Comaptible themes question - Touch Cruise ROM Development

Hi there,
I am looking at changing (updating) from the default themes on my Polaris however I just want to make sure before I do it.
There are some good ones here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338673
although they are listed as Kaiser themes. How do I know if I can also use these themes for my Polaris?
Thanks in advance.

The themes from the Kaiser will work perfectly on your Touch Cruise.
The Touch Cruise is exactly the same device as the Kaiser, it just has some more standard applications (like the cube and fm radio) and newer application versions that were on the Kaiser.
Just put the .tsk files in your windows folder on your Touch Cruise and after that go to settings > today and select it or if you dont want it anymore just delete it.

More themes

and here too
http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/handhelds/todaythemes/?order=9&alltime=yes
put downloaded *.tsk file to My Device -> My Documents -> Templates than select it in Today

You can put them in any folder under \My Documents
I created a Themes folder to keep them all in one place.

Home plugin

Hallo,
Installed the latest home plugin but i cannot get it to work. The contacts, weather en program tabs do not respond. The program tab only shows a folder icon when trying to add a programm.
Anybody have a working version of the HTC Home plugin for the P4350 (Herald)?
Thanx in advance.
I've seen two versions, one has only three tabs (this one didn't work for me) and the other has 5 (this one works fine). The thread where I got the one that works for me is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533
Or, what mostly the problem is, is your landcode. Just tell us where you live and we'll help you out.
There are several files in your windows folder wich you need to edit to make it work.

An Idea

I was going to cook a rom (based on c_shekhar's) but i'm not a cooker, i realized why you guys brick your hard drives and deal with some user complaints, that must be dificult and i thank you for your patience.
But my idea was the folowing
1- Why use htc taskmanager instead of wktask (soo much cooler)
the first thing i do after flash my device is to disable htc's and install wktask, for those how don't know try it, it's very nice.
2- Why not cook the SecondToday, Manila 2D is wonderfull and i don't want to replace it, but there are a lot of today plugins very good (i use a lot phonealarm and eficasoft GPRS(by the way i only got it working on c_shekhar's rom)
3- Biotouch.exe is (if you have the cube enabled) invocated when you drag your finger down to left to show the cube so if you don't use the cube why not replace it with secondtoday (cool hein?) and if you drag it again you'll have manila
To acomplish this you'l need:
Mortscript installed and secondtoday (off course)
Cube registry enabled
The rest is in the attachment
What's in the attachment:
VJBrisk.exe renamed Biotouch.exe
VJTarget.lnk to my mortscript
and my morscript
Backup your biotouch.exe just in case and copy the content to windows folder
P.S. you will lose the left<->right sms<->mail but you can still do it with dpad.
I fully agree with you about wktask.
I dont use htc task manager (on my personal device). I only use wktask and I agree with you that it is amazing. Rather I have been using it for several months by now.
Secondly I dont use (on my personal device) the M2D. Instead I use combination of ultimateLaunch, rlToday and SPB Diary. Because my appointment diary is very heavy, being in Government.
Regarding remaining part of your post, I have never tried. but it sounds a very nice idea, worth trying..

Something to do before using X1

Dear all,
I finally get the X1 on hand. (I have waited it for 1 year). Expect charging the battery. Any Tweak, Program, Settings and others should be done on X1 first? Please advise. Thanks!
get the latest fw before you start installing stuff
xperia tweak (clifford)
spb panel will be in the fw
get yourself a registry editor (resco, SDK tools)
with regards to apps its down to choice and $$$, i dont think anyone uses all the apps from this forum, youtube is a good one though.
Read all the stickies! They will prepare you for the journey ahead.
also read the XDA-WIki entry for x1
Get the following apps if you can afford it or if you're smart and unscrupulous enough to find a keygen/crack:
-RESCO Explorer: Best file explorer incl. Registry Editor and FTP Support
-SPB PocketPlus: Neat tool for the home screen, unless you prefer to use SPB MobileShell
-Garmin Mobile XT or TomTom 7 (The latter is *ONLY* illegally available at this time): Onboard navigation software
-Panoramic Calc Pro: Best calculator
-Spb Wireless Monitor: To monitor your traffic
-Spb Insight: RSS feed reader, very good. You can use the built-in reader of SE panel, though.
-Spb Finance: Manage your accounts
-Spb Keyboard: Screenkeyboard so you don't always have to slide the phone open
-Inesoft Phone: Dialer/Contacts/Etc, more professional than the built-in
Notice you can fully try all Spb Software for 2 weeks to see if you like it.
The following are free:
-Advanced Config: Tweak everything
-Notepad 1.5: Notepad as on Windows, fast & useful
-G-Watch: Stopwatch (There is no default)
-SmsImport: Easily import & export text messages to/from XML file
-Startmenu.exe: Opens/Closes Startmenu. Needed to assign a softkey to open/close the startmenu which I think is the best thing you can do.
-HTC Touch HD Videoconverter: BEST video converter for X1i. USE THIS ONE, IT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL PRODUCE GOOD RESULTS!
You may also want to install a couple of games.
Anyone know the sound issue? Has it been solve?
Dear all,
I know it may be a stupid question. But I have use it for 3 hrs for search. I have installed Resco Explorer. But I don't know how to find the Registry file. Please help. Thanks!

