Hallo,
Installed the latest home plugin but i cannot get it to work. The contacts, weather en program tabs do not respond. The program tab only shows a folder icon when trying to add a programm.
Anybody have a working version of the HTC Home plugin for the P4350 (Herald)?
Thanx in advance.
I've seen two versions, one has only three tabs (this one didn't work for me) and the other has 5 (this one works fine). The thread where I got the one that works for me is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533
Or, what mostly the problem is, is your landcode. Just tell us where you live and we'll help you out.
There are several files in your windows folder wich you need to edit to make it work.

I had this problem with Calendar Plus. BT went totally unreliable and I would get "bluetooth not found" errors. Ended up removing Calendar Plus and all was good again.

ianwood,
Well, I have problems with an icon only. The bluetooth itself is working fine. I was reinstalling everything today after a hard reset and was specifically waching for that issue. After installing Pocket plus the BT icon disapeared.
@Gevor
Did a clean install last weekend.
Also SPB Pocket Plus 2.5 build 2084
Still have the Bluetooth icon in the corner (did a few resets also)
So nothing wrong overhere

porblems at Pocketplus
there are some problems with pocketplus running on xda2 and mini..
you will not be able to see the storage card indicators as it has bugs in it. that's why SPB has disabled them (this is what i read from their website forum spbsoftwarehouse.com)
BT icon gone? have a read at pocket breeze website forum. this is how you overcome this problem:
There is a workaround for this problem.
It's not pretty, it requires hacking the registry, but it works.
I found it at http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showthr...7403#post397403, but had to make a slight adjustment.
I assume that you know
- How to install form a CAB file
- How to create and edit a shortcut on your Pocket PC
- How to edit the registry on your Pocket PC
Ready? Here we go:
1) Download NoPluginsToday (you'll most likely want the ARM version) from http://www.ictinus.com/NoPluginsToday/
2) Install the CAB somewhere. Make sure you know the exact location of NoPluginsToday.exe (e.g. \Storage\NoPluginsToday\NoPluginsToday.exe)
3) Create a shortcut to NoPluginsToday.exe in \Windows\Startup. Name this shortcut ZzzNoPluginsToday, so that it is last in the list of shortcuts to be launched.
4) Start a registry editor, and go to HKLM\init. Look for keys named LaunchXX. You'll want to create a new String key named LaunchYY, where YY is a bigger number than any of the XX you found. I created Launch99. The value for LaunchYY is the exact location of NoPluginsToday.exe (e.g. \Storage\NoPluginsToday\NoPluginsToday.exe) you looked up earlier.
Now you're set! Do a soft reset, and see your Bluetooth icon again! You'll notice your startup time may be a little longer.
How does it work?
The BT icon disappears because of a timeout issue when loading plugins.
We solve this by using NoPluginsToday, which switches all Today plugins off, remembers the settings, and reactivates them the next time it is executed.
By calling NoPluginsToday twice, once via the registry (early) and then again via \Windows\Startup (late), we "postpone" the loading of Today plugins until after the BT icon has been activated. That's your longer startup time for you.
Hope this helps!
cheers,
sheggario
Thanks for the tip, will try it out.
Been running PocketPlus 2.x on my Qtek S100 since the day I got it and no problems with the BT icon so far.
Same here .. PPlus2.5 on a Qtek s100 since they started to deliver them in Sweden..

