I downloaded the new rom, along with opera mini again, but the opera mini is different from the old one, for instance, it doesnt show myspace as a full page that I can pick parts to zoom in on or any other page like that, and I get a lot of errors. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Uh... which "new rom?"
I have the DCD 2.3.2 rom in my xv6800 (Verizon), and am using Opera Mini B4 without any problems.
Could you be a little more specific in your question. Most of us want to help, but do not suffer ignorance easily (sorry). You need to give as much information about your setup as possible, because the answer(s) very much depend on your exact machine environment.

I have a CDMA Diamond Stock 1.22.557.1 ROM Running Opera 9.5 build 2392.
I dont have time (believe me I've tried) to read every post in every thread of each different version to figure out which ones do what. My question is which stable version is the most up to date that will work on my diamond and replace the current Opera thats installed? I don't want to have 2 separate operas taking up all my device storage, and I cant tell which build is the most recent because I have build 2392 and it looks like theres a newer verion thats 15613 or something. Also most of the threads dont even describe whats different about the build. Any help would be appreciated.
Unfortunately there's no single answer to your question.
(Not with the information you've given us.)
I suggest you start reading some Opera threads in the Development & Hacking forum (under General). If you want to make a quick selection on Opera threads, use the search!!!

This is one of the big problems from many users in the forum, they look for information and some freaks complain all along, sending you to the search function. I've tried self many times to look for some info and the search function didn't help me at all, but those who are permanently online (Qt:04:56 PM --> At:05:04 PM*) just can delivery a poorly answer like that
- Well, if you want a faster Opera, install the build 15746 from Samsung Omnia, it ist very fast, support flash and WMP plugins very well, but it does not support Diamond's scroll wheel for zooming and the view does not rotate via Diamonds sensor too. I had it for many weeks on my Device.
Opera v9.5 Build 15746 VGA Samsung Omnia
- Or just use the latest available version from Diamond Pro 2, this one, support flash and wmp plugins too, works stable and supports the scroll wheel, but the view rotation does not work here too
Opera v9.5 Build 15613 VGA Diamond PRO 2
Ahh... hands off from the Opera 9.5 Beta 2 available by Opera.com
Install the opera CAB.file on your main memory to prevent a dual installlation.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! That's all I needed to know. I dont know why so many people here think that google will take you to every single answer you're looking for. Sometimes its just not there. Again thank you for your help!
EDIT: I understand the Omnia version does not support the scroll zoom but does it still support the double tap zoom? Also is the Omnia version stable otherwise? I like faster and the scroll wheel isnt that big of a deal so as long as I can zoom some way I'll go with that one.
You're welcome

Any noticable improvements to warrant loading the newer diamond 2 build over the existing one? I cannot find any comparisons or feature rundown to determine if it worth the effort.
Anybody have some personal feedback?
Ceger
thanks for great answer, i downloaded the Opera v9.5 Build 15613 VGA Diamond PRO 2.. the good thing is the view rotation works on my diamond.
Hey guys, I Dl and installed the 15746 vers from omnia and opera keeps starting by itself over and over again. I cant get it to stay closed.
I just upgraded to the Diamond PRO 2 version on my Diamond and was able to run it once. Now every other time it just doesn't do anything. :S
EDIT: Ok, looks like it was a temporary bug, after a reboot it starts up normally after each close. Another question, maybe noobish... where is this opera.ini everyone keeps talking about? I can't find it.
hi every1,

We'll need a little more info...
Some models of the TP2 came with pIE (pocket IE) set as the default browser (even though Opera was also installed), and some came with one of several different versions of Opera installed AND set as default (even though pIE was installed), depending on the which carrier's ROM came on the phone.
So...what carrier, and what version of winmo?
Also, here's a great thread that orb3000 put together with all sorts of info about the different versions of opera mobile, might help you pin down which one you're looking for.
i've got WM 6.1 and .. what else?? mine's called t7373:
My apologies for not finding this answer in the forum here, but as a new LEO owner, I'd like to find out exactly what version of Opera mobile my phone came with. Is there a revision number or version of Opera somewhere in my device?
thanks....
mostly should be version 9.7
So there is NOT a way to tell, just sorta guess because the phone is new?
I'm asking cuz I have NO flash abilities no Turbo mode, but DO have PTZ.
If I have 9.7 I guess the next upgrade is 10 for Opera.
I gotta say, this device is the nutz, but WM really blows. I'm considering sending back for a Samsung Vibrant since I'm still under guarantee and W7 mobile will NOT be offered for TMoUS. I verified this with my local provider.

In Opera, go to the options (the right most icon) and go to 'Help', then select the 'About' link.
Why do you need to find out what version of Opera you have?
It comes with 9.7 but I'm pretty sure it's a customized version for the hd2. There are features on it that's just not available on Opera Mobile 10 - I tried a whole bunch of browsers and decided I prefer 9.7 over any of them. You can certainly try it yourself, OM 10 won't upgrade your 9.7, it'll be a separate install.
If you want a taste of Android go check out the android section for the HD2, it's come a long way and you can get froyo right now
Hello guys.
I want to start by saying that I'm a real newbie when it comes to phones; I have absolutely no knowledge concering them.
I just bought a real nice (and cheap) HTC Elf (Model nr. HTC_P3450 or ELF0100, I dunno which one is the real model nr.), installed with Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Its current version is: CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3)
Now, to the question:
How do I install another keyboard? The one I have right now is rubbish and I am forced to use a stylus in order to write comfortably.
I need a complete step-by-step tutorial on how to download, install it and apply it. Oh and one more thing, I don't have an USB cable, so I am forced to do everything from the phone (Yes, I have internet and I am using Opera Mini 10).
I haven't installed anything on the phone expect for Opera and some other keyboard layouts (that I uninstalled later)
Before anyone rages, I just want to let you guys know that I have searched for different tutorials. But really I find it all confusing, especially this forum for how big it is. I have even tried to download and install many different keyboard layouts (ex. Unofficial Touch PhonePad (+VGA) and vibrate dialpad), but they just don't seem to work (I'm sure that I'm doing it wrong).
Thanks in advance!
