Dear Friends,
After Installing "Slide to Answer/Ignore" on my HTC Diamond with stock(1.93) ROM my dialer has changed, i mean when a key is pressed the buttons have changed to what you can see in the picture.
Would you provide me the images or a .cab file to restore my dialer while keeping the "Slide to answer/ignore" application?

Try uninstalling the slide-to-answer cab and then soft reset.
If that fixes the images, try a different cab to reinstall the slide-to-answer. This one is good: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=466519

Dear mate,
i did uninstalled it but it didn't make my dialer back,still the problem remains.now i'm going to test the V3 version but i'm not optimistic on solving this issue,i'm trying to find a way to make the dialer back while keeping the "Slide to..." application.
Installing the other dialer that I recommended will only help after you have managed to fix your button problems because that version does not alter any button images.
A hard reset will fix your problems but there are some other less-severe options.
You need to delete all of the dialer images so that your ROM copies become visible again. You could do this yourself in Total Commander or Resco Explorer, or do it another way. One way would be to uninstall all dialers then install a full-dialer cab, before uninstalling it again.
Hope this makes sense.
Edit: You could try this one, then unistall it:

Thanks mate,that solved my problem
Hi aminsamizadeh,
I'm having the same problem you did with the dialer and it's due to the same installation of the Slider.
I did try uninstalling the slider but the corruption with the keypad was still present.
I presume you resolved your issue by hard reset or did you try what was previously suggested? If so could you explain in detail which files need removing?
Or if anyone does have cab or have original dialer files that I can install, I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Solved problem located copy of original bmp for pressed buttons and replaced, everything back to normal
Dear Xavier,
I solved that problem by installing the the cab file in the 2nd or 3rd post in this thread then uninstalling it,dialer reverted to the priginal state,anyway glad to know you got rid of shared problem.
please delete my mistake

Ok, thx
I choose wrong section of forum, didn't I? Maybe it must be in "Nook Touch Android Development"?

No this does not belong in the Development forum as that is not for questions of any sorts so you posted in the right area. You just need to be patient for someone to help you and if they don't it's unfortunate that no one may be able to help so you may need to do some off site research.

I have the same problem for a long time and couldn´t find a solution. Hope someone knows a way to fix it.
I've had this problem before on my phone and I removed my Google account and re-added it as well as clearing data for the Market/Play Store and everything went back to normal. I've never used a Nook Touch before but it's worth a go if you've not done it already.
I just experienced the same issue with my Nook Touch, but the problem has gone away since I just did a factory restore and rerooted it with TouchNooter. That's a drastic solution, but the previous post would probably do the trick too since the restore I did technically did the process that was explained. I was going to restore and reroot anyway in order to update the firmware to 1.1.2 and make a proper backup.
Someone on the #nookdevs IRC channel told me he experienced the problem once when the internal storage of the device was full, so that's something you may want to check if/when this crops up. I keep all my reading material on an 8gb card in my Nook and not the main memory itself, and according to the settings I still had 228mb of 240 free at the time (and 3gb on my card), so I don't know what was actually causing the problem.
Factory reset isn't fun Internal memory is free
Try to delete account: gmail->accounts->accounts settings -> book reboots itself
Somebody told me to reinstall market. But I don't know how install it again

I had the same issue yesterday, this morning it was still doing it.
I also tried to download from the play-google website, but it did the same thing.
I removed google account, booted the nook, added google account, and ran synker and it is now resolved.
I am not really sure what caused it or if doing this resolved the issue or not.
How did you remove account?
When I go Gmail>Accounts> Settings my Nook makes reboot without errors