hi guys
I am using the O2 Exec and just upgraded to Qtek's latest WWE ROM. However I noticed that after upgrading, that some programmes display weird symbols instead of normal text. These programmes include:
- Opera browser
- Today Time (a today plugin telling the time, written by a member here)
Is there any way to get rid of these symbols?
ok found the solution
basically its a problem on Opera side. All you need to do is to copy a system font (i chose Arial) from your desktop PC to the windows folder of your PPC.
Note: It's the windows folder and not the windows/font folder.
That should do the trick and you can now use one of the best browsers on one of the best PPCs.
Hope that helps
Worked for me. Thanks.
I am grateful for the tip .... it solved me a lot of hassle
regards
anyone knows somthin...?
What exactly are you asking?
I have HTC home 3 tab on my Wizard. It is also on many cooked WM6 roms for Wizard.
If you could explain a little more, perhaps we could help you.
>>HTC Home plugin for wizard???<<
just download the attachment(HTC Home Customizer), install to your device and run it..
it ask you about a data connection(for lower costs, connect via wlan) and will then automatically download a compatible version of the HTC HomePlugIn.
P.S:inside the zip exists a textdocumend, called "links.txt". See this file for manual download.
you can search for HTC Home or go to www.pocketemu.com and download both HTC Home and HHC from there.
Hi there,
I was trying pretty hard to get Windows Live Messenger to work on my MDA Compact IV (SwiftBL ROM) and I've finally done it!
This is what I did:
- Install Windows Live NoIM 0409.cab
- Soft reset
- Install Windows Live 10.6.39.1300.cab (with messenger)
- Soft reset
Other versions I've tried had problems like Messenger not loading up (executing it does nothing at all) or cannot tap to sign in to windows live, cannot tap to sign in to messenger, laggy/slow execution of windows live, etc.
Hope this helps someone!
Sir,
This is the solution for me! I've been trying to install Windows Live Messenger for weeks now, and this one finally worked on my MDA Vario IV. Thank you!

thank...it work on my t-mobile mda compact 4
Thanks, working on my diamond.
good job!!thanks a lot!
I just reinstaled the messenger cab and it worked again, phew
worked perfect! thanks!
Confirmed this works for a Dutch T-Mobile MDA Vario IV. (Touch Pro)
I just ran all the programs you (topicstarter) described and it works like a charm. Didn't try without installing the NoIM package first.
Thanks for the help.
I'm going to try this on my girlfriends MDA Compact IV (Touch Diamond) too, but judging from the comments from other users, it will probably work.
I had been running a LIVE Messenger cab from XDA on my Vario III, but it refused to run on my girlfriends Compact IV. At some point I gave up looking for a solution... Until I got my Vario IV
Used fring for a while, but it crashes for no reason and it appears (from their forums) that Fring stores all your IM passwords in a central database... Not something I really like.
lol no offense to the OP, but that method is pretty dumb. not only does it take a while to do, but it also downgrades you back to the older version of 10.6.39.1300
....check out the screenshot attachment in this post at the bottom. *gasp!* version 10.6.42.1900 with Messenger listed as an Installed Component.
All you need to do folks is re-add the registry keys that the NoIM installation removes for Messenger, and then WLMMessenger.exe executes and logs in just fine.
Attached in this post is a registry file in RestoreWLMMessenger.zip. You can use your favorite registry editing program to import it, or, my preferred method: use CeRegEditor (http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl). A very handy freeware PC program that lets you edit your device's registry once connected. Click the very first button in the toolbar to establish a connection after you plugged in your device, and then press CTRL+I to import the registry file.
...And you're done! No reset required.
To restore your Messenger icon in your Programs window, (because the NoIM installation also removes that!!!!), copy the Messenger.lnk file (also in the RestoreWLMMessenger.zip file) to your \Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder on your device.
I thought of making a .CAB to do all this for you but it would add a redundant entry to your Remove Programs list. It's better without the clutter
On the other hand a modified .CAB of the NoIM installation with its _setup.xml modified to include the missing registry keys would work as well, (though other files in the .CAB would also need to be altered).
For T-Mobile users: T-Mobile has come with a Windows Live for Windows devices. You can download it from their site.
hi guys (and girlz)
i have a question about some program/application icons on my htc snap with windows mobile 6.5, it comes with some pre-installed stuff and i want to delete the icons (not uninstall, just delete) and re-arrange them (so they won't apprear in my menu screen).
i came accross the problem, that when i use the explorer (in wm 6.5), the option, copy/paste/delete is not available, when i connect the device to my laptop using the windows explorer, i thought i would be able to go in to the windows folder of the device (like in wm5.0 and wm6.1).
however, that, it seems, is not the case, coz the folder does not appear in the windows explorer, does any one of you got some ideas i can try or do?
oh, and before i forget, does anyone of you also got a wm6.1 rom for the htc snap laying arround (non wiki links, since that is not working at the moment).
chill, hope to hear from you, thanx in advance.
kind regards,
alex (htc snap s521)
