Cycling through open windows/applications? - Touch HD General

On the HD is there the equivalent of the alt + tab of desk top windows or do you always have to go back to the home screen and then quick menu?
Apologies if dumb question but just over from UIQ3.

you can try taskfacade

If you replace Quick Task with the app:
Wktask http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
then you can cycle on the icons. I have wktask set to display only the icons of running apps.

Thanks guys. TaskFacade does not seem optimised for the bigger screen (tiny icons in panels) but still trying WkTask

WkTask is a great application.
Works fine on my HTC Touch HD.

looking for an alternative taskmanager

i'm looking for either a modded htc task manager, or alternative task manager.
but whatever i manage to find doesn't suit my needs, or doesn't look good.
i need a task manager that works pretty much like the HTC task manager does in the today screen. but i need it to work like that everywhere.
the only one i could find that works like that is pBar, but it's button half overlaps other taskbar icons such as battery/time.
and it keeps displaying "start" which can't be added to the exceptions.
i see a lot of people recommend wktask, but that's a big no for me.
it moves the taskbar a few pixels away from where it should be, puts too much icons on my taskbar, and can't switch/close tasks through it's quickmenu.

Try Showcase by e-natives technology. Being developed daily but already a superb stable and finger friendly task manager/switcher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530564
i tried it, but it's not very responsive for me.
often when i try to open the screen for switching windows, or if i try to close something, it just minimizes the windows because it doesn't register me touching the other 2 "buttons"

Please help me -- need simple customize of Snap HTC Home Screen

I like the HTC Snap slider, but want the message center from the Windows Sliding Panels...so all 4 are in one row and not separate panels like they are on the HTC home.
I've been scouring the web for hours with no luck. Or I could use the Windows Sliding Panels home page and would like to add the HTC Weather to it.
I've tried adding 3rd party weather apps like NRG's mini weather but it won't work properly so need to adjust the panels myself I guess. Featherweather wouldn't even begin to work on my Snap.
Thanks

CHome Configure will allow you to hide those panels, and show panels on other home screen panel choices. As far as weather, Elecont Weather has a home screen panel set up that rocks. Its not free, but, well you know
Yea, I tried unhiding the HTCWeather panel in Chome Configurator and it still doesn't show up on my Home Screen.

Fastest Today Screen Replacements/Additions

Hey all,
I'm wondering what the best option for a Today Screen replacement or addition to make it more finger friendly on a 6.1 device.
Of course, SPB Mobile Shell is very nice, but I'm looking for something more streamlined, with very, very little memory or CPU usage.
What other options are out there, and what do you think is best?
Anyone?
There is nothing low memory for our limited titan. spb is the best. I suggest to get a new phone with tf3d
do a yahoo search for HTC.Kaizer.Home.Plugin.with.Tabsetting.schen.cab
it looks exactly like the htch touch homescreen, and works wonders. it didnt use too much of my memory <2mb
Have you looked at HTC Home Plugin? I use the HHCv10Final which is the customizer program. The HTC Home Customizer is a FREE tool that allows you to fully customize your HTC Home Plugin settings. With it, you can customize the background, clock, tab icons, and weather icons and more. Another really cool feature is that you can add color to the icons and large display clock your today screen.
If you just install the customizer it will check to see if you have the HTC Home Plugin already installed and if you don't, it will download and install it for you!

Claunch1204 is also good. The file size is only 186K
Yeah I just recently added HHC to my phone and it works great. I highly recommend it if your bored with the default skins

Move Clock to show x button

I´m using wktask since i got my hd2 but now i flashed a new rom (Clean Ex DsE V14.5) where i can not use the x button of wktask.
Is there a way to move the clock a little bit to the left?
The skin function of wktask works but it hides the half clock.
And how can i disable the current programm caption on the upper left side in the taskbar?
I also want use the stock icons in the taskbar, how can i get them back?
cheers, Nuclear
I encountered this problem too. It's annoying. I ended up installing ArkSwitch. Pretty good.
i try to make a trasparent X icon and use it as skin in wktask.
Then i have to to press on the clock in the taskbar to close a program.

[Q] Task Bar icon & problems

Hello all.
I recently bough a HTC HD mini and i wanted to modify icons task bar as i did with my X1. I used many taskbar icons from other people but i didnt find something that fits me. So i ask for help.
1) I need a good taskbar icon set with fixxed signal icon and good resolution for my htc mini. (I need only TaskBar icons. I dont want to change menu or any other icons).
2) My volume buttons dont work. How i fix this?
3) I tried some apps for windows mobile 6.1 on my htc (witch has 6.5) and they work. Do all apps for 6.1 works on 6.5? Like resco manager, spb rss new and etc?
Thanks in advance.
Most apps work on HD mini. Except those that won't adjust properly to HVGA resolution.
Instead of changing the Taskbar, you may want to consider using BattClock app. It shows plenty of choices of information, and is highly customizable. That way, you can retain the basic HD mini look, plus detailed icons, such as battery and signal bar percentages, in size and position of your choice.
Thanks, but this wont work. When i install it, it messed up my taskbar a lot.
I need a good task bar icon collection. Like tswoen's for XPERIA i had. Does anyone that has HD mini has a nice task bar icons?
It looks like mess up by default. You have to configure it to you needs.