Here is synker - try saving this to your sdcard and then running to install.
I have found it to be useful
Didn't help
Synker>Accounts & Sync Settings > device reboots
I'm sorry. Mine only did it once, and it is now resolved. it hasn't done it again.
Have you tried restoring your backup and going through the whole rooting process again. I know .. ugly.
But it doesn't seem to be a common problem.
I think I may have a solution for you - rename /data/system/account.db to /data/system/account.db.bak
reboot and then open market - itshould ask you to sign in again, which recreates the account.db file.
ROOT is required (Only for android 6 marshmallow )
I have a galaxy A7 2017 , and the Always On Display is good , but not enough... it only contain 2 clock themes and 1 calendar theme.
The S7 contain 11 clock themes and 2 calendar themes.
The A series 2017 come with AOD(always on display) version 1.7.85 , so if you downgrade AOD to version 1.7.34 you will get additional themes and customization !
Instructions:
•Download App Downgrader (ROOT) by Dev-Alex193a from the play store .
•Download AOD 1.7.34 apk from Apkmirror and put it in your internal storage .
•Open App Downgrader and grant Root .
•Select AOD 1.7.34 apk from internal storage (if you are android 6+ Allow App downgrader to access storage in app permission).
•Click Downgrade and wait between 15 seconds and 1 minute.
If you get a blue check mark that means it worked. :victory:
If the app is still loading after 1 minute, exit the app and try again,
And if it didn't work again that means you can't downgrade (sorry)...
Pros :
* 11 clock themes and 2 calendar themes !
* 3rd party notification is working .
Cons :
*After every reboot the AOD will upgrade automatically (restoring to the original version)
You have to re-Downgrade on every Reboot.(if you find any solution to this problem please tell me).
*Double tapping on notifications on AOD won't open the app.
This is my first post on xda, so sorry if i did anything wrong .
I can't post the links for the apps because xda rules : "To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!"
Interesting, hope samsung will bring more themes with official 7 update...
I cannot believe Samsung so severely gimped this feature in an update. Thank you so much for the tip! It worked without a hitch, and my AOD looks so much more beautiful now.
Thank you so much!!!
I don't have a rooted phone but do you know if it's being updated through the Galaxy apps app? If so you can open Galaxy Apps, tap the three dots, Open Settings and select never auto update. The other way is to disable Galaxy apps altogether using BK Disabler or uninstall it.
can you install themes on the aod with this method ????
I found a way to not have to reinstall after reboot. Just follow the steps above only uninstall always on display before downgrading it. You need an system app uninstaller for this
The reason why aod has to be reinstalled on every boot, is because when you downgrade the app, it becomes a user app and not a system app. so to fix this, just use any tool that can make any user app a system app to make aod a system app, and then you won't have to reinstall aod on every boot.

as said,double tap on notifications,sadly not working.
if someone could find a solution on this,or maybe port S8 AOD for Galaxy Alpha would be awesome!
@nekos95
open a root explorer and go to system/priv-app/AOD service(back up this folder
just in case you want to revert) and delete AOD apk and then replace it with the one you downloaded from APK Mirror.
give the right permissions if needed 0644(check the three vertical boxes below READ and the first box below WRITE.
reboot and your done.if you want to revert back copy your backup file in system/priv-app again and reboot.
Thanks <33
As the title says, I just updated to OOS 9.0.3 and it's so different from the old one i'm really scared to try anything and risk to brick the phone...
I have several problems with the phone (nothing too scary thankfully) and I was thinking some of you could help here.
1) Nova Launcher isn't working properly. When I try to see the apps menu (where all the apps icons are displayed) it just doesn't show up, instead i just see the background and the apps can be seen just a bit in the upper part.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, I can touch the screen and the apps open where the icons should be... I tried to update nova, but the apk gives me the "app not installed" error and I'm not sure why.
2) Not rooted. I want to root the phone. I had it rooted before the update, but considering the last time i tried to root the phone without looking exactly what to do all my memory got wiped, I need to know exactly how to install Magisk and TWRP without bricking the phone or deleting anything... I have a method already that works, but I'm not sure with this now.
3) Is it possible to change the "recent app" orientation to vertical instead of horizontal? Also, is there an easier way to lock and unlock a recent app?
4) Is there a way to link Do Not Disturb to the slider?
5) Xposed is not installed. To be honest I forgot how to install that one, has it changed with this new OS update?
I might have more questions, but that's all for now, I updated like an hour ago, so I haven't been able to try it out more
thank you
Alright, I can try to help with some of your issues, but not all.
Don't worry about the new stuff, you'll get used to it quickly. Some things are still a bit "under development", but mostly is very usable. You'll not break anything and as long as you can boot into fastboot, your phone will be alright.
I cannot help with Nova launcher, I'm not using it.
If you have your bootloader unlocked, then just flash the newest Magisk zip, and you're good to go. Just to be safe, download the MagiskManager app and also the uninstaller zip, so if you end up with a bootloop, you can uninstall it.
I don't think that you can change the recenets, but I might be wrong. If you click the 3 dots in the top right corner of the app, you can lock / unlock it.
I was wondering about the same. I tried to link the DND to the slider with Tasker, without luck so far.
To my knowledge, there is no stable version of Xposed for Pie just yet. There's a beta or alpha build which is somewhat working though.
