ActiveSync Issue - Mogul, XV6800 General

I have a Sprint Mogul latest rom and active sync software using XP computer. When my phone times out and the screen goes blank when I wake it up it is trying to sync somtimes, not all the time. Is there anyway to insure that it will only sync when connected to the computer? It really drains the battery when this happens. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Alan

Start > Settings > Connections (tab) > USB to PC
uncheck "Enable Advanced Network Functionality
Ok > Ok > reconnect your cable > enjoy life

Thanks
Thanks, I already have those settings. Perhaps I hit comm manager when I take it out of the case?

Wi-FI connection problem

I'm getting crazy...
Using a cooked rom (6.5) and trying to connect to a secured network. All goes well, connect, and the asked to provide credentials... and there it is: I NEVER HAVE THE TIME TO ENTER THE BLOODY CREDENTIALS!!!!
Half-way through, I get a connection error message and the connection wizard closes on me...
How do I get to provide my credentials without the phone trying to connect?
It's getting me nuts.

Whenever I flash a rom, one of the 2 things I change in wifi connections is the following:
1. Go to Start > Settings > All Settings > Connections > Wifi > Wireless Networks > Network Adaptors and set this to 'The Internet'
2. Go to Start > Settings > All Settings > Connections > Wifi > Advanced > Power Mode and change this to Best Performance.
Once this has been changed soft reset and try connecting now.
Let me know how you get on

Internet Dropped When Connected with USB

Anytime I connect to my home (or work laptop) via USB, the internet no longer works. At work, I can understand this because of the proxy server, etc. Is there any way to always connect via my 3G connection and when connected via USB not to change the connection from 3G?
It's weird cos i have the same problem, but not all the time. When I flash my Miri rom's some seem to work over 3G when connect via USB, my latest one doesn't.
Now i dont sync my device to the PC anyway, so i use the power adapter and bluetooth, thus not having the issue. although I have never bothered to try and figure it out.
to force the data connection, try this
settings menu all settings connections connections - advanced tab, select network, and set the top drop down to the name of your data connection.
(if it already is, then.... ummm I dunno)
sorry but this did not work.
In activesync/WMDC, go to connection settings, and check "allow internet connections while connected" or something like this.
By default it cuts the other connections as the phone will get the net through activesync when it's connected.

this also did not work
On your phone:
Start > Tools > QuickGPS
Menu > Options
Turn off '"Download QuickGPS when connected to PC via ActiveSync".

this worked for me at home, but did not work for me at work (perhaps having something to do with the work proxy?) any ideas...?

[Q] Unable to browse the internet using Local USB connection

Hi All,
My Omnia II is now connected to my laptop using the USB cable (Activesync enabled) and i can send and receive email, i also use nodata.cab to disable data while I'm not on Wifi connection / USB connection.
the question is that, how can i browse the internet and get my widget updated using the internet through my local USB connection which is now connected to my LAN ?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
You simply enable this option in the connection settings of ActiveSync/WMDC in your PC.
Mobile Device settings > connection settings > check "Allow data connections on device when connected to PC."
good luck
