Hi
Is there any alternative program to sync my contacts, appointments and tasks from Outlook 2003 to my XDA II running WM 5.0. Activsync connects but does not do it for me.
Set Up
Vista on Desktop
XP on Laptop
PPC 2003 on XDAII
Just want to share a "solution" on the no calendar, no contact sync between PPC 2003 and WMDC6 on Vista.
Here is the accidental find:
1. Had sync PPC to XP Laptop on outlook 2003
2. Exported Outlook 2003 Calendar as Personal folder File (.pst)
3. From Outlook 2007, Import the .pst file
4. With WMDC6 installed on Vista Desktop, sync with PPC 2003 XDAII
This somehow made my XDAII sync my calendar with WMDC6. The rest just functioned as well contacts and all.
Hi everyone.
I just bought myself a Shift, and now I want to sync it against my Tytn2 without installing outlook...
I use both firefox and thunderbird on the Shift.
And how can I sync it when Shift is in SnapVue?
I will be gratefull for any help

create a free or paid account with an exchange provider
Sync with it snapvue, and your tynt.
Or follow the Shiftpac method...then when its all sync'ed, connect your TyTynII when you do not have Snapvue side connected, and you can sync all but emails, just as if you had two phones connecting at seperate times. (THINKS... Snapvue is just a basic mobile on USB! Init?)
Thank you both for your input.
I have tried to sync with the shiftpac methode, but it only synced My Favorits, cause I don't have outlook on my Shift. And I really don't want to purcase it eighter And I don't have an exchange provider
Hm, I was really hoping there was another way

There are free exchange providers. mail2web is one of them IIRC
Hi im testing the HTC Hero for my work but i cant seem to sync mails from the exchange server (exchange 2003) through my PC's outlook and onto the hero. Syncronizing the calender and contacts using HTC Sync works perfectly but i really need to sync the mails aswell.
is there an application (for the Hero or PC) that lets me sync mails through the PC's outlook (as no mobile devices are allowed on our network)

Click to collapse
I don't believe there Hero allows syncing of mails through a PC and I don't believe there is an app for it either. The only way of syncing exchange emails is by setting up an exchange account on your Hero and syncing over your data connection or WiFi. Syncing this way keeps all your mails in sync anyway so it's probably the better option. Your phone, PC and the Exchange Server will all be perfectly in sync.
only problem there is that the phone cant be connected to the network. (even tho we have wireless connection its only for laptops)
I,
Some one can help me with this problem?
This message appears when i try to sync my mobile.
"Unable to synchronize the device with the current Outlook profile on your desktop computer. This may be due to the fact that it was used to configure a different profile."
I use Windows 7 with Office Professional x64.
Thank you
The Sync does not work with Office x64.
You can have Windows x64 and Office x32 and it should be working.
Cheers!!!
That msg usually appears when you have more that 1 mail account in Outlook (ie. multiple profiles). Like mine for instance, 1 have one for exchange and another for gmail.
However, prabhat is right. Sync does not work with outlook 64. This is confirmed by MS in their KB. To sync with outlook, you'll need outlook 32bit. Or, you could use gmail to sync as well as in phone-google-outlook.. If your outlook is on exhange however, that is then a different problem altogether..