It should be in the Programs-Folder of the STartmenu. It's called "Resco Registry" You could also tap the Star in Resco Explorer in the top left corner and it should show you a list containing "My Registry". If that is not the case, you have no installed the addon. I think you're prompted for this during installation, I don't fully remember.
EDIT: Checked it out. With PC installer you should be prompted. CAB Installers are separate files. You can download them here: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/downloads.asp

newbie need help...please

i just get my htc touch diamond original in malaysia with touch3d ver 1.1.34571.0_1630.38. my diamond is new with original softwares.Previously i used symbian smart phone. But i found some trouble when i use win mobile because i do not understand it well.
i have a few question, i will be glad if seniors in this forum can help me.
my questions...
1)my touch diamond have only 80++mb for my device, remain 3.2gb is internal storage.i found problem when i install software because the message said not enough space. so can i install the software on "internal storage"? or can i do a new partition that make my device 1gb?
2)how to use .cab files?
3)if certain software that come in .rar @ .zip format, how to install in my diamond? (just extract it in paste into the diamond or have to install using active snyc?)
4) my original set come with activesnyc cd, but can only work with window xp, but my os is win vista....how to solve it?
5) i found that my diamond is damn slow, i found the forum " List of Diamond Tweaks " that can increase the performance of the diamond, but i can't found registry editor in my diamond.
6)the g sensor seem very great, but actually how to use it?(i only found it work in opera browser, how to use it in games likes need for speed undercover?)
7)the footprint add-on, i like to have it on my diamond. it is ok to work on my touch diamond?
8)the gps softwares, the pda shop give me the QuickGPS. but how about other like Papago , copilot n navitel?actually how it works?
9)i saw the new touch diamond2's ui, with is better than the one in touch diamond1. can i install the diamond2 ui into diamond1?(worried about it because the RAM n ROM in diamond 1 is smaller than diamond2, screen size also smaller)
thank you very much for reading my post.
Ok, welcome and use the search button up ther that it will solve almost all your future doubts...for now, i'll tell you what i know.
1)YOu can install the softwares on the internal storage, but not the "System" ones, like Opera, Touchflow 3d and others. You will see, if you install it and it doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall it on the device
2)Just tranfer than into the memory (any, storage or phone) and click the file on the phone.
3)Extract it on your computer, if it's a cab, do step 2. If it's a folder with an "EXE" file, double click it. If it says "not a valid win32 aplication", just transfer to the memory and execute the "exe" through the phone explorer. If it's a windows installer, connect your phone through the activesync and install it.
4) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center-download.mspx
5) There is no built-in, download and install the PHM Registry editor or TaskManager or any other. This is my personal favorite: http://freewareppc.com/utilities/taskmanager.shtml
6)The first one is my favorite:

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403939
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427805
7)Can't say, never used it.
8)On my diamond i have Igo 8 (http://www.igomyway.eu/product_4.html) and works perfect, just like a Gps-only tool. I also know that some others like Destinator and TOMTOM work really well.
9)Not yet finished, but it's being ported:

should i use cooked rom?

Well, if you do official HTC update from their site with your own S/N you'll not loose your warranty. In my opnion cooked rooms are better, but i won't tell wich one. That depends on the programs you like and how you like your diamond, is really personal and it's a "Forbiden" discussion here. It's up to you to read the posts and see if it's worth it a try.
If you have any more doubts, you can PM me for opnions, but i don't think this thread is a good place to discuss this, cause the matter already been discussed several times.

yrgoManager - tool to create skins, color themes, etc. in PC

Hi all,
on yrgo's forum, you can find first beta version of the yrgoManager - an application used to create your own skins, wallpapers and color themes in your PC, so you can make it comfortable.
Link: http://2daysoft.com/yrgo/forum/viewforum.php?f=19
EDIT: this application is used to change skins, etc. in yrgo only - windows mobile shell replacement (take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3623606)
Regards,
Luky
can i create wm6.5 skins??? tsk
yrgoManager is used to change skins in yrgo, not the whole WM.
