. the Afternoon Play MON TUE WED THU FRI is going to give you unless you start playing one of the day links…)
I made the site primarily for my own use (Axim X51v) and then realised that other people might like it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this - hope you like the site!
Cheers, Kronalias
This is a fantastic idea Kronalias! However Real Player on my Universal times-out everytime I try to play any of the links. I've tried over Wifi, and Ive also adjusted real players time-out to 100 in the registry with no success.
Anybody having similar problems?- Is the BBC blocking me because I am conecting from New Zealand? I know they block video, but I have no problem accesing the audio links from my PC.
Thanks.
Hi Vscottie
Thanks for the nice words! Now let’s see if we can get your problem solved….
When you say that you can access the audio links from your PC do you mean that you can use Beebotron to listen? If so then, as my links are the links that are buried deeply in the Beeb’s site, you are not being blocked by either the BBC or your ISP. If you can’t use Beebotron on your PC then I’m afraid you won’t be able to use it on your PDA.
You might just find that you can Listen Again but not Listen Live (or vice versa) - although I haven’t had any reports of this behaviour.
You’re the first response I’ve had from NZ (thank you!), but I’ve had two reports from Australia. These were for a QTEK 9000 (same as an iMate JAS JAR) and a Nokia N80, both of which worked fine. They are both smartphones (WM5 on the QTEK, Symbian OS on the Nokia), and both connected to Beebotron using wifi. I realise NZ isn’t Oz, but I’m rather hoping that if Beebotron works in one country it’ll also work in t’other…
You might just find that you can Listen Again but not Listen Live (or vice versa), although I haven't had any reports of this behaviour.
I’m guessing that your Universal is the HTC Universal Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone. If so, then it should connect…
I’m not sure whether you can do the following on a smartphone (I don’t have one) but this checks whether everything is working on a pocket pc:
1. On your Pocket Internet Explorer please go to the Beebotron, then pick any Listen Again link and then any show. Don't click the link, press and hold it and you should get a popup box. Select the option 'Copy Address'
2. Open Real and then File => Open Location. Paste (Ctl V) the link in and press ok in the top right corner
And it should play!
Would you let me know how you get on please?
Cheers, Kronalias
PS For any other readers, in my OP I forgot to give the link to Beebotron Lite. It’s here: Beebotron Lite
Yeah I can't work out what it's problem is. Real Player 'connects' then starts 'loading' and stays that way with its little clock turning untill it reaches whatever I've set for time-out (100 now) then reports "Response or data from server timed out." It obviously hates me
Connecting from the PC is no problem- both from the Beebs site and yours.
But I've just worked out (sorry I should have checked before) that I can't 'load' Irish streams from RTÉ with real now either, or any real stream from the net- well I can load enough to view the tag information but not play the stream.
There must be something installed on my JasJar that's causing the problems, I've turned off the PCs firewall in case it was that.- Does RealOnePPC have problems with Wifi I wonder (we have no GSM coverage at the house)
Time to try some software removal.
Thanks again
Bounty upped to $80 Graphic concept pics still needed.
The concept is simple, stream sports scores to Titanium via a panel..
First thoughts on ideal panel.
The panel should incorporate scores from all the major sports we all love.
The panel should allow customization (sports)
The panel should auto refresh at user selected intervals or only by selecting a soft button.
Wish list:
Fading transitions (similar to PointUI RSS feeds)
RSS feeds for the selected sports.
Customizable panel backgrounds (helmet, ball, logo pics)
Favorite teams (condensed view for only your favorite teams)
Schedules for upcoming games
Ability for data to display on S2U2 or default WM lockscreen
Hopefully there is interest out there for this.. Chip in for the dev who makes the first fully working panel!!!
Pocket Sportscenter
Maybe you can start here...?
I run this on my stock Kaiser WM6 ROM, but I only use it during Football season. On WM6 it can scroll (not really scrolling though) on the carrier line, or as a today plugin. It doesn't show actual team logo's, but it will show league logo's as they scores switch (NFL, NBA, NCAA, etc)
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=4161
I'd like to have this app run on the S2U2 screen so I don't have to unlock the phone the check sports scores... but no luck on anybody making that happen.
Great start.. Perhaps we can bridge communication with Cozboogie to get similar data feeds (very extensive) and try to reformat for Titanium. S2U2 view and lockscreen view added to wishlist.

that sounds freaking awesome. i am no coder by any means. but im going to try.
Really would love this....
Half of the time I spend on my phone is checking sports scores....this would be amazing.
The pocket Sports Center app I posted is actually REALLY nice. If it can be improved on then it would definitely be one of the best apps I have. It's not much for eye candy though
Its slightly customizable (font size and color) so you can make sure it stands out against whatever background you have, you can choose which sports are shown/updated, as well has how long each score is shown on the screen.
You can pick how often it updates as well.
And I assumed that since it can either run on the operator line, or as a today plugin it just *seemed* like it can be run just about anywhere.
Back when i first got it I asked if it can somehow be integrated into S2U2. Got no answer so i gave up my quest. If I could get that without having to change ROM's I might be even happier!
I've upped the original bounty to $35.... Please pledge some coffee/bounty money for some devs to get the inspiration to code this idea...
Titanium Sports has a nice ring to it
Fantasy Sports
It would be awesome to also incorporate fantasy sports data, although I know that is a bit of a pipe dream. Just posting to see if there is any continued interest with this.
Great idea... A Fantasy spinoff would make a great addition.. Getting the info from a secure site might take some dev work similar to the twitter panels being made, but should be doable..
It looks like this is dead.
Too bad, I loved the idea.

