Can I configure HTC Home Launcher tab to display both applications and contacts..jsut like Touch Commander?
try ultimate launcher... you'll find .cab on forum or if you feel up to a COMPLETELY new today screen try searching for "aurora"... Cheers....

Hi everyone.. I am using the LG Today Plugin and Loving it... I also have the PointUI Home installed and loving (only) the User Interface Clock and Calendar home plugin.. is there a way to extract the Touch/Scroll clock and calendar from PointUI home so that i can run it on my today screen with LG Today Plugin without launching PointUI Home 1.01B?
I dont like the functions for that app..
or if anyone know where i can download just the Home screen touch/scroll clock and calendar in PointUI Home..

okay.. maybe I jumped the gun a bit.. I know that both programs are new and still in development stage.. and that maybe i just need a little patience..
But then again.. if someone can create a similar program like the PointUI Touch Scroll Clock/Calendar.. that would be awesome!

Has anyone created a diamond theme based on the Vogue? I like the Homescreen and original touchflow 1.0 (Cube) much better than TouchFlow 3D, which is still really slow and almost unsuable.
What kind of theme do u think of?
Disable TF3D and install your fav. of the cube apps...

You could try to install the HTC Home Customizer (latest version).
This tool can download the HTC Home screen from the Touch (Vogue; Elf)..
But I don't know if it works with VGA... but you could try it

If you replace Quick Task with the app:

then you can cycle on the icons. I have wktask set to display only the icons of running apps.

I've installed SecondToday and Ultimate Launcher.
On my today, Touchflo3d is running, while on SecondToday,
I have Ultimate Launcher running. In Ultimate Launcher,
I've activate some normal today plugins and also TodaysAgenda.
However, when in SecondToday, the animation in Ultimate Launcher
lags. Damn disappointing.
Even when I've enable Ultimate Launcher on my today and disable TouchFlo,
it still lags.
And advise why is this so?
If you use secondtoday to bypass TF3D then you should know that it is artificial today screen - for example there is no system tray down. I suggest you to use this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480475. It will surely save resources and let you access REAL today screen.

I'm wondering what the best option for a Today Screen replacement or addition to make it more finger friendly on a 6.1 device.
Of course, SPB Mobile Shell is very nice, but I'm looking for something more streamlined, with very, very little memory or CPU usage.
What other options are out there, and what do you think is best?

There is nothing low memory for our limited titan. spb is the best. I suggest to get a new phone with tf3d

it looks exactly like the htch touch homescreen, and works wonders. it didnt use too much of my memory <2mb
Have you looked at HTC Home Plugin? I use the HHCv10Final which is the customizer program. The HTC Home Customizer is a FREE tool that allows you to fully customize your HTC Home Plugin settings. With it, you can customize the background, clock, tab icons, and weather icons and more. Another really cool feature is that you can add color to the icons and large display clock your today screen.
If you just install the customizer it will check to see if you have the HTC Home Plugin already installed and if you don't, it will download and install it for you!
