Answering phone calls. - Touch CDMA General

Why is it that I have to continously click the green and/or the answer button about 5 times before the phone actually answers the call? Has this happened to anyone else?

I would try different dialers. I had the same problem with the end key not hanging up a call and changing the dialer fixed it.

I use the stock dialer should work fine no?

have you installed software that might be causing the problem? if not, then perform a hard-reset to see if that corrects the problem.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. Not up for a hard reset, so I'll just deal with it.

Incoming call screen drops below the display

Anyone know of a fix when an incoming call comes in and the windows drops down below the device display where you cannot see the entire window only half?
Not sure what cause it and I have not always seen the issue. I have been on DCD rom 3.22 for a long time no issues Verizon 6800. A soft reset will fix but does anyone know of a fix? or what causes it...
Thx

this has happened to me a couple of times before. theres not really any reason for it that i know of. most likely it's going to be a memory issue or an app issue of you use a program like SPB phone suite. just open your keyboard and when the screen rotates you'll be able to see your call. soft reset after that or wait for the next call to see if it happens again.

Hearing somebody who's callig before pickup

Maybe other people have the same "problem", i hear the one who calls me before i answer/pickup my phone. They could not hear me, very strange.
Other people with teh same?
Yes,it happens to me also. Phone is ringing and in external speaker I can hear the calling party
Very strange
Regards,
VM
That would depend on the phone of the other party I guess. Never happened to me though.
Happened to me once on 1.43. A soft reset cured it and then 1.48 seems to fix that.

Hi, I experience this problem too, but where can I read if 1.48 fixes this error?

Hello,
I have the same problem. I have had this problem with the MIUI and the Cyanogen ROM. Even after updating it still gets stuck.
When I receive a call the screen turns black and I can only answer it by pressing the button, not by using the screen. After the call the screen is still black and the only way to use it is to reset my phone (take out battery).
Any help?

Phone call problem

Anyone else find that every once in a while you'll call someone and won't be able to hear anything and they won't hear you until you call them back? Happens when I call out from time to time. Very frustrating.
Tried wiping dialer data. Also tried reinstalling app updates from the play store, no change.

I'm actually on ATT, which means it's probably not carrier related. Wonder if anyone knows of any alternate dialers that would work? Could see if it's app related or driver related.
I've done this but found my phone was on mute. Next time it happens check to see if that's the case. I think maybe it is easy to hit with your face?
I had the same issue but it would work with some numbers and not with others. I found a setting under the caller that was turned on for hearing aid support. Once I turned that off, it seems that my issues have gone away.
10 hours into the phone (got mine this AM) and I like the device but still not a fan of the camera, even with the Google camera port. Some things essentially (intentional) seem half baked or not thought completely through.
I just downloaded the MS Launcher and I have to say, I like it a lot. I'm considering keeping that the stock launcher.b
Same issue, my face it's the mute button all the time.
Happened twice in a day, I had to reset everything and still same if I restore all apps from back and/or if I connect my phone to car bluetooth --> safe unlock.

Random restart while ending calls?

I was calling my friend and he put me on hold by mistake. I didn't know this, and checked the phone to see if the call was disconnected.
I was surprized to see that my phone rebooted. This has happened 3 times now, and all while trying to disconnect calls. I've attended a lot of calls, but it doesn't happen always.
Anyone else having this issue? I didn't have this issue when I had Nougat on the device.

Same issue here. You might have noticed that it happens most of the time when you press power key while call is ending.
Since last two days no issue like that before 5-10 times. Device reboots in 1-2 seconds so i ignored it. call me lazy.

Totally true! I meant realistically it takes less than 20 seconds, which is quite fast. My Redmi 2s still needs some time to get up and running, but Mi A1 is fast in this regard. And so is Redmi Note 4 (my roommate has it).

Same problem occuring on my Mi A1
Same for me.
Same issue but no solution..
Guys any solution for it ? I m facing the same problem and this is happening after i updated to Oreo
Same for me guys. tried everything, not even latest patch (Feb) solved it. What about you?
Same the latest update haven't solved it so I have just downgraded to the 7.1.2
I have been facing the same issue for past 3 weeks. Don't know the reason nor the solution.!
Also, if you notice, the call during which the phone restarts, is never logged in the last dialed or received calls
This is either a kernel bug which affects certain phones or a hardware bug. If you can reproduce it after factory resetting your phone, not installing any additional apps and using another cellular operator, then it's certainly a hardware bug. In this case you might want to replace/RMA your device.

The problem seems to be related to the proximity sensor. The smartphone also reboot in whatsapp calls.
Yes the problem is with the proximity sensor even the March update haven't solved it.
I can confirm this issue. Tho im not sure if it started this or last patch

Same issue here. For me it happens when the other person ends the call or when I make the call or during the call itself.
I have had this issue. I clean flashed the whole phone with wiping the partition too. And it's solved now for me.