I think someone will jump on this eventually.. it is a niche tool for the most part and can piggyback off of other CPR development (stocks)

ok......let me do it a try.....
first I need you gyes tell me whitch web side you usually go for getting these information?
I'm living in Taiwan so I dont think you gyes can understand the information from mine it's Chinese中文你們看不懂吧
Here are some sources I found:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard (American League, National League baseball)
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/scoreboard (Basketball)
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/scoreboard (NFL)
US Soccer
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/scoreboard?league=usa.1&cc=5901 (US Soccer)
All
http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/scoreboard?league=all&cc=5901 (US and European Soccer)
College
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard (Football)
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard (Mens Basketball)
Nascar (Not sure if there is a live ticker for Race Days or not)
All ESPN sourced.
If I get some time later this week, I will work on the Web Downloader side to scrape the scores off one of the ESPN sites.
Then using Mortscript, work on building a working sample of the sports ticker.
It will require a data call to get updated scores.
One idea is to look at the 'event'. If the event is not finished, do a data call per 'non-closed' events to try and limit the amount of data calls required to get updates when there really are no updates.

Awesome.. Thanks for jumping on this idea... Cant wait for a beta..
Here are the common sites used in the USA for sports scores.
FYI, Many other Titanium tools use Mortscripts to tap into yahoo information..
Yahoo Sports:
Football AM: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/scoreboard;_ylt=AiA2VfkohVCCm2k5LRRLdsNDubYF
Baseball AM: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/scoreboard;_ylt=AiA2VfkohVCCm2k5LRRLdsMRvLYF
Basketball AM: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/scoreboard;_ylt=AiA2VfkohVCCm2k5LRRLdsO8vLYF
ESPN:
Football AM: http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/scoreboard
Baseball AM: http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard
Basketball AM http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/scoreboard
Fox Sports:
Football AM: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/scores
Baseball AM: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/scores
Basketball AM: http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/scores
Well, ran into one issue with coding the readfile for Fox Sports.
Reading current day scores when the game has not started Mortscript throws an error saying url is too big.
Reading past days scores it grabs the finished scores just fine.
Code:
year = FormatTime("Y")
month = FormatTime("m")
if (month < 10)
month = SubStr(month, 2, 1)
endif
day = FormatTime("d")
if (day < 10)
day = SubStr(day, 2, 1)
endif
date = year & "-" & month & "-" & (day - 1)
link = readfile("http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/scores?scheduleDayCode=" & date & "&season=Regular")
#link = readfile("http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/scores?scheduleDayCode=2009-7-27&season=Regular")
game = split(link, "Start Final", TRUE);
count = 0
ForEach g in array (game)
search="sbScoreboxAwayTeamWithRecord"
pos1 = find(g, search)+length(search)+32
pos2 = find(g, "</", pos1)
Awayteam = SubStr(g, pos1, pos2-pos1)
Awayteam = replace(Awayteam, ">", "")
search="sbScoreboxRunsFinal"
pos1 = find(g, search)+length(search)+2
pos2 = find(g, "</", pos1)
AwayteamScore = SubStr(g, pos1, pos2-pos1)
search="sbScoreboxHomeTeamWithRecord"
pos1 = find(g, search)+length(search)+32
pos2 = find(g, "</", pos1)
Hometeam = SubStr(g, pos1, pos2-pos1)
Hometeam = replace(Hometeam, ">", "")
search="sbScoreboxRunsFinal"
pos3 = find(g, search, pos1)+length(search)+2
pos2 = find(g, "</", pos3)
HometeamScore = SubStr(g, pos3, pos2-pos3)
if (count > 0)
Message( Awayteam & " " & AwayteamScore & " " & Hometeam & " " & HometeamScore )
endif
count = count + 1
EndForEach
If you take out the (day - 1) and make it just day, it will throw an error.
Part of this issue is that when the game is complete, the score section changes from sbScoreboxRuns to sbScoreboxRunsFinal.
Still working on a solution.
The above code works to grab final scores of previous days games (MLB only for now).
Just copy code to note pad, save as MLB.mscr then copy to your PDA. If you have Mortscript installed, simply click on it and for now it will pop up message box with the final scores.
Just wanted to share some progress for now.
Still working on it.
Any chance the ticker can include hockey scores from the NHL? I'll jump in on the bounty if it's possible.
Nate
Should be able to do that with this:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/scores
Its the same format at the rest of the msn.foxsports scores.
New Links to use due to file size issues:
Mobile Foxsports
MLB
http://sports.mobile.msn.com/en-us/mlb/tdscores.aspx
Other sports follow similar link patern
NFL
http://sports.mobile.msn.com/en-us/nfl/tdscores.aspx
Will try and update my test Morscript code to look at these later today.
Okay, yet another testing script.
Those that have Mortscript, I need someone to test this update.
Save the attached file to your phone, rename from .txt to .mscr (can't attach .mscr so renamed it to .txt so I could attach it).
You need active data to use.
On first screen, click on Today
Second screen, click on MLB (only one that has code behind it currently).
I am at work so can't test this right now so need someone out there to test.
If works, should get a message box saying Final.
Thanks.
Great Progress.... Will test later..
