I have lots of photos on my memory card, they dont seem to appear on the photo viewer with the touch interface:-( Do I have to move all of them internally?
I Can access them only via file explorer, I can still view them there and do a slide show but no touch zoom, pan etc..
Of course I dont want to be moving all of them in to internal mem, that would defeat the purpose of buying a higher capacity mem. If I can access pics and media externally then im getting an 8 gig pronto
just a small reminder to use the search function ;-)
... move all photos to the folder DCIM on your storage card and it will work.
do not forget to use the search function next time ;-)
Sorry, found the answer earlier right here also, thanks and again my apologies.

"Photo Storage Card Inserted".
Every single time I reboot.
I loathe it.

I read this problem on one of the reviews, cant remember the solution but if you google it you will find the answer

Yup, still use this SD card in my wee canon camera... not rich enough for a 2 or 4gb dedicated SD yet!

Yes, tried googling it, found zilch...
Yes, it's probably the existence of the DCIM folder that triggers this event.
I just did a cursory check, and there doesn't seem to be a setting for this under the standard Pictures & Videos app.
Deleting or renaming this folder will stop this message popping up
Do you have any third party application installed related to viewing pictures like SPB Imageer or Resco Viewer?

Can't really delete the folder - use the sd card in my camera all the time.... i'll just have to buy a decated xda card....

Using Resco Viewer, but still get the message popping up after even a hard reset...
Hi, why does the photo viewer on the touchflo cube only see pictures stored on the phone memory and not the memory card. I cannot see a way to change this in settings, am I missing something?
My Niki is a T-Mobile UK flavour.
Cheers

Create a folder called DCIM on your memory card and put your pictures in there.
i did this and still not showing

Take a picture with the camera, and make sure it stores your pictures on your memory card. Put your other pics wherever your newly taken pic ends up.
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere. I couldn't see it anywhere.
Does anyone know the best way to redirect the Documents, Pictures on phone etc to the storage card?
Can it be done within Advanced Config. And if so, does anyone know if it sticks?
you can tell the camera to store the photos on the storage card. I haven't figured out more yet, would like to know how to change the default folder for bt recieved files or opera downloads e.g.
Pictures to storage card
Within the camera/settings, there is a menu with 6 options. Pressing the storage icon toggles between saving to card, and device.
Other apps let you choose where to store file. Notes & email.
You can store all your audio and image files on the SD and sense will find them.
Many apps can be installed on the sd.
TomTom & Copilot install maps on the sd.
At 100meg they are too big for most mobile memories, though the HD2 could handle it.

hey all, gone thru the search and cant find a guide, how do i change where my camera photos are saved as at the min they are saved to a folder called 100media, also how do i take the photos out of there into a seperate folder?
Hello
You have an option to choose where your HD2 stores the photos - either in microSD card or internal memory
Start->Photo->Tools->touch Hd2 icon in Menu
it changes from a sd icon to HD2 icon
Hello
My note saves data to the phone memory.
Such as for example if I edit a photo with Snappspeed or Photo Editor.
The edited photos get saved to my phone memory by default.
From within the apps themselves, I cannot select default save location.
Like in the camera, you can select to have images saved to your external card not the internal one.
I ask because my internal memory is pretty full.
Its full because I transfer photos from my DSRL (Canon 5D MKII) to the Note 3 and then process them on the Note 3.
The files are pretty big as you can imagine.
I don't like the idea of manually moving them from the internal memory to the external one. Its inconvenient.
Let me guess, you're on KitKat.
Nope.
I never updated.
On jellybean 4.3
Hm. (KitKat removes write access to SD for 3rd party apps)
Odd, Snapseed indeed only has an option to select the photosize.
I think you could let tasker automatically move files from one folder to another. Not exactly the perfect solution, but it's a roundabout way.
Also, I won't even bother asking why on earth you would use the really, really limited Snapseed app on the Note 3 as opposed to the full ColorEFEX on the PC. Particularly with a 5DMKII, what a waste... Editing a full-frame on a smartphone... Such a waste of such an excellent camera... (Ignore me, I'm a photographer and photoshopper, I can get a little obsessed about these things.)
What does the 'move app to sd card'option do?
I user snapspeed for casual photo sharing.
For dslr photos I use Photo Mate R2.
I user photo mate r2 on my Note 3 with my dslr photos because I don't own an up to date desktop or laptop. Just an iPad & note 3.
Plus the photos I take are for casual use. So no need for pixel peeping monitors.
